Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Is Guinness Nigeria Plc Downsizing? by slavemerchant: 1:01pm On Apr 17, 2016 |
jorghor: This is the closest to what is happening. it is not a buhari administration thing as GNplc has been on a steady decline. in the last 5 years, the sales directors have changed about 3 times, still no improvement. Profit was only recorded in the spirit segment and orijin. The rest na loss. The Nigeria of 2day want value for money and would drink The cost saving brands like Trophy, Hero, Life, Goldberg or eagle. NB switched tactics when trophy started selling astronimically and bought Goldberg as Star also has not been doing well. GNplc also tried with dubic but the growth was not sustained. Satz is also doing well but wit the introduction of Eagle, it is also declining. Even if the FX was readily available, it won't save GN (abi no b d same country NB and international breweries dey operate?). Overpriced products and pride is what has taken GN to its present position.
Like I said, no be everything b Daura-affected. You are absolutely right, go to most bars and you will see that the beer of choice are the cheap brands such as satz,Goldberg, trophy, hero and others, consumers of beers are price-sensitive as all they want from a beer is to get high, the taste does not really matter. Guiness nigeria will continue to make losses as long as they not review the pricesof their products |

Generalyemi: as of 2008,Ifeanyi ubah said that his account in Nigeria bank is only 15 percent of his net worth in his offshore ACCTS.. so FG pls don't waste your time on Easterners that are billions..they have learnt there lessons after the civil war...if Nigeria is for sale,7 Igbo men can buy her So how do you know the price tag on nigeria |

tankara1010: I warned about this to SE people....they will make sure that Billion worth of Sport Complex in SE doesn't happen. They are out to cut this Igbo man to size as the largest oil distributor in Nigeria...they have been plotting this! THERE YOU HAVE IT!
A lot of Nigerians are oblivious of the systematic marginalization of SE and SS. There is a reason why Onitsha, Calabar, Port Harcourt and Warri ports are not in operation or fully functional as Lagos ports despite SE and SS/energy companies accounting for nearly 70% of all imports. There is a reason why Enugu, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Asaba Airports are not as functional as Lagos, Abuja and Kano despite SE and SS accounting for nearly 75% of all international travels. Something is not right if you have conscience and ability to reason! You need to read that article all over again and stop being over sentimental |

dimsonu: I honestly don't know much about this Monarch nor politics in Nigeria.
But there is this lingering thing of interest to note him, he is glaringly non partisan yet a highly politically influential character. I just hope I am right.
He got class, swag and an abounding grace around him...these are qualities he share with many other Monarchs. This rare character of being non partisan (if he is partisan, it isn't obvious) is a glorious and admirable quality.
Really this will increase the trust he can generate from amongst his subjects and even the entire country. This is exactly what Monarchs and Transition heads in Nigeria should represent. Not reducing yourself to campaigning for politicians. Seriously their offices are political but beyond that they were divinely appointed. They should (as Ooni seem to show) become a fulcrum, a rallying point between politicians. If Rivers State has a solid non partisan Monarch for example he would without doubt be able to call waring parties to order.
Let traditional rulers Nationwide learn from this young Patriarch.
(Am writing these presuming he is non partisan... I might be grossly wrong) Of course you are |

Webmasters › Re: Why Facebook, google, youtube Are Not Paying Taxes In Nigeria? by slavemerchant: 8:19am On Mar 05, 2016 |
Kaykaymil: They have company in Nigeria but the rule is you only pay tax where your company is head quartered, so if they have a headquarter in London they are bound by English laws. That is why to avoid tax most big corporate organization choose their headquaters in countris with low tax rate. Similarly If u register a company here in Nigeria and same company in Uk and choose Nigeria as your quarter base of operations you are not bound to pay tax in UK. Please stop feeding people with wrong information, there are a lot of companies here in nigeria with their headquarters abroad and yet they are taxed here in the country, once a foreign company has a physical presence in a country then it is subject to tax by the laws of the land of its host |
