Go tell that all those people who saw him "drinking kunu with Turai, playing tennis, walking with his grand children, and even joining prayer services with some 'men of God". A probe will unearth the extent people could go to decieve and cover up. Which palm wine joint are you representing? |

sinistyle: @ slap1 why are we shouting eureka about this? Johnathan is simply puting the right machineries in place to actualize his 2011 aspirations. Iwu is going to be replaced with a Jonathan loyalist. Out of the blues, ICPC charges PDP's National Chairman, Vincent Ogbulafor of fraud. The hitherto dead ICPC found now to be the most convenient time to hunt Ogbulafor after he recently reiterated the party's plan to adhere to its zoning system. This would mean that PDP would present a northern candidate for 2011 and puts an end to Jo's 2011 aspirations. A letter of invitation dated March 27, 2010 was said to have been dispatched to Ibori, 5 hours after he had been declared wanted on April 13, 4 days before he was requested to appear before the EFCC and a court injunction was granted for the two parties to maintain status quo. Johnathan is resorting to the witch hunting tactics of those before him. He is playing do or die politics, politics of vendetta and acrimony. Replacing Iwu wont bring about the desired electoral reform. What about the Uwais reccomendation? Good observation. |

sinistyle: Good move but Jonathan should know that witch hunting Ibori, who is purpoted to be the leader of the Yardua caucus has just portrayed him to be a proponent of 'do or die politics'. Johnathan is no different from his predecessors. Neglecting due process and the rule of law to achieve an end is simply not acceptable! Could you throw more light on this, please. |

The first news I heard was kidnappers has kidnapped one Nkwubuego, a steel magnet. The same tin in ABSU, all the banks in Okigwe are closed down right now as robbers attacked ALL (about 7) of them unopposed, using DYNAMITE on GTB's safe! The ATMs in the school are now helpless and some students now travel to Umuahia to use the ATM! In the school, Baggers and co are freely shooting their way about the school. The whole state is turning on its head. |

I don't think that, as generally believed, Wole Soyinka was the first African Nobel winner in literature. Albert Camus, an Algerian, got his in 1957! I think it's in this order, after Camus (I stand to be righted), Wole Soyinka (1986), Naguib Mafouz (Egypt - 1988), Nadine Gordimer (SA - 1991), J.M Coetzee (SA - 2003). |
Literature › Re: Why Nigerian Writers Beat Kenyans: The Makmende Revelation by slap1(m): 11:17pm On Apr 27, 2010 |
In Africa, only Nigeria and South Africa have produced Nobel Laureates in Literature — Wole Soyinka and Nadine Gordimer. Wrong! J.M. Coetzee has one(he is South African, though), Naguib Mafouz, an Egyptian writer, has one, too. |
