Nonsense!

He should be able to spend his $2m anyhow he wishes.

He should even be able to decide to shyt on it before incinerating it.

What business of it is the government how he spends the money he earned?
undecided im sure he knew the $2million was part of their joint estate so i don't understand why you are making it your headache personally. Everyone knows before marriage what will happen in case they ever have to divorce so why act like he entered in the marriage blindly? Your opnion will not change the decision given, so i do not know why you want to give yourself a nose bleed over it

I've a problem with the term 'husband's money'
If they were married it belonged to both of them.

But as is pointed out in the story. The judge was obviously biased towards the woman and against the man.

65-35 ke?

What happened to 50-50?

Is it because he allegedly wasted 2million of the family money before it could be shared?
You have answered yourself. It would not be 50/50 if he was allowed to just waste $2million and still get 50% of what is left.

change the 'can' to may then you know there are two endings to the story.
Fat is not healthy, it's general knowledge. the fact that you base your opinion on rare occasions makes this argument pointless;
a fat girl that's flexible
a slim girl that is not
Melissa McCarthy and Eniola Badmus make a statement because they are fat and they can pretty much do what slim people can do. now why is that a big deal? it's because you don't see people like that everyday.

I've taught you two things; 1. Fat is not healthy
3. Ignore the irrelevance(s) in your opponent's argument
2. You can actually make your point(s) without insult(s)

sellah!
P.S
'shed off weight' not 'shade of weight'
i did not in any way insult i simply spoke the truth as is it. Know the difference. I will not call a shallow person smart, i will call a spade a spade.

it's bad enough to have a wrong opinion,it's worse to be headstrong and take decisions based on it.

it's your duty to watch your child's weight.if the mother was not negligent, the child would not have taken it upon herself to reshape,13 years is not a wrong age to know what shape is healthy(not sexy), it all depends on the motive..

fat people are slower at doing things and mostly lazy, talk not of a child..that girl is fat for her age

the self esteem talk is for another day

I don't know why this world is full of too many ignorant people. I have a little sister who is on the chubby side, she can cook, clean and she can be on the go for hours plus she is much more flexible than i am when it comes to dancing and doing yoga positions.

My 2012 skinny roommate in university that could not cook, clean or be in the gym for more than 5mins. Her boyfriend had to cook for himself whenever he came over because ordinary rice she could not even boil properly.

That girl is slightly chubby not disabled. She can shade of the weight as she grows taller. Its useless shallow people like that feel inferior and inadequate that you think that if you trash talk people different from you for everyone else will find them unappealing so you can feel better about yourself.

South Africa also has the largest economy in Africa, charges heavy taxes which they use to fund their universities well among other things....and you did not tell us how much tuition costs for international students.

Babcock by contrast receives zero government funding.

P.S- $3000 is N598,000...which is about what it costs in Wits university in SA. (Medicine costs higher).

you checked the fees for Univen, UP, UJ and UFS undecided of cause there will always be schools that are cost more than others.

many have suffered doing this i would advice you to use a study visa, do a postgrad degree in SA then look for a job after that.

Also enquires about doing masters in south african schools, what wud it involve and likely estimated cost, wud i be allowed to work along wf my studies??

Pls help need on all questions above as well
Costs can only be determined depending on the degree you want to do and where you want to do it. You will have to give a little more information on that.
I am not too sure about being allowed to work given that you are West African but i know that foreign students from East and Southern Africa are allowed to work at most 20hrs a week.

For study permit, you apply directly at the South African embassy in November provided your admission is for 2016 academic year. The address is 24, Molade Okoya- Thomas street, Victoria Island.
The requirements are:
- Valid International passport
- Completed visa application form with two passport photographs
- Yellow fever vaccination card
- Letter of admission
- Proof of sufficient funds (i.e Sponsors bank statement and any other support document in this case)
- Proof of registered health insurance scheme in SA
- Medical and radiological (x- ray) report from any govt hospital in Nigeria
- Visa application fees
- HESA evaluation certificate (Since you are pursuing undergraduate studies)
- Evidence of arrangements made regarding accommodation during study
- Letter of introduction from sponsor indicating his/her relationship to you, readiness to sponsor your academic pursuit and his/ her work status.

The sponsor need not be a direct relative.

You can visit the embassy for further clarifications just in case there might be any addition to the requirements stated above. All the best.

Including a copy of an unbridged birth certificate and police clearance if this is the new study visa

Hello nairalanders, its great to be on this forum.please when can I apply for undergraduate study permit at SA embassy in Lagos. I got an admission letter from UJ today.
Secondly, what are the other likely requirements for the permit.
Lastly, pls does the sponsor has to be direct relative or anyone would do. Thanks for your kind responses
visit the vfsglobal website and check for study visa requirements in SA. You sponsor i think can be anyone provided that the person has sufficient funds and they agree in writing that there are responsible for your upkeep during your studies in SA
Travel / Re: Nigerian Citizenship For An African American by SisterCaro(m): 10:09am On Aug 20, 2015
Phema:

You think so? You may have to think again. It is actually one of the most difficult to get. You become a Nigerian citizen only when you satisfy one of the following conditions;

- Atleast, one of your parents is a Nigerian citizen.

- You are married to a Nigerian. And this only applies to foreign women married to Nigerian men. Foreign men married to Nigerian women donot qualify.

- You are above 17years old and have stayed in Nigeria for atleast 15 years, is familiar with the languages and customs, of good behavior and plan to remain in Nigeria. And oh, you must renounce your previous citizenship. People in this category donot qualify for dual citizenship.

So, even being born in Nigeria doesn't automatically make one a citizen, except one of his/her parents is one.

OP, I doubt you will qualify. Knowing that your ancestors may be from Nigeria isn't enough for you to become a citizen.
All this na wash i have a Namibian friend who got a Nigerian birth certificate, ID and passport in less than 48hrs. None of her parents are Nigerian and this was her first visit to naija. She got it through her boyfriend and he only got it for her because she wanted not because it had a specific purpose.
Abeg whats difficult there?

Hey everyone out there in Nairaland, I have a question: Can an African American with Nigerian ancestry gain Nigerian citizenship? I traced my ancestry several months ago and discovered my paternal and maternal genetic ancestry traced back to Nigeria. My fathers line being a 100% match for the Hausa ethnic group and my mothers line being a 100% match for Yoruba/Hausa ethnicities. My father is African American and my mother is from Barbados so I already have American/Bajan citizenship. However, due to slavery and all the events that came along with that years ago, all of my family's ties to Nigeria have been severed forcefully. I just want to be the one to re-establish the relationship. Could I be eligible for Nigerian citizenship because of my ancestors?

Thanks in advance guys

This is highly laughable considering that there are SA institutions that have 3times better facilities, infrastructure and education that do not even have tuition fees that cost up to $3,000 ( including accommodation and books) then you have this joke of a university hiking fees without anything to show for it? This is sad.

by American doctor i mean he is a qualified and registered doctor in the USA. Fact remains she is a feminist and she is happily married.

The fact that they had been together since childhood proves that her ideologies are not what makes her a good wife but rather he character.

Somewhere in the African jungle irrelevant unmarried jobless people are giving themselves a headache over who marries who.
