Kurukuru: Yes, good statement do work, but what I want people to understand is that due to the power of attorney given to these VOs, they exhibit arbitrary tendencies in most cases. Once the VO cast doubt on your motive, no amount of strong SOP will dissuade him/her from refusing the application. For the fact that somebody applied for SOWP before the spouse arrived in Canada and got approved does not mean you would be lucky like that person. Vos is different. The bottom line is that you should not give the VO any reason to doubt your bonafide. Let me give you a senerio imagine someone got his visa in march and used spouse and kids as strong ties now in may one of the kids was flown abroad for a very sensitive surgery and the mum and the kid came back in june and the spouse with the visa applies based on that when the spouse is leaving or maybe a spouse got visa and before travelling discovered the wife was pregnant and the wife is a type that requires bed rest do you expect such spouse not to apply before he or she leaves. Different people with different senerio i believes it depends on how much the emotional sense appeals to the VO and also God factor. I have seen someone that applied when he entered canada and they still got denied and i have also see a friend that applied immediately he got visa and sent the sin and study permit via webform when he entered canada and the application got approved despite using the family as home ties |

Including the properties we have and source of income too but the SOA im providing is my in-laws own as the main sponsor.. don’t know if this will actually make sense to them. I dont seem to understand you. Please explain better |

Also, reading through your profile now I can see where you made mention the consequences attached to PTA, I’m planning to apply on Monday. But you said someone must come back on the day of his/her return ticket…..if not CBN is claimed it as fraud… Can you pls emphasize on that pls. For emphasis you must return ur your scheduled return date becos they will only give a grace of few days thats what they do. And after that they start annoucing that you are fraud and you know the world is a global village. This womt be good for your image even in canada so please reason the matter well |

Filanodivine: Hello house, a quick advice here please. I am using my in-law as sponsor with his company’s account but im also going to show some properties owned by my late father controlled by me and the family currently. Is it advisable to have this and still use your in-law as sponsor or should I say my in-law is my major sponsor and my family too with showing only the in-law statement of account?? Do I need to show two SOA to convince the officer For sponsorship it is always adviseable you use your nuclear family that is ur parents or siblings. Now in a case of using ur inlaw then the person must show commitment to affirm he will sponsor you truely. He can actually do any of the following things 1. Either pay ur 1st year tuition to your institution in Canada or 2. Send your living expenses of 10k cad or 11k cad for one year depending on the province cos if it is quebec you will be staying then it is 11k cad to your account and you indicate the transaction in your sop with bank transfer details attached. Aside these ur inlaw must also show more than the amount of ur studies money in his account becos the visa officer will want to be sure that he wont run bankrupt after sending you to school that is he shud have enough money to also proof he or she can carter for their family needs. Also you need to add a sponsorship letter from that your inlaw. Another thing too is it will be nice if you can show proof of help he has done for you financially in the past like payment of fees before or things like that. Finally on that note i will advise you stick to only one sponsor and probably ur self becos having too many sponsors might show a sign of financial weakness to the VO and make the chances slimer for the visa to be approved. N.B SOP is the one you need but the LOE is needed for explaining VOs concerns and how u have tackled then when an initial application was denied. So you dont need two SOP. Just my perspective |

Nikky6: Hey Guys ! So in my letter of introduction my medical validity will expire before traveling, If I do another medicals do I need to upload through webform to be updated on the portal , and if uploaded on the portal , will I be issued another letter of introduction or I should just take the medical slip and show at POE ? You need to book for another medical asap. In fact you can take your visa there in person to plead with them to give you a date it will most probably be within a week, then u do not need to raise webform again the hospital will send it to IRCC. Just take the evidence of the new medical along with you. At the POE it might be requested from you to be sure you have done another one so keep it close to you. Congrats may the land of canada favor you. Which province are you going to? |

technix: That's why I said 'extremely' strong statement.
If she made a strong statement about her family staying back, I would advise she gets to Canada first before applying for them.
I can't remember vividly where I read the case of someone whose SOWP was rejected because the application was done immediately after the student arrived Canada. The VO claimed that the student's LOE stated the family is staying back or something.
I am not saying this would always be the case. It might be easier to justify the change of plans, such as already missing family, etc., if the SOWP application is done after arriving Canada. It depends on the situation that surrounds the applicant after the visa was issued and this will determine whether the applicant can put up a good statement or not. |

BeejayB: Sorry … since when is SOP not needed for visa application. Isn’t that the important document to explain your plans and goals to the VO since there’s no interview for Canada study visa.. I think its really needed. Sop is what a fresh applicant write. for someone that is reapplying the sop is already there just to add Letter of explanation (loe) to tackle visa officers concerns raised in the first application. |

Ak30: Hi Foxs my husband application was submitted on 8th February 2021. Is more than a year now. There is no update so he did medical in December and was uploaded as pass. My question is when did they reply your webform, what did you wrote in the webform. We sent a webform to Kenya office but no reply is more than 2 months now.
Thanks
It is adviceable when you send webform you also back up whatever you sent through email to nairobi so that if paradventure they fail to acknowledge the webform they will acknowledge the mail. As for your application i will advise u contact the MP in your school area or the area where you live in Canada so that they can help you follow up. Then keep sending emails to nairobi for expideted action on your application telling them that it has passed the normal processing times which is 36weeks. They might respond better, i said might becos with IRCC nothing is sure. Its only God that will save us from their clutches |

nochyks87: To add to what jogojogo has said when applying for your spouse did your by chance submit any nigerian job or claim to get a study leave from your work place in nigeria? If yes they might want to see that. If no then submit the pay slips of your part time job in canada. But sincerely something must have trigered or waranted that request so think well and be careful in responding. It will end in praise
Just went through my documents i submitted in 2019, I attached a study leave letter with pay from my office in Nigeria. Does this mean I have to source for pay slips and include them? This quite confusing. Spoke with some people this morning and they advised that this request letter is specifically for spouses already on PGWP. If thats is it then mail IRCC with your study permit and recent transcript stating that you and still in school and not eligible for post graduate work permit yet and your studies will be rounding up in may. I just home you still get paid from nigeria because i have a strong feeling that is what they are requesting for because from the records with them they should know you are still in school. But when they requested documents last month it was study permit and recent transcript |

amr12: My wife applied for SOWP and visiting visa for the kids in october which is still pending. They recently applied for visiting visa and was refused which led to my son's vv under her sowp being withdrawn.
Now we would like to reapply for him. He will be 5 by may so we don't know whether to opt for study visa or reapply for visiting visa. 1 already reached out to the school district in my province and got LOA for him.
Should we reapply for a vv under her sowp or a study visa Which province are you going if it is quebec he needs to be 5years before you can apply for study permit. If it is other provinces apart from quebec once he is 4 year he can apply for study permit. I hope that answers your question. Use the parents LOA for him for the study permit application it will be accepted |

For canadian account they dont have my bank statement, you can use screen shot too convert to pdf and submit but it would have been more preferable if ur spouse downloaded are statement of account from her banking app and send it. As to the amount i didnt get ur question on that. |

wealthnet: Is it possible to relocate to Canada as a student without IELTS. Is it possible to become a permanent resident after education period. Is it also possible to get visa to Canada without agent. Is there any standard format to be as a self guide for the process. Is there any strategies to fast track the visa approval. How easy to get first job and accommodation. These are some of bothering questions related to relocation to Canada begging for answer, please let someone share experience to answer these questions for better understanding. I understand your point of view you want to be fully aware of what you are up against before you start but sometimes you might not get the opportunity of seeing the very end from the start, and what works for mr A might not be applicable to Mr B. Haven said that i will try and shed some lights on some of your questions. Moving to canada without ielts is possible as most schools dont require it for admission because you are from an English speaking country the worst case senerio is getting a proficiency of english language letter from your institution and so far you dont want to apply for visa through the nigerian student express route. It is possible to get PR after studies depending on the length of your program as that determines the length of your Post graduate work permit which subsequently in one way or the other determines you ability to get PR You can apply for visa on your own without the help of an agent I did mine on my own and with the help of this trend too. Most people have been defrauded by the so call agent of darkness so do it yourself. it saves u alot of stress of even getting banned after not responding to procedural fairness letter when issued one due to lack of coherence in the submitted documents. The standard guidiance i will suggest is to join the canada study permit visa forum on nairaland and read the trend from the begining you will gain a lot. To fast track your application the nigerian student express is a way, doing upfront medical before you submit the application as well as using My bank statement method those could help facilite a quick response from IRCC. Although nothing is sure with them either. The last question getting a job as a student is difficult and not difficult depends on your type of job and also on the kind of network of friends and colleagues you have. If you keep friends and mingle well you will get informed on which job is available both on campus and off campus per time. I got my first job 5days after i entered canada as a kitchen attendant in a restaurant despite the fact that i was a lecturer back then in nigeria, i put that in my pocket and faced my new phase of life. So it depends on your type of job and ideologies. On accomodation, this also depends on information as well as how fat your purse is. My perspective. It will end in praises soon |

Akeredoluekun2: Good evening house, please I need some clarifications, I am applying for SOWP and Study permit for my 7 year old daughter. But while filling the study permit for my minor I notice, I have to produce the name of a DLI and also a LOA without them the form wouldn’t be validated. My questions:- 1. How do I complete the form without a LOA? 2. Should I just apply for a VV (All other types) for her instead of the study permit? Please I need your advice
Thank you for your anticipation response You spouse is studying right? If thats the case use his LOA for your daughter it will fly thats the normal proceedure. Apply for study permit that will kind of help fast tract the whole visa application process becos study permit is more important and more time conciousness is placed on it by IRCC than SOWP or VV. This could further be hastened up with upfront medicals as well as full covid 19 vaccination. And since shes 7years already the best thing to aplly for is study permit. My perspective |

Jeffi7: Good afternoon all.
1. Is it advisable to book one way ticket flight to Canada as finances is tight for now or two way ticket, does it have any implications ?
2. Can one apply for PTA with a one way ticket when traveling ?
3. Which airlines is advisable to fly with to Canada that is good and the ticket price is moderate?
4. What is the best way to book flights? Through agent, website or app ?
Thanks As for PTA jogojogo has said it all. PTA is applied for directly online through the CBN created online platform. You need a to and fro booked ticket and you can use that to request 14days to you flight. The only thing is you must come back on your claimed day of arrival becos if you dont they will find out give u few days in case of delayed flight or cancelled flight by the airline not by you before they start to label you publicly on all social media platform as a fraud. That wont go well with yoir stay in Canada too so most people stay clear of the PTA if they wont come back. As for the flight someone that I know used Lufthansa, although expensive but will save u lots of documentation request stress. My perspective. |
