PoliticsRe: Zobo And Kunu Vs Champagne And Wine By Alex Otti by SleekAboki: 6:54am On Mar 29, 2016
As I flipped through, I came by a write up about how Champagnes, wines and other choice imported drinks were no longer served at the Villa under the new President, Muhammadu Buhari. In their place, the paper explained that, the villa now parades our locally made Zobo and Kunu drinks. I thought that made a great statement. The first was that in line with the change agenda, Aso Rock had to lead by example by outlawing the very expensive and imported drinks from the President’s bar.
Mr Buhari is an extremist Islamic and sunnah jihadists hence the ban on all alcoholics in Aso Rock. This is purely faith based and not about baba Ijebu economic management.

MaziOmenuko:
To deceive Nigerians into doing what exactly? You guys act as if the economy was all flourishing before the change in administration.

Calm down and watch as the 'imaginary' money gets the economy reshaped for good.
You mind putting a time frame to when this imaginary money will reshape the economy? I want to visit the marketmen and women bearing the blunt of policy somersault of this administration and explain to them. They are the ones that paid for my data. I've been telling them to hold on since cos budget was yet to be passed.

U wish.
It will soon be December and I will remind u this govt is just hot air. TSA cash is imaginary and deliberately being misrepresented to deceive Nigerians.
You dey mind them? The government is clueless and throwing all manner of dangerous hope to give them something to look forward to. Naturally, Abacha returned loot, tsa money, acclaimed $300 billion so far recovered or returned from corruption war is more than enough to shoot the economy to best in Africa.

“The much awaited new foreign exchange policy should be released without further delay, as the existing huge gap between official and parallel market rates is not only fueling inflation but might be creating a cesspool of corrupt practices in the opaque foreign exchange allocation chain, which may not boost the image of the government.”
The amount of corruption committed in CBN under this regime is mind blowing! Under the change administration,Mrs aisha buhari became the largest single BDC in africa engaging in sizzling grand round tripping.

The image of this government is already gone to the dogs no need of boosting it. All we demand is the total fulfilment of all campaign promises. no more excuses since their budget of shame has been passed.

Is Mr Buhari beyond questioning or what? Is Buhari a masquerade?

Tribute to the Great man JAGABAN Borgu!

The Chief Architect of post-modern Democracy, He designed the masterplan that unite the sophistication and the simplicity, the morphology that gave birth to functional opposition.

The Avant garde of Renaissance Opposition politics, He led a rebirth of the opposition during the medieval period of the clueless one.
The Michaelangelo of our time who saw an angel encapsulated in a stone where others saw rocky stone.

The Picasso of our generation! He painted a Retd General to a born again democrat.

Merci JAGABAN, a slayer and a nemesis!
You came, you saw, you conquered!
Applauded, I'm coming to eat Picasso Amala and Gbegiri on jagaban birthday.

Fire15:
I bought petrol for 155 Naira this morning in Ibadan, this wouldn't have happened, if GEJ had, like Indonesia built a 400,000 capacity Refinery, when he ascended the mantle of Presidency. For just 4 billion dollars, that, he would have done. That's history for now.
Back to reality, the Minister mentioning that, the problem will abate by May, cause the petrol dealer visit havoc on Nigerians, through hoarding, with intent to profiteer. We are Nigerians, and we know ourselves, we like taking undue advantage of any situation. There are information, that are are supposed to be classified, the Minister would have done well, by saying the problem will be over soon, not putting a date to it. The competence of the Minister is not in doubt, even in US, where he was, before answering the clarion call, saying he is not a magician is politically incorrect.
Kachikwu is a technocrat, so he might not be aware of political incorrectness of such a statement, and the implication for the ruling APC. There comes Tinubu, the consummate politician, not waiting for the PDP to take it out his mouth, and gain some political capital. If you're seen rebuking your child in the open, those on the outside will appreciate the fact that, you don't condone nonsense.
Now the petrol dealers know that, we are at their mercy till May, we are really in for a hard time.
The Minister should be schooled in the art of knowing when to classify an information and making political correct speech without a tinge of arrogance.
Kachikwu only played smart so he won't be made the scapegoat in the end. Even the May date is likely untenable. If you know the true situation of the Nigerian economy as currently damaged by Buhari policy somersault, you would find means and leave that country or suffer till heaven knows when.

Really? A new messiah for Nigeria? Wow, I will work with anyone for a better Naija. I strongly believe that giving the people the basics of life will keep the restless, restful and the sleepless will have sleep. Our leaders need to know this. I believe It is because all the past ones came, saw and conquered without any backlash and so have those after them. With no price paid for their mistakes, the new ones assume their tenure would go smoothly too should they ignore the needs of their people and gather money into their private purses.
Let's save the drinking kunu with skull part. He who lives by the sword.......
There's no messiah outside of the suffering Nigerian masses. We all have a part to play. These politicians should never be idolized but seen exactly the way they are. Imagine Ameachi that loves strip clubs in Ghana and Dublin holding rivers state ransomhuhhuh

This is more nationalistic and well strongly worded. I agree with you. Lets dissolve all ethnic differences and join hands to confront the common enemy of our hopes and aspirations as a nation. I am ready to deploy all I have including the red-badge to see to a revolutionary success without any ethnic agenda or political bias. Bros, you do well.
As a student of Karl Marx and all doctors of revolution, It grieves my heart when politicians plunder our collective commonwealth and still come back and tell Us they steal cos people never stone them or they didn't sign cheques while the same people cheer. It's time to make them very afraid and deliver or face the consequences.

Nigeria no be their papa property. it belongs to every kid you see on the streets.

There are more tactful ways to pass such a message, there is no debating the fact that the buck stops at Kachikwu's table, and he is responsible for tackling the current scarcity.

You can't be slacking in your duties and be grandstanding at the same time. You will be shown the door.
I think kachikwu will gladly walk the door if Buhari shows the door.

You sit in the comfort of your bedroom typing on the computer to incite others to revolution. I was once a student union leader in lagos during the Babangida-Abacha era. We write and write in protest against harsh or wrong policies of government. If after all the written publications and no action on the part of government to address the issues we raised we immediately take to the streets to
enforce our demands. Those days wrongs were put right and errors were corrected.
These days what do you have. Writing and writing and no action till date on the part of our younger generation. Revolution will never come. The only option is to join hands together and build this nation. Jonathan came, he had good intentions but quickly abandoned it for his selfish purpose.
We have been patient enough with Nigeria. Buhari represented the last chance to reposition things but the country have witnessed more deaths under his watch in 10 months. We are coming on all politicians who have contributed to the mess of a country. Violent revolution is the only solution and we are coming in a way they won't expect. they should be very afraid. only a working system in Nigeria where the masses are enjoying atleast the basic things of life will halt us.

Nigeria is bigger than Buhari Pdp or Apc.

You're not making much sense here. How do these responsibilities change the fact that it is the NNPC's direct responsibility to import, refine, distribute and supply petroleum products which are currently scarce? Is Buhari the NNPC GMD or Kachikwu?

If he can't stand the heat, he should leave the damn kitchen.
All the noise from tinubu only came about cos kachikwu told the reality on ground that would take few months to correct cos he kachikwu had no magic wand? Tinubu intentions were not pure cos kachikwu refused to be the fall guy by coming clean and telling truth? sack him then and employ a rogue that can dance to the tunes of APC like the cbn.

This is by no means exhaustive.

- supervising all petroleum industry operations being carried out under licences and leases in the country in order to ensure compliance with the applicable laws and regulations in line with good oil producing practices.

• enforcing safety and environmental regulations and ensuring that those operations conform to national and international industry practices and standards.

• keeping and updating records on petroleum industry operations, particularly on matters relating to petroleum reserves, production and exports of crude oil, gas and condensate, licenses and leases as well as rendering regular reports on them to Government.

• advising Government and relevant Agencies on technical matters and policies which may have impact on the administration and control of petroleum.

• processing all applications for licenses so as to ensure compliance with laid-down guidelines before making recommendations to the Honourable Minister of Petroleum Resources.

• ensuring timely and adequate payments of all rents and royalties as at when due.

• Monitors Government Indigenisation policy to ensure that local content philosophy is achievable.
That buhari burdened himself with these responsibilities is laughable. did he think it's a walk in the park? with all these functions and responsibility, it follows that both kachikwu and Buhari should be fired.

There's no way kachikwu should be made a scapegoat without indicting buhari.

I have read all your post and observed they were completely anti-Buhari or anti-Tinubu or anti-north or anti-yoruba. Look, if you and your family don't want to belong to this country then why not migrate to cameroun or ghana. This country is in the midst of a major economic crisis and all you could contribute at all times are comments aimed at causing disaffections amongst our people. You keep insulting the leaders of other tribes but virtually every other tribe have stopped bothering making any insultive comments on your own. You and the party you have been defending detroyed this country for 16 years unbroken period. GEJ period was the worst and we pray never to see his types again in this country. Whether you like it or not PMB and his team will succeed. They will steer this nation out of her present economic quagmire. Its a matter of time.
I'm holding them accountable. If I elect to talk to them in the only language they responds best to it's your problem to deal with save, you are a beneficiary of corrupt practices. Those criminal politicians you have in that country should thank their stars that these are the best that can get to them at this point in time. They should be fearful and expect the ultimate doom which will be a violent revolution never witnessed in the history of mankind. The only thing that will save them is deliver dividends to the populace. I will personally drink kunu with the head of El Rufia and sanusi lamido sanusi a day after the revolution. Never again shall innocents pay for the acts and deeds of criminal politicians.
