Dynamite02: You calm down and listen to what he's saying .......he is not saying that people should not vote and campaign for the guy, there is threat of sabotage, that is the danger he's bringing to our notice ... if every governor start campaigning for each candidate from their respective states, how FAIR will the game be then? Must everything in this country be tribal and political? So it cannot happen that a governor, senator or celebrity be a fan of any contestant without attaching any sentiment to it? Must everything be done with the mind of "my personal person"? Sabotage Listen to yourself. Who is sabotaging what? Read what he wrote and then your lame attempt at defense. Nice try at the bolded, appeal to people's emotions while castigating another. |

I have problem with men who father children they are not ready to take care of.
Report his sorry ass to a child welfare office close to you. If he has the means to take care of the baby, he'll be forced to pay for the child's maintenance and it will cost you nothing!
It is obvious you don't know about this. Ask around, please, that child does not have to suffer because of your ignorance. |

harakiri: The "low opinions" are not far fetched. They emanate from repeatedly occurrences/experiences/observations both in our lives and those of others (Personally, i learn more from the mistakes of others). I am not saying "all" ladies are like that but MOST definitely are. If you have a different opinion, that's great and i respect that and I'll assume you are one of the few lucky ones that's fortunate to have that special woman that's devoid of all the negative traits mentioned earlier (i am yet to see ONE woman that is different though except in movies, cartoons and novels). I am a woman, and of course, not biased! When you (i.e. most people here) talk about women in a general derogatory way, it is impolite. It shows lack of respect. |

Now where is that list to review and get myself ready for what is next - bungeejumping I relate to this, and it is a big deal!!! |

oludashmi: You have come to complain cos he is not you biological brother. The better you start start handling him like your biological brother, the better for you Call him and talk to him with smiles now and then, then he will change Start seeing him and treating him the way you would to your own bro not a stranger or an in-law
As for thinking to move to naija, it shows you were not matured for marriage and not keen for a lasting marriage in the first place When you get married, your husband's people become your people and his enemies should become your enemies. Many of you go into marriage due to age and other reasons, not for the maturity and responsibilities expected of you I am going through the same thing, although my brother-in-law is not rude(he wouldn't dare). He does not clean after himself, leaves his unwashed plates in the sink, does nothing to help out of his own volition. It is not very easy to deal with issues of this sensitive nature. My brothers can't even try that, the way I'd call them to order will make them change their minds about coming to my house. But then, I can't do that with my In-laws! There goes your argument of "handling him like your biological brother''. Goodnews is, I'm ready to be patient and ignore his attitude (it is not easy though), but he wont stay with us forever |

ileobatojo: Ose o! If a man asks me to bring all my money so he can take it on a gambling trip must I submit?
That’s why I will always encourage single women to make marrying a person with sound judgment that you can trust and respect a priority! It’s just as important as all the other common reasons for getting married, ‘I love him’, 'he’s a good man’, 'I’m getting old’ etc. Many women end up with men they are more mature than and that they are better decision makers than! That is it!!! |
Family › Re: What Does It Mean To Be A Submissive Wife. by skirmish: 5:55pm On Feb 27, 2012 |
Personally, I believe submission is relative. How do you subject yourself to a person whose judgement is not sound? How do you trust him to make decisions in the interest of the family, when more often than not, the reverse has been the case? What do you do when he insists, give in so that you are labelled "submissive"?
To me, marriage is a partnership, the wife complements the husband! |

tolex29: It's just demon possession, simple! And pity this family and some people may think I have a disorder too with what I just said, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood. It's sad that we are too educated and far too civilised to see that there are forces beyond us that daily manipulate our lives and toss us here and there, anyways, they make us busy with science, medicine and technology neglecting the creator of all things, JESUS! It's just a matter of being humble (or what the world calls foolish) enough to believe that He exists and has the power, in case you are reading this and you don't have a relationship with JESUS yet, give it a shot today. You will see beyond your eyes, The creator of all things is God and He has a name, Jehovah(read your Bible - Psalms 83:18). Jesus is the son of God! |
