Every nation has its issues; I mean very serious wahala. But Naija own tire me - The kind of things we do to ourselves would be High Treason offences if citizens of another nation perpetuated them on us.

You believe wrongly. I am not approving of, and do condemn, atrocities committed by anyone (Muslim, christian, oracle priest or whatever). What I do have a problem with is people, pretending like if 'Christians' are holier than thou, who use the fact that some muslims commit atrocities, or make some condemnable statements, as a sufficient requisite to find all Muslims and Islam guilty of the offence. Yet they would not apply same measure to other people and religion.

Some of the worst leaders in history like Hitler, or organizations like KKK, thought of themselves as Christians, and yet I don't see anybody throwing the entire Christendom under the bus. After all, wasnt the slave trade dominated by christians? Nigeria is filled with people who claim to be either Christian or Muslim and yet they commit some of the worst atrocities you can think of. I have met several God fearing people and have also seen some devil incarnates, yetr I have never observed any correlation between their nature and their religious affiliation. If someone does that which is wrong, condemn him and hold the individual responsible for his speech or actions, but do not use such as an opportunity to take shots or make sweeping condemnation of another religion.

Anyone is free to condemn the statement by the sultan, but it should not be used as an excuse to assault Islam. More so, the Sultan's position in the Nigerian Muslim community is by virtue of his birth and enthronement, and not piety. So there is nothing to say he is even a good muslim.

Most of the people in this forum sound bias because instead of disagree with what Sultan said they are blaming his religion abah!!! If truly we are sincere about the unity of the country let us face reality.

Is it only Muslim that commit crime in Jos? As for me no!!! because those Generals there are doing more evil undernet.Imagine before 2002,no problem in Jos,Why sudden change? I believed the perpetrators of this killing in Jos and other part of this great Nigeria will suffer.

Back to the utterance ascribe to Sultan. I don't agree with him by linking it with religion at all. But we should understand that nobody blame Christianity when OBJ,Iwu and other commit my mistake/crime so let us be sincere and contribute meaningfully when issues like this is being addressed.

Remember that all these traditional rulers are more like political part or godfather used by the wick/rich to enslave our thought/reasoning take or leave it so Sultan does not represent Muslims veiw in this case.

suspected to belong to the Al-Qaeda network, Ibrahim Haman Ahmed, who was extradited to the United States of America by Nigerian government officials had been on the wanted list of the United States Central Intelligence Agency for more than two years, security and diplomatic sources in Abuja told Vanguard, yesterday.

The man who was allegedly trained by Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan and Pakistan and working for the Al-Shabaab group in Somalia, was said to be the most senior figure of the terrorist organization in Nigeria. He was said to be trying to recruit young Nigerian Muslims to join the terrorist organization.

Ahmed’s arrest and extradition to the United States was, however, said to be connected to his role in fighting the government of Somalia where he was said to have spent eight months.

He was extradited from Nigeria to the United States through the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. Before then, he was said to have hiden somewhere in Sokoto and moving around the north western states of Kano, Katsina, Kebbi and Zamfara states where he was said to have been targeting western educated youths for recruitment.

According to Vanguard sources, Ahmed was arrested by security officials in Sokoto following intelligence provided by American security organizations, the Central Intelligence Agency, CIA, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI.
A special jet, ostensibly provided by the CIA was flown into Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja, Friday night and where parked till Saturday morning when the terror suspect was moved in.

According to security sources at the airport, Ahmed was driven through the tarmac to the foot of the aircraft where he disembarked and was handed over to the waiting American security operatives.

Security cooperation

A source told Vanguard: “He was hooded, handcuffed and had leg shackles and was led by two men into the aircraft. He did not pass through normal entry at the airport but was driven though the tarmac right to the foot of the aircraft where he was led into the awaiting American jet. Airport staff were prevented from going near them by both Nigerian and American security men.”

It was gathered that his extradition was part of security cooperation between the United States government and her Nigerian counterpart in tackling growing terrorist threat in Africa.

The December last year attempt by Nigerian born Faruk Abdulmutallab to bomb a jetliner destined for Detroit, USA, Nigeria has attracted closer scrutiny from the American security apparatus which has listed Nigeria as a country of interest on terrorism.

The arrest of the terror suspect who is suspected to be from Eritrea has, however, heightened American concerns about Nigeria which is seen as an emerging haven for Muslim terrorists around the world.

A western diplomat in Abuja told Vanguard yesterday that with this development, it was becoming increasingly difficult for Nigeria to be de-listed from the American list of countries of interest, stressing: “Nigeria has to do more than protest for it to be de-listed from the American list.”

Repeated attempts by Vanguard to get official reactions from the State Security Services were unsuccessful as repeated calls to the spokes person of the service, Mrs. Marylyn Ogar were abortive.

But when we look at it, Moslems are always fighting every other religion. And the tolerance they want, they cant give to other religion.

In US and Europe we have Large mosques, Where in thos Moslem countries do you have Xtians able to worship without fear.

While I was serving in Bauchi, It didnt rain for like 2 months and a warning was issued that all xtians should leave because we are the ones descecrating the land.

The authorities had to tell them that if they touch any Corper, the entire village would be wiped out by the FG.

I am proud to be a muslim and will like us to be cautious when we judge people base on their utterance and action. Islam is a religion of peace and that is divine. Problems with those who instead of preach what is in the scriptures (both Muslims and Xtians) is Sycophancy ,how do we say we know more than the Almighty God who created us. How many of our wrong doings have we been punished for ? Can we really fight in the true Religious way ? How many soul are we winning by out attitudes. I love the recent speech by Pastor Tunde Bakare when he said he hates the word religion (that its a bondage) he said he prefers faith. Who are we deceiving ,even all of us posting here ,what have we done in our different beliefs to impress our own heart that we are what we preach. Go ye into the world and preach the gospel ! that's what the Bible said and the Quran also emphasis that no one is good in speech than someone who call others to prayer. How long are we going to continue with all this ? Tribal & Religious sentiments and we need a change !

I am from oyo state and almost Every family have xtians and Moslems so you expect me to take arms against my cousins? It cant happen na just threat.
