REALITY101: This isn't about bashing my homies. Seriously guys yall need to make it a sure thing wearing at-least deodorant especially before leaving Africa/Nigeria. I believe if you can afford a plane ticket from Nigeria to the U.S, business class - - > LA you can equally afford at-least AXE. This dude with a huge tribal mark nearly sent me to coma with his smelly underarm. The dude punished me with his stinky from Atlanta -LA. . I had to give my seat away to this navy guy "in his mind I was showing him respect and support for serving the country" angry embarassed

Now I'm thinking about donating deodorant to all the international airports in Nigeria. undecided grin

I wonder how Naija girls cope with such oozing, oops they must have been used to it by now. According to 2011 research Nigerian ladies smells good than the guys.

AjanleKoko: What a testimony. undecided
In other words . . . go out and get your own third class degree today!
Only in Nigeria jare.
Not only in Nigeria. people with third class are getting jobs abroad.Thats why there is always a stage called interview. Some companies asked for 2.1 too but most never care about your degree. You will have to go through phone interview, assessment test and interview with HR to evaluate you.
Romance › Re: I Hate Stingy Guys, ladies Can U Continue Opening Your Legs To A Stingy Guy? by Skywalker5(m): 6:43pm On Jun 13, 2012
Luv Mercy: Some guys if you allow them, they are ready to Bleep a girl for 24hrs everyday and they call it love, when they can't even give a girl money either in 2wks or weekly.i hate stingy guys that use girls.they make girls to have negative mind and might conclude to have sex for cash instead of love.
why would you be asking for money? don't you have yours? or is sex not a 2 way thing?

cuteonyii: Any one married to a foreigner? can you please share your experiences including the challenges, how to cope and your advices to other people who may want to.
Challenges would be families and ignorant people. also different culture plays a part especially if either of you thinks they are right culturally or morally? Most Nigerian were raised under strict rules of dont do this, it bad while other were raise with freedom to try this and learn from thier mistakes.

justwise: I don't think the solicitor will make it any shorter, the HomeOffice had problem with their computer system since Feb, the whole system was down, they could not print visa or accept any new interview appointment.

They started interviewing people who are already booked last month, that was why you could not see any available date.

They are still clearing up the backlog, i know many people who waited for 5 months before getting their visas.
Right. I guess i will wait till july to see if any open slot are available. Thanks for the update.

apologies. i misread your post.
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by Skywalker5(m): 2:52pm On Jun 13, 2012
justwise: You don't need a solicitor at all, just select premium service instead of postal when you are completing the form, then pay the premium fee, as long as you meet all the requirements then you got nothing to worry about.
I just tried it. No empty slots at all. i was told those solicitors buy up all the available slots and they charge clients for it.i have all the requirement but i dont know how long it will take before they return my document as i plan to travel.a friend of mine who has applied is still waiting and its 6 weeks already.

ayox2003: So other qualifications matter when applying to foreign schools? I guess you're in IT, right?
Yea i am in IT. I am not sure 100% , i knew i did 3 certification in Nigeria before i applied.and some school accepted my application. My advise would be to try. most people told me it was not possible when i applied. to be honest.i was applying for fun before i starting seeing positive results. There is no harm in trying. If anyone can get additional qualifications, that's better as i think it help.

queensmith: of course it's a tribal thing, what other reason would a man bankrupt himself so his mother can parade about the gaff? its absolutely a tribal thing!
Well, i have seen other people from other tribes too do the same. they are even married to Nigerians themselves and all they think about is building house in village and back in Nigeria. i have seen how they dont take care of their kids also and how they work almost 24 hrs and 7 days a week. Trust me, these people are not Yoruba. They hardly see their kids and they kids hangs around the block or stay at home on their own because their parents are out hustling. No flat screen TV, no internet just one old desktop computer.Kids look scruffy to school.feed on what left in the fridge. Just because she decided to say her story about one man does not mean you should generalize it.

So you think its a tribal thing?

AjanleKoko: How were you able to do a masters with 3rd class in the UK? That NIIT diploma wouldn't subsist.
I applied to different schools online. most turned me down but some did not.when they asked me for my qualifications, i sent all of them. I remembered i had a school in Canada Saskatchewan or so.They accepted me also but their process was too much stress for me. I did all my applications online back then. i think now, people use agencies or so but i am not sure. this was 2009. There are good schools which are not too bothered about the class of degree you have but your zeal.i remembered writing an email to the school that i would even prefer to do B.sc if they wont accept me for masters but they did. Besides getting a job here in UK is not about degree. its about experience and how you can prove you are good for the job.

usetime: let's harp on this 3rd c thing again.
like its a guitar we should play. lets strumm its strings some more.

i don't know why universities have this 3rd rate system.
it's utterly detestable.
you can't do master's with it.
can't get a job with it

get lots of stigma with it
need to improve it.

but does anybody just wake up and go thru 4 / 5 years of school
always knowing right from year 2 that theirmaking 3rd c grades??

well in my case not so.

infact--- i believe the feedback system of schools are so poor
that some people got the poor grade by suprise.

on the other hand, if there's a grade lower than fail some body will
aspire for it. paradox - right.

but if you got it bad , third class , pass.

did you know you'd always be bagging it. no lie here.
Wrong. Did masters with mine. Got my dream job with mine.

"his money was his and my money was ours" is a very typical Nigerian mans mindset.
really. who are you deceiving online?

durobraham: @ desirel

That is why so many Nigerian women make financial demands from their significant others .
is that not typical?

kadarva: I am telling the truth here!!! I pay all the bills apart from his mobile!! Allah is my witness!!! I work 30 hours a week and I work a. Lot from home aswell ( cash in hand jobs).

We are married for 8 years now and I love my husband deeply but things aren't changing and i cannot live with that. Not worth the stress for me.

@ nigerian ladies what would u accept that kind of behaviour?
I dont understand how you get to pay all the bills and yet you work part time. You mean you pay house rent which is a minimum of 2 bedroom flat, council tax, gas and electric from your part-time work.you buy food stuffs also and clothes for the kids from your part-time work? Dont get me wrong. your husband might be sending money home a lot but dont paint him like an asshole.i am sure he still contributes but i feel you just worried he sends a substantial amount back to his family.

I really hate websites designed mainly for Nigerians and you see Non-Nigerian images scattered all over the front page. Is that to say we are not photogenic or what? i have see how the entertainment industry in Nigerian has grown and lots of good quality pictures are taken. Is it that most websites developers cant afford good quality cameras or they feel putting non-blacks on a nigerian website will sell more? Some even take pictures with low quality cameras and use high quality colours for background.
I just viewed the poster website and its obvious he took those pictures online from somewhere, tried enlarging the picture more than its usual size.I see most websites like this. The pictures are not blending well with the background colour. its does not speak well if you cant use images that relates with Nigeria on websites.
