I think that's mainly for easy identification in case it gets loose. Just write the name of your guarantor on it & use stapler to crucify it well where necessary

The weight/size might be an issue for some, You can't hide it away in some back pocket.

Gets hot during fast charging from around 35%. Cools down from 70% upwards. Don't know whether it's our supplied current or inbuilt.

WiFi/hotspot can be selective with some laptops, might be a band wavelength difference though.

And finally, not a phone for someone trying to quit phone addiction, The battery will make you backslide everytime

Apart from all mentioned issues, it works perfectly.

It was already listed for sale before I came across this thread. I might end up following the footsteps of the OP.

I don't understand. Battery or IC unit? I've abandoned phones & laptops for durations of time & the battery will always go bad. Is it possible that the screen problem & defective IC unit resulted as a result of the current supplied that day you plugged it in? Something like that has been mentioned in the main umidigi group. If that's not the case and it was a defective unit, still dumping the phone without charging would have spoilt the battery. So try someone else to confirm whether you have just 2 problems or 3. Or just sell it for scraps. The screen will get a buyer eventually.
Hope you don't see me as a fan. Used 2 umidigi phones & still plan to buy, but see this A7series, won't buy it for anything or advise others to. Too many complaints

But within that 4 days I received a call for 17minutes, screen time was 12-15mins and battery percent was at 88% the last time I checked. It would have taken more than a week for that phone to run to 1% by my estimates.
