Jeebus H. Christo! Good thing the standards they used to define Uncle Toms and Aunt Jemima's were a lot more lenient in the past because. . . oh my, because only God knows if we'll have any black people left after all the lynching and burning at the stake for expressing a feeling.

Newsflash - You can LIKE something or someone and still get tired of HEARING of it. No one can deny we are slowly being burdened with an over abundance of Obama mania. It's not the man's fault, it is the people using his name for evey little thing who are to blame here and this is what she is simply saying.

Pastors Preach your message with bringing Obama into it, he ain't Jesus!

Jeez!

Amid the tribal in fighting, the everyone for only their own mentality which plagues Nigerians, rises Mama Ekundayo. A Nigerian woman who in 1969 decided to dedicate her life to caring for abandoned children. As of 2008 Mama Ekundayo has mothered over 470 children. . . from all tribes, all parts of Nigeria, tall, short, fat, thin, brown eye, black haired. . .

This song by Ty Bello is dedicated to Mama Ekundayo. . . Mama Rere.

EducationScience Question by SisiJinx(op): 12:27am On Nov 10, 2008
The following is an actual question given on a Washington State University Student Chemistry mid-term.

Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?

Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle’s Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant.

One student, however, wrote the following:

First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let’s look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell.

Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle’s Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added.

This gives two possibilities:

1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.

2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.

So which is it?

If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year that, “It will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you,” and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number two must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over.

The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore, extinct…… leaving only Heaven, thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, last night, Teresa kept shouting “Oh my God.”

THIS STUDENT SUPPOSEDLY RECEIVED THE ONLY “A”.

Don't don't damn me if you've read this before, I hear the joke is as old hell! Get it. . . HELL!  https://www.sherv.net/cm/emo/laughing/crying.gif

French say 'Yes, we can!' too, to ending racism
3 hours ago

PARIS — Inspired by Barack Obama, the French first lady and other leading figures say it's high time for France to stamp out racism and shake up a white political and social elite that smacks of colonial times.

A manifesto published Sunday — subtitled "Oui, nous pouvons!", the French translation of Obama's campaign slogan "Yes, we can!" — urges affirmative action-like policies and other steps to turn French ideals of equality into reality for millions of blacks, Arabs and other alienated minorities.

"Our prejudices are insidious," Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, a singer and wife of President Nicolas Sarkozy, said in an interview with the Journal du Dimanche newspaper, which published the manifesto. She said she hoped the "Obama effect" would reshape French society.

Nations across Europe rejoiced over Obama's victory, seeing it as a triumph for American democracy and a world weary of President George W. Bush. But Obama's election also illustrated an uncomfortable truth: how far European countries with big minority populations have to go getting nonwhites into positions of power.

Grass-roots groups in France and Britain are trying to turn Obama's election into electoral gains for minorities at home. Sunday's manifesto suggests France's elites are taking notice, too.

"The election of Barack Obama highlights via a cruel contrast the shortcomings of the French Republic, and the distance that separates us from a country whose citizens knew how to go beyond the racial question and elect a man who happens to be black as president," the appeal said.

"What a lesson!" it went on. "We French ,  should listen to it well."

The manifesto was written by Yazid Sabeg, a French self-made millionaire whose parents were Algerian immigrants, and signed by politicians from the left and right and other public figures.

Obama is extremely popular in France, yet blacks and other minorities are nearly invisible in national or local politics here. The lower house of parliament has 555 members from the French mainland; just one is black.

"We shouldn't be surprised that Obama's popularity is so high here: It testifies to the aspirations of all the children of France who are experiencing by proxy a recognition that France does not give them," the manifesto reads. "It also betrays the bad faith of those who welcome the victory of modernity outside our borders, in order to tolerate the status quo here."

The manifesto calls for affirmative action policies like those the United States used years ago to encourage greater minority representation in the workplace and in universities.

Sarkozy has suggested affirmative action for France, but later backed away from the idea since it goes against France's ideals of egalitarianism, which dictate that the country not classify its citizens according to race. This idea that everyone is just "French" means there are no census or other national figures calculating how big the country's minority groups are.

The manifesto urges term limits to make way for more minority candidates, and presses the government to improve schools in working-class neighborhoods.

That appears to be a reference to housing projects heavily populated by nonwhite immigrants and their families, areas that erupted in riots in 2005 by disenfranchised youth, many of them Arab and black children of immigrants.

Critics say the tough-talking Sarkozy fanned discrimination ahead of the riots. Manifesto author Sabeg slammed efforts under Sarkozy to help minority neighborhoods as "an empty shell."

Bruni-Sarkozy said she couldn't sign the appeal because of her status as first lady but that she fully supported it. She is quoted in the Journal du Dimanche as calling Obama's election "an immense joy."

The Italian-born first lady exhibited optimism in her adopted land, saying Sarkozy's ethnically mixed background is a sign that France is open to change.

"My husband is not Obama. But the French voted for the son of a Hungarian immigrant, whose father has an accent, whose mother is of Jewish origin. (Sarkozy) has always considered himself as a bit of a Frenchman from elsewhere," Bruni-Sarkozy is quoted as saying.

She also took a dig at the prime minister of her native Italy, Silvio Berlusconi, for saying last week that Obama is "tanned." The often impolitic and suntanned Berlusconi defended it as a compliment, but Bruni-Sarkozy saw the situation differently.

"I'm very glad to have become French," she said.

Next Stop. . . Six Feet Under.

Oh Grow up!

Wait. . . What? Grow up? What exactly have I been doing these years? Growing down?

Grow up? Just because I crawl on floor playing war games with a 5 yrs old? So what if my last long conversation was with 11 yrs old on how glaring the flaws in High School Musical 3 are when compared to High School Musical 1 or that I run up the stairs, instead of walking like someone going to the Guillotine? Why do I have to hang out with bo.or.ing people just because they are "adults" when I can be with exciting people whose only crime is their young age?

I have a good job. I pay. . . okay, I don’t pay anything yet but as God is my witness, as soon as I get something to pay, I WILL pay it. I am responsible, I am dependable. . . I am grown up goddammit, so stop telling me to because I don’t walk around with a dour expression or act like the weight of the world is on my shoulder.

Grow up! I’ll show you grow up! angry

If you are like me then you will at this time be deeply concerned about what Mrs. Sarah Palin can do to occupy herself in the future, as she sinks back into well-deserved obscurity now that she has been identified as one of the primary reasons that John Mcain lost the US presidential election to Barak Obama.

Since Mrs. Palin is the mother of several dozen children and a certified gun nut who is prone to creative accounting with government money, as well as the flagrant abuse of power as evidenced by her sacking of an Alaskan police officer who jilted Sarah's sister, it just occurred to me that this semi-educated bush-woman woman would be the PERFECT candidate for a post in Nigerian politics.

Regardless of how Sarah Palin is perceived, she at least deserves praise for being bold enough to open her mouth and make crowds of the faithful cheer hysterically, even though the words emanating from her lipstick-on-a-pig orifice did little more than illustrate Mrs. Palin's profound ignorance on all subjects of political relevance except perhaps the details about Alaska's hunting season.     Now THAT is the sort of public office holder that Nigeria needs, and I am thus honored to announce the commencement of a NEW campaign to get Mrs. Palin, along with her horde of children and illegitimate grand-children, over to Nigeria, so that she can run for office as Federal Minster of Modalities, a lucrative post that will be blessed with unlimited funding from Nigeria's Petroleum Trust Fund.

Please let us join our efforts towards this noble and patriotic new initiative to save Mrs. Palin from fading into insignificance, so that she can save Nigeria by entertaining the electorate with empty, rabble-rousing speeches whenever the occasion arises.

as depressing as that was,and i feel great pity for those chilren,i feel they are being exploited.so a documentary is being made about children who sniff glue, and the network will pay whoever owns it alot of money, how is that going to help the street children?
You know a quick google search would have gone a long way. . . .

Please pay close attention to the bolded part

The Glue Boys; Where are they now?

Paul and Evans:
Paul was one of the first Glue Boys we (the Glue Boys film crew) got to know quite well. The morning we filmed Paul sleeping on the porch of a small shop in Kitale, would be his last night on the street. After spending some time with Paul and getting to know him and his daily routine, we discovered an incredibly smart and talented young man hidden behind the tattered clothes and stench of stale glue. Evans, six years old, was one of the youngest boys we met while filming in Kitale. He was also the kindest and most playful boy we met on the streets. Whenever we saw Evans, he was always playing with something. Whether it was a rock he was kicking, or a bottle he was tossing around, or a toy he had made out of trash, his childlike innocence was still intact. Paul and Evans are now living at a group home established by the crew of Glue Boys while filming in Kitale. The home is now managed by Oasis of Hope, a local drop in center for street kids in Kitale.

John:
After running away from Laban’s house and the “Hope of Kenya” program, John was seen living on the streets of Nairobi and sniffing glue again. However after only a few weeks of life on the harsh Nairobi streets and away from the safety of Laban’s house, John made his way back to Kitale and back to the program. We are very hopeful that John will remain in the program and continue in his education.

Dennis and Musa:
Like Paul and Evans, Dennis and Musa were two of the Glue Boys who were invited to live in the group home we created. However Dennis and Musa had a problem with the “no glue sniffing” rule at the house and after many warnings ended up back on the streets. On a return trip to Kitale we ran into Dennis again on the streets. He was even deeper into his addiction to glue and it was taking a heavy toll on his health. He begged us to let him return to the home, however he refused to give up his glue sniffing habit. Musa is also still living on the streets however he is getting help from the Oasis of Hope drop in center and working towards quitting his glue sniffing habit.

Charles and Thomas:
After filming the story of Charles and Thomas, we knew we could not leave these two very young boys with their ailing mother on the streets of Kitale. Working with a local social worker and Kitale Children’s officer, and at the request of their mother, we were able to get Charles and Thomas a home. We were also able to get Charles and Thomas’ mother to stay in the home, however by this time her illness had become more severe rendering her completely incapable of caring for her children or herself. She died two weeks after we were able to help get her two boys into a home. It is hard to imagine what would have happened if those two boys were left alone on the streets, only to be raised by other glue boys. Unfortunately we know there other children as young as Charles and Thomas being raised by other street children all over the world.
