FamilyRe: Can One Divorce His Wife And Still Go To Heaven by skydeexie(m): 10:45am On Mar 24, 2011
Are you married? Do you want to divorce you own wife? Well, think twice if you're planning to.
You should also ask yourself, what of wives that abandon their own husbands?

Malachi 2:13-16

13 Here is another thing you do. You cover the Lord’s altar with tears, weeping and groaning because he pays no attention to your offerings and doesn’t accept them with pleasure. 14 You cry out, “Why doesn’t the Lord accept my worship?” I’ll tell you why! Because the Lord witnessed the vows you and your wife made when you were young. But you have been unfaithful to her, though she remained your faithful partner, the wife of your marriage vows.

15 Didn’t the Lord make you one with your wife? In body and spirit you are his. And what does he want? Godly children from your union. So guard your heart; remain loyal to the wife of your youth. 16 “For I hate divorce!” says the Lord, the God of Israel. “To divorce your wife is to overwhelm her with cruelty,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. “So guard your heart; do not be unfaithful to your wife.”
PoliticsEye Witness Account-failed Jos Bomb Blasts As Genocide Of Christians Continues by skydeexie(op): 11:41am On Mar 23, 2011
March 2011, Failed Bomb blasts in Jos Nigeria as Genocide of Christians continues.

On Sunday, the 20th of March 2011, between 9 and 10am, a bomb blasted in the hands of two Muslim youths.

The youths who were riding on a motor cycle around Nasarawa Gwom were said to be riding towards the Church of Christ in Nigeria (COCIN) Nasarawa Gwom with the intention of detonating their bomb on the church but the bomb went off earlier than set time. Stefanos Foundation arrived at the area and saw the bombers and their motor cycle burnt beyond recognition. The impact from the detonated bomb also affected a nearby shop.

Stefanos Foundation met one Moses Samuel on admission at Jos University Hospital (JUTH). Moses was the only surviving victim, injured by the detonated bomb. According to Moses Samuel, who left the church on his way home, he arrived at the scene and saw the two men on their motor cycle. Moses said he noticed someone leaving to call a soldier and just before he could find out the problem, the blast happened. According to him, all he remembers was that he saw the two men on the ground, as he was being helped to the hospital.

According to one Fonshak Cishak who was around a photographic studio across watching the men, he noticed them drop a huge bag - and its suspicious contents. Fonshak went to get a military man to interrogate them but just before he got away, the blast occurred. At about the same time another Muslim motor cycle rider was also sighted around ECWA Church Angwan Rukuba under similar suspicious circumstances. Stefanos Foundation found the man’s body burning at the scene of the incident. It was said that passers bye stumped on him and set him ablaze. Stefanos Foundation arrived at an overcrowded situation around Nasarawa Gwom Junction where some anxious ethnic people were reacting against the incident. They were demonstrating in the presence of the Chairman and men of the Joint Task Force who had arrived to assess the situation.

The Ethnic Plateau Youths, in their protest were chanting Christian songs in Hausa. One of which says “We will not stop following Jesus”. The youths in this part of the town are always being molested by their Muslim neighbours. They now see their area as a death zone as many have either been injured or killed here by Muslims. While at Jos University Hospital (JUTH) Stefanos Foundation discovered 3 Christians had earlier on been killed that morning at Duala Junction; a woman and two men. Six other Christians were also stabbed with knives. They are presently receiving treatment in the hospital.

In a separate development, the Police CID Division reported that they dislodged a bomb set on Mountain On Fire Church around UTC Motors. Investigations are still on. The police are positive on information leading to the arrest of the planners. It would be recalled that the Hausa-Fulani Muslim Elders Forum of Jos held a meeting on the 28th of December 2010 in Bauchi and published their resolutions in the Nations Newspaper of 30th Dec. 2010 saying “Muslims in the State shall ensure that a few months before the general elections, Jihad will be declared in the State which cannot be controlled even by security agencies, with great slaughter and massacre, which the Federal Government will have no option than to declare a State of Emergency in Plateau”.

At dawn Monday the 21st March 2011, residence of Faringada community also woke up to discover two dead bodies in their community. Sources identified the men as from the Ibo tribe, and efforts to find out how they were killed has not yielded much results, however as this was being contemplated, violence broke out at the nearby market. Stefanos Foundation gathered that some of the Christians who went to the market this morning to buy vegetables were attacked by Muslims at the market.

Monday the 21st March happened to be the day set aside by the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) Presidential campaign. Normally CPC campaigns are always characterized by Islamic violence and so residents of around Polo fields were alert. Report has it that stones from the field were thrown into (ECWA) Evangel Hospital, just behind the fence. There have been rumours that Muslims planned to attack the hospital. As the Muslim youths from CPC got out of control, Christians were alert to defend their areas. The environment became chaotic and military men came in to take control. Two Christians were followed into the ECWA Church Bishara 2 compound and were gunned down.

Do continue to pray for the Plateau Ethnic Christians as they continue to struggle in response to these attacks targeted on them. Despite all these threats, Christians in Jos, Nigeria are still determined to stand up for their faith. Many have been killed and yet many are ready to be martyred for their faith and their heritage.

For more information you can contact Stefanos foundation at stefanosfdn@yahoo.co.uk

God bless you.

This report gives a fresh insight into the unending religious killings in Jos, Plateau State and other states like Bauchi, Borno, Gombe and others.
It is clearer and better than the normal run-of-the-mill-reports and other slanted and bias news we get from the Police, Nigerian newspapers
and the international media on the true agenda of the "Jos Crisis".

NO! You MUST flee from SEXUAL IMMORALITY. It carries a penalty, remember?

About "Peeps" - Is this happiness anchored on God's plan and foundation for marriage, if so fine. If its based on some worldy
factors and ideas on happiness (such as money, education, good looks, health and materialism in general), it will surely
collapse like a pack of cards. People's behaviour one way or the other cannot change God's word, it only confirms it. After all we
are living in the age of God's unmerited favour and grace. He gives rain, sunshine, air that we breath and food to both righteous
and wicked people alike. It is purely God's grace if it happens and this is meant to bring us to true repentance.

@ 190, Sorry I had to quickly dash somewhere

190::
^^ Pastor i understand But what if we find ourselves wanting sex

i keep denying her what if she decides to get it elsewhere angry undecided
Then it is not God directing you. Sex takes place only in marriage. "The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity
and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy;
drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and
self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions
and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying
each other."
(Gal.5:19-26)

If she decides to get sex elsewhere then leave her immediately. She's not for you. Do you really want to have a stable marriage?

"Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;
you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies."
I Corinthians 6: 18-20

You must FLEE just as Joseph did from Potiphar's wife in Egypt.

@ 190
You have to honour God in your personal relationship with him and your future partner, follow God's plan for your life and marriage,
then you can make a success of it. Check carefully, most marriages fail becuase it was not built on God as the foundation. God created
sex and its a good thing. The proper place for sex is ONLY within the confines of marriage. Turning it upside down
is a SURE RECIPE FOR FAILURE. It's probable that the person in question in this 1st post did not start on the right foundation - GOD.

RomanceRe: Getting Married: A Blessing Or A Curse? by skydeexie(m): 1:59pm On Mar 22, 2011
Marriage is a BLESSING and not a Curse
There are different perspectives on Marriage today:
-  The traditional view, that holds the wife and children as properties of the husband
-  Marriage is no longer seen as a lifetime commitment that says 'till death do us part'.
-  Divorce is rampant today because of the "incompatibility" notion of the couples and other factors such as lack of offspring
-  Marriage is seen as a contract and not a Covenant
-  Marriage is no longer held in honour
Therefore we must recognize that:
1.  Marriage is God's idea and not that of Man - Genesis 2:18
2.  God's plan is for us to carry forth his will and produce Godly offspring from the union - Malachi 2:15
3.  God honours marriage - Christain marraige is a model of the relationship of Christ and the Church - Ephesians 5:21-33
4.  A marriage relationship spells true independence for the husband and wife - Genesis 2:24
5.  Marriage itself is a gift from God - some naturally do not have this gift - I Corinthians 7:7
6.  Children too are a gift from God - the marriage union can stll survive without children - Genesis 2:24; Psalm 127:3
7.  Not being a Christiqan can make our problems more complicated - (I don't mean going to Church or not on Sunday) - I Cor.2:14; Romans 8:9
8.  Remember God hates unfaithfulness to one's spouse and divorce - Malachi 2:16
9.  The first institution that God created was that of Marriage and the Home is the central place in God's plan for Salvation - Deuteronomy 6:6-9
10. Marriage is not solely for sex - remember, 90% of your happiness depends on the choice of your life partner for marriage - Proverbs 18:22
11. Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised - Proverbs 31:30
12. Remember, God does not judge by our own standards - Isaiah 55:8-9
13. Marriage depends on God and not us, His purpose for our lives is to prosper us and for us to remain pure - Psalm 119:9, 11; Jeremiah 29:11
14. This world is a preparatory ground for Heaven. Heaven is our goal - Matthew 6:33-34
15. We are created in God's image to serve him and to take care of his creation - Genesis 1:26-28

To build a successful Christian Home or Marriage we MUST follow God's plan.

"Glossy 'Jihad Cosmo' combines beauty tips with suicide bombing advice,"
By Daily Mail Reporter - Last updated at 11:32 AM on 13th March 2011

Al-Qaeda has launched a women's magazine that mixes beauty and fashion tips with advice on suicide bombings.
Dubbed 'Jihad Cosmo', the glossy magazine's front cover features the barrel of a sub-machine gun next to a picture
of a woman in a veil.

There are exclusive interviews with martyrs' wives, who praise their husbands' decisions to die in suicide attacks.
The slick, 31-page Al-Shamikha magazine - meaning The Majestic Woman - has advice for singletons on 'marrying a mujahideen'.

Readers are told it is their duty to raise children to be mujahideen ready for jihad.

And the 'beauty column' instructs women to stay indoors with their faces covered to keep a 'clear complexion'.

They should 'not go out except when necessary' and wear a niqab for 'rewards by complying with the command of Allah Almighty'.

A woman called Umm Muhanad hails her husband for his bravery after his suicide bombing in Afghanistan.

And another article urges readers to give their lives for the Islamist cause.

It advises: 'From martyrdom, the believer will gain security, safety and happiness.'

More traditional content for a women's magazine includes features on the merits of honey facemasks, etiquette, first aid and why readers
should avoid 'towelling too forcibly'.
A trailer for the next issue promises tips on skin care - and how to wage electronic jihad.

The first issue's editorial explains that the magazine's goal is to educate women and involve them in the war against the enemies of Islam.

It says: Because women constitute half of the population - and one might even say that they are the population since they give birth to
the next generation - the enemies of Islam are bent on preventing the Muslim woman from knowing the truth about her religion and her
role, since they know all too well what would happen if women entered the field of jihad. 'The nation of Islam needs women who know
the truth about their religion and about the battle and its dimensions and know what is expected of them.'

The publication is being distributed online by the same Al-Qaeda media wing behind Inspire, a similarly slick magazine that encourages
young Muslims in the West to commit terrorist atrocities.

James Brandon at anti-extremism think tank Quilliam, said: 'Al-Qaeda see how effective magazines are at pushing the ideals of
western culture and want to try the same thing. 'As a result they have come up with a jihadist's version of Cosmopolitan magazine.'

On the issue of unpaid royalties and mixing it with religion - gentlemen of the assembly we've come this far and cannot afford

because without him we cannot do anything.

Technology is here to serve us. Any bank that is fully computerised should not waste more than 10 minutes attending to a customer.
Semi computerised banks at least 15-20minutes. If you add "Nigerian factor" then 30 - 40mins should be expected if not more.
A forward looking bank should have more staff attending to more customers to reduce this time delay.

Do you remember that bank advert where a customer brought a mat inside the bank to sleep while waiting to be attended to?
Sorry to say that some banks are still like that inspite of their so-called full computerisation, ATM and internet banking. It's a shame!

@ Omokemesi & Nsiman, thanks for the update and line of reasoning. Winning and securing the payment was the uppermost thing.
However, I have no means of verifying this piece of information I got this afternoon from one of the State offices to the effect that some
patentees actually paid directly to some of the state coordinators, they in turn failed to remit the monies and registration docs to the head office
in Lagos. This now informs the one week marching orders they were given to send all records of transactions and list of patentees b4 15th March.
Otherwise why the emphasis on "Genuine patentees", it means there are aslo "fake" patentees waiting to cash in on the "booty".

The Liberation news also said our dear King Uwemedimoh is dealing only with State Managers and not State Coordinators. I smell trouble and confusion
for those who did not follow through the right channels.

COMANDCLEM PATENTEES MUST READ THIS REPORT IN THEIR OWN INTEREST AND INFORM OTHERS ! All Comandclem Managers throughout the Federation have been directed to forward records of their registered patentees to the Company's Head Office in Lagos. According to a notice published in the latest edition of "THE LIBERATION", the company Management gave all the managers up till 15th March, 2011, to do so. The managers were also directed to forward duplicate receipts and payment stubs, among other documents, to Comandclem Head Office situated at No. 4, Ogudu Road, Ojota Lagos. The Management went on: "They are also to forward their accounts records and other records of transactions.
"Genuine patentees should ensure that their names are on the list. "Any manager who fails to submit the names of people registered in their states will pay those people by themselves.
"The papers, documents and records must reach the office on or before March 15th 2011. "The Management has set up panel to reconcile patentees files and ascertain payments, and screen patentees in readiness for further action." from OMOKEMESI
@ Omokemesi - One would have thought that a complete database of all the patentees should be firmly secured by now. What excuse would the
State Coordinators give for not making this all important compilation before this time. Well, never rule out the "Nigerian factor" in our way and manner of doing things.
Should they mess up some of these docs, where will they get the money to pay the patentees? Pls we've come a long way to miss the boat of comandclem goodies. We should be able to reap from our hard earned investment - no body should mess us up. Why can't we use technology to our advantage, computers, internet etc.

Let the Bible speak
Hebrews 10:24-25  (NIV, ©2011)

"24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,
25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but
encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."

You asked a very simple question but failed to provide the answer.
The question should have read, "Is it necessary for Christians to meet together?"
Did the early Church in the Acts of the Apostles use to meet together or not? Whether they met in a house or in a 'church' is beside the
point here. The important thing is that Christians should meet regularly in view of the above scripture (Heb.10:25)

In context, Yes, a Christian need to attend 'Church'

It's time to sheath your swords and forgive one another Nairalanders. Now here is the conclusion of the whole matter!

Ecclesiastes 12:11-14 (KJV)

"11  The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd.

12   And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.

13   Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

14   For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil."
