SLUMDOG MILLONAIRE!!! I already did my rah rah reh reh ooo ahhh over SM on the movie review thread but I can always do it again. . . The Movie was AWESOME. It is the movie to see this year, . . At least before the Oscars!! Rotflmao, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought it's time the did a movie in Lagos to showcase it in all it's squalorific splendor!! ![]() A couple of friends took offense to the fact that I thot we've got Mumbai beat in squalordom and all we needed was someone to do it justice. Oh Yeah. . .SM beats COG anyday and it doesn't matter that I haven't seen COG. ![]() |

Rotflmao! Awww, Ruwa ka na jin Hausa? Madallah! To muyi magana? |
Rotflmao! So that's how you work, eh? Claiming you left a girl speechless by confusing her with triple and off speak. I got your number, Mr. Man. . . I got your number. (8 Let me reteriate my point - Mother in laws fighting with their daughter in laws is not tradition/Culture. It's an individual thing. Women being forced to drink their dead husband's bath water for assurance is part of the culture that caters to the men's egos. Ka gani? |
Hmmmm, Ka je hutu? Eh, eh, eh *tafa*. . . Ina ruwa muna da kudi! Hehehehehe! ![]() Allah, ina Roko. . . ka bani irin wannan, eh! Ina so kudi ko muji wai ya na da kudi kaman kasa!! (Amin) To Muza, wanne island ka je? Bora Bora ko Bermuda? ![]() |
na2day?: ![]() |
na2day?:Okay, I'll give you that but it isn't culture, it's just petty jealousy!! I am so winning this. . . how can you doubt that??!! ![]() |
na2day?:https://smiley.onegreatguy.net/comfort.gif Nothing do me before now, no thanks to you naija men and your yeye stickler for stupid culture na2day?:Ayiiiiin? ![]() Abeg, if the men don't die, whose corpse water will the women be force to drink? My Point is - Why don't men drink the bath water of their dead wives??!! Why??! If they did, I bet the tradition will be long gone by now!! It makes them feel important to have women subjected to this depravity just for their sake and they feel even more so because they have gotten other women to do the execution. Unfortunately, they fail to see that all these things they do to make themselves feel important only shows how insecure they are. |
@ Topup Seriously, don't feel defensive. . . no one here can read you posts and think you stupid. Your analytic mind is admirable and it does take a certain maturity to want to know the truth even if it might be painful. I just don't think you should waste your time and mind on someone who has proven he really has not appreciation for them. Some of our words may be strongly worded but it's not an attack on you (or anyone else for that matter), it's just frustration over the fact that you don't seem to know that you are way to good for this guy! Like H202 said, even if you two become friends, know there is a limit to the topics you should discuss with him. Good Luck! @ Iyalode Iyalode, I wonderfully and joyfully yonda! Thanks but no thanks! There can be only one and you are it!! Besides, being iyalode is too much work jare and I am way too lazy for that. Couch Potato is my middle name but you can call me Couchie. ![]() netotse:Lol. . . that's still up for debate! ![]() |
H2O2:Lawd-a-mercy!! I knew you had a sensitive side but I never thought I'd live to see the day. I'm just so. . . so. . . https://smiley.onegreatguy.net/bye.gif happy! |
jenju:Ahh, slang ne? Ban sani ba! Muza:A gaishe ka Muza! Yaya aiki? |
na2day?:Just because the women execute these dastardly deeds does not mean they are truly in charge. Pray tell what you think would happen if the decide not to do it? The men get all up in arms about it of course, ranting and raving about how the women are trying to do away with the culture because of enlightenment. Another thing, why is it the woman who has to drink the bath water of her dead husband's corpse? Hmmm [img]http://l.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons7/23.gif Ya getting the picture now? by the way, thanks for the pet on the head, it felt goodRotflmao! Okay far be it of me to deprive you of pets on the head, so here's another https://smiley.onegreatguy.net/bash.gif and another https://smiley.onegreatguy.net/brick.gif, oh I'll just go ahead and bury you in 'em https://smiley.onegreatguy.net/pile.gif. Happy. . . Pappi? |
