Judging from the money, resources and hundreds of space launches it will take to have a small habitat on the moon, I say it is still a long time away.

Nah,Like I'll always say, any recent hyped tech released to the public is an obsolete one in the real technological world. They are like 30-40years ahead. DARPA comes to mind.
Go over your reply to me & see if isn't what I would ordinarily hear from a space-X/Nasa official on social media schooling the normal ignorant audience with herd mentality.
Nothing I won't find on mainstream official accounts already. See your position?

For instantaneous transportation of humans/objects from one point to the other on this planet & within our solar system,
To create artificial earthquakes & use weather as a weapon,

To even mimick the second coming of Christ to fool the Christians (there's even a warning in the Bible) et.c

Hmmm,I see the freethinkers & those who quote from facts stated by fallible humans like them. Well, I don't think the earth is flat, a part of it might be due to a glancing blow from a meteorite eons ago.
There are strong claims to that on the net but until I see am with my own eyes,I'll take it with a Congo of salt. I guess that's where the flat earth theories come from. As for NASA,believe them at your own peril. If we could put man on the moon then,why be sending satellites now when we have more superior tech? Think of that.
By now,colonies should be on the moon,exploiting its resources, vacations to the moon should be possible but they are sending probes? Doesn't add up.
By the way,always consider the fact that whoever controls what you see,read or hear can pull facts out of their ass & it would become law because they are acclaimed credible institutions. Most humans will never get on a rocket to see for themselves anyway , so always maintain an openmind for possibilities

You can lose it in a month, See most people go about it the easy way. They mostly avoid the difficult exercises. Cardio,planks,squats,rope skipping and a little heavy weight lifting works wonders. Don't worry, you won't grow muscles. Knew someone that lost 20kg out 100+kg in a month that way. But you need a no nonsense trainer with a truckload of motivation. Goodluck
