In Abia State University (ABSU), according to him, staffing is utterly dismal as a result of conscious government policy not to attract or retain the appropriate staff in number and quality, adding that for a student population of about 30, 000, the university has only 63 professors out of whom only 32 are permanent members of staff. This is absolutely correct! You need to see my English grammar and philosophy professors, they suck! otokx:Big shame! |
This is absolute madness. . The federal government has no power over state universities and it's exclusively the functions of the south east governors to finance their state universities.so why would they let other universities/students suffer what did not concern them ?
This is to attract the much needed publicity to the strike. I've been at home for about three months. This is solidarity at it's best. I hope they resolve this soon. God bless ASUU! |

Inkie reminds me of an old school-mate who's now in UNEC, Enugu State, a student of nursing. They kinda have the same attitude and all that. She's also in the same age-bracket with Inkie, just like myself. She taught me what love is and how to love. We had things in common: the same philosophy of life, the same ravenous taste for/in novels, the same complexion, the same . . .jeez! We even look alike! Her admission came a year before mine, so we lost physical contact. Those days remain my most emotionally depressing. Well, we started seeing again but we both know something significant is missing. Sometimes(even now) she'd travel to Aba from Enugu to see me secretly and go back, refusing to see her family. She still calls me, obviously to ignite the dead fire. But no, the fire is dead, I think. . . . |
*clears throat* Um, Inkie and Kay, this ain't the Dating And Meet-up Zone, ok? |

“the DPO has been a source of embarrassment to us. He has been sexually harassing our female officers here and nobody questions him because he boasts he is well connected within the state and outside.”These are the type that support numerous criminal activities in the state. I guess he must be the D.P.O in charge of the station at Hospital Road, silly man. Ah! where is my old Aba? This man would have been beaten to death instantly. Well, his judgement is still waiting for him somewhere, someday. And for such an incredibly wicked act, it breaks my heart to see the customary "names withheld". Isn't it time this journalese is dropped? |
What more can I say? |
If she travelled to study I'd wait till she comes back, shouldn't be more than four years. But to be really faithful, I'd have to donate my penicx to a museum. |
If Chris Okotie can contest, why can't Kalu? But I'd rather vote for Chris Okotie than Orji Kalu, the guy is a big disgrace. |

Seun:I wish it would work the same way for me. I always be myself, but that seems to worsen the matter. @all, I'm grateful. I've picked up some auspicious suggestions. I hope they work for me! |
^^Shut up for once, Haba! |
We are the cause of our woes, our house is not in order. |
My theory is that Mr. Mercenary is also behind the importation of the bombs for the Abuja blast and is Henry Okah's accomplice. They should get him over to SA for questioning. |
Yeah, yeah, |
I don't care if he wants to remain unmarried, I will be annoyed if he goes about spoiling our girls. So what am I saying? He should donate his penix to charity or to the nearest museum. |
chyz:I fail to see the link between this evil act and the 'true revolution' we need. Would you have given them a pat on the back if they'd killed the governor? This is as wicked as the Abuja bomb blast. |

But I just dnt get how ppl do it esp when dealing with a nigerian man, guess it all boils down to trust. I rem ezeuche, but what has he stolen? ola olabiy:Hmm. I sincerely feel flattered at having my 'name' in the same sentence with the word 'professional', and on a positive note, too. Let me state that I'm still far from being a professional, I'm only hoping to be one. If I'm even imagined a professional, what then does one think of Jarus? I'm merely an ambitious undergraduate of English and Literature, aspiring to graduate well and possibly become an 'overgraduate' as soon as possible! Now, English language, as you rightly pointed out, is about Parts of Speech. How can our English be flawless when we are not even aware of the components of what we speak and write? I don't mean to counter your opinion but it won't be a bad idea if you throw a little light on the Parts of Speech( when you have the time). You never know how many prospective 'F9s' and 'D7s' in English language you're converting to 'As ' and 'Bs'. Best wishes. |
Most guys and babes often find themselves in this situation; getting attention from people we have little or no affection for. It can be fun, it can also be annoying. I was previously passive about having many female friends till word went round that I was banging them, which isn't true. I resolved to be on my own but it's proving impossible. How do I make them lose interest? |
Enemies of GEJ are unknowingly campaigning for him. |
The military has come to restore order and some people won't shut up. If an ex-governor can be blamed for causing trouble in a state, it is my opinion that the current governor has no business in the Government House. |
The problem we have here is that we are too impatient. How many days did it take before the US with the almighty CIA find 9/11 bombers? Better to find the right bombers than to rush things.
Well said. And it's not like a robbery incident where you even get the chance of seeing the culprit. What do people take crime investigation for? Posting on Nairaland? Haba! |
