Frontpage material unfortunately we don tire to hear about blogging.
Articles on blogging are now like bestseller series; each book containing the same information as the last, only paraphrased and sometimes rearranged to sound different.
you are right bro and also wrong.. This is actually the ist time these niches would be talked about, in this way smiley I know it will still make it though . d FP..but I hope it is not d time when I won't be able to answer people's questions

So you are a blogger? You love the name and the prestige that comes with it, you have even stepped up your game.you now have a domain name, and ur blog is now being hosted on a prestigious hosting website..and viola! You achieved the dream of many bloggers "AdSense!" .. You felt you have arrived but AdSense start paying you in tawdry cents , cos you are getting low traffic, or no traffic at all , one time readers and no subscribers.

You felt paying for traffic is the next resort, you did, you got traffic but you couldn't convert the new readers into subscribers , they bounce off quickly and they aren't coming tomorrow..so what is the problem?

No..you are not cursed but indirectly you have been running a rat race and in a rat race no one ever wins, you have landed yourself on the wrong side of the blogging bed.

Rat race in blogging simply means a situation when you are putting all efforts into your blogs but you are getting low or no result at all or when you are running a blog where there is 80% chance of u not getting successful in the blog...

How to know you might be running a rat race with your blog.

1.when You can't write an article or a post without copying somewhere

2. When You got no comments on conversational posts

3. When you got No social media shares or ratings on your post.

4. When you don't have subscribers

5. When you don't get views unless you spam forums.

So you might argue with me that all new generational blogs face this issue before they become big but there are some blogging niches that in this present age, no matter what you post, your chances of getting successful or getting out of the rat race are pretty slim.. These blogging niches are over populated and 70% of blogs that get closed every day are based on these niches , I call them the ratty niches..they are;

(Note; new bloggers if you just created a blog on these niches; please kindly close em. And intending bloggers, just leave these niches, it aint worth it)

1. The celebrity gists niche: this niche is presently the most populated niche in Nigeria, ever since Linda ikeji the popular celebrity niche female blogger acquired her 500m+ mansion , there is a high boost in the number of celebrity niche blogs being opened perday just like the oil boom, everybody thinks it is the surest way to make money, infact 50% of blogs being opened per day are based on this niche but many are disappointed.. And getting disappointed each day..

The truth is that the celebrity niche is an antique niche which is dead to new bloggers and only favours the old players in the game like Linda ikeji, Stella dimorkorkus,Bella naija etc, these people got money , are popular with celebs and invited specially to events ,they have people sourcing out correct gists for them before it reaches anywhere, and some times celebrities even give them the gists themselves, so they leave you to do this .

You create social media accounts, you follow many celebrities, you stalk em, you check their older pictures ,you throw dibs at em, so that you can get posts or pictures to post, after finally getting it, you rush off to your blog to post and off to nairaland you come to open threads with some few pictures and your blog link, but alas! You found out that a blogger had been faster.and your prize post is already on front page..sorry try again next time..lol..if this continuous process don't tell on you physically, it will tell on you emotionally..

.2. The news update niche.: seriously if you are not popular , or have access to news first hand, your blog won't get recognized, you will keep trailing behind huge news sites or forums like Nairaland, punchng.com, saharatv, vanguard, naij etc, do you really think you can stand a competition with these sites? Even if you get to receive news first hand and people get to read it, they still won't believe you until they have read it on these big sites and the name of your blog would be forgotten but if you really want to go for this niche, instead of just posting news like a robot, why don't you add your own touch to it and comment on it just like j.j omojuwa? Add your spice to it, don't remove or add to the news, but you can tell your readers what you think about the news, that way you can make a name for yourself in the niche.

3. Tech niche- this niche is good though but if you don't receive news about tech first hand , have the ability to source out current news or have the capital to try out new gadgets , you will only depend on copy and paste and it won't work for you.

but then what is the solution? Should we just chuck it up a notch and say not everybody can be a blogger? No! Definitely not, as long as you can read, write and use the internet you can be a blogger , then what is the way out?

It is simple,

1. follow your heart, not the crowd
If you want to create a blog, then create a blog about what you love doing, about your talent
If you love singing, create a blog about music..
If you love cooking. Create a blog about African or international dishes
If you love stories or poems; create a blog about it etc
then when people want to learn or know about these things, they will know your blog is the best place to get it and they will happy to be your regular readers and subscribers.

2. Stop copying and pasting.. Be original, write your own things.

3. Stop writing like a robot.. Try to be interactive with your readers

4. Write long contents (at least 900 words long) for better seo.

5. Write less, promote more, if you spend an hour writing a post, spend like 6 hours or more promoting it..

6. Don't spam forums and popular blog's comment box

JAMB 2016 SHOULD NOT BE SCRAPPED/REMARKED...

I Have Been Reading Online Posts On Nairaland, MySchool & Some Other Blogs, And I Kept Seeing Lazy Users Screaming, Calling For The Scrapping Of Jamb 2016.
I Simply Read & Laugh At These Posts.

After This Post, Richiez , olawalebabs , Fynestboi & Lalasticlala Should Stop Paying Attention To Those UnPrepared/ Dull Candidates Calling For The Scrapping Of JAMB 2016. Because, As Far As You Are Intelligent, You Must Definitely beat The Mere 180+ Cutoff Mark, Even If Your Result Was Poorly Marked.

Jamb Has Been In Existence Since 1978. And It Has Been The Only Body Screening Secondary School Leavers Before Post Utme Was Introduced In 2005.

Fast forward To 2015 When CBT Was Fully Introduced, Its Safe To Say That It Was Success. And Now 2016, And I Must Say It Is A Huge Success As Well. For All Those Screaming #RemarkJamb2016 / #ScrabJamb2016, I Am Sorry To Say You All Are Dead Heads, Empty Brain.

Before You Throw Stones At Me. I Also Wrote This Years Jamb And Scored 243, Reason Was That I Prepared 100%. I Got All My Essential Chemistry, Physics, Maths & English Text Books. Plus Downloaded The Syllabus Of Each Subject & Read It Word For Word. (That's The Criteria For Passing JAMB)

I Didn't Rely On Past Questions Like Most Of You Did. I guess That's The Reason Why Y'all Failed. Also, Most Of Y'all Spent All Your Time On Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter While The Wise Ones Was Busy Preparing.

Plus Those Of You Making Stupid Suggestions On Scrapping Jamb, Meaning Whosoever Passed WAEC Would Just Go And Sit For Post Utme. WTF huh
WAEC Is The Most Corrupt Exam Body, As SS3 students No Longer Write WAEC By Themselves. They Now Depend On Miracle Centers.

My Advice To Those Who Scored Below 180 In This Years Jamb Exam Is: Quit Most Of Your Online Activities & LOVE Your Book. For God's Sake What Is Wrong With This Indomie Generation huh

You Guys Are Just Too Lazy To Read. And It Is The Lazy Ones That Are Screaming #ScrapJamb, While The Intelligent Ones (Me Inclusive) Are Already Preparing For Post Utme.

The responses on this thread SHa...

Some of you are saying this has nothing to do with Islam bla bla, some Pastors also rape kids bla bla. Are you sure you read the story? WHY ARE THE PERPETRATORS BEING PROTECTED!!! Why was the Emir unwilling to assist until the pressure became a bit much? I mean I assure you if this happened in the name of Christianity the perpetrators would be in cuffs and paraded on TV by now. So I ask again if this has nothing to do with religion why the impunity?

I even learned that a similar thing happened before in Bida.

For those saying she ran away with a boyfriend or was enticed by money, the parents are to blame etc etc. I really pity your future. This is a 13 year old girl that comes from a humble background, so if she liked someone who had means (assuming that was even the case) how does that give the person the right to kidnap her AT 13 and convert her to another religion!!!? Are you people mad! Who didn't have a crush at 13? What's the big deal about having a crush? Did you kidnap the person because you could?

Besides if you guys had even bothered to read the story you'll see she was clearly under some influence.

Chai chai chai. The lack of empathy, stupidity and more in this country son tire me. Especially amongst those of us in the south.

For the good of all that girl must be returned and the perps MUST be reprimanded. What nonsense
