Politics / Nigeria; The Way Forward, Drop Your Suggestions And Ideas Here by sleekdoc: 11:11pm On Dec 05, 2009
Well as for me I am extremely tired of hearing negative news about my country Nigeria. It seems all we do as Nigerians nowadays is complain, complain and complain some more about the government.
Let us make suggestions and/ or proffer solutions to common problems on here, spanning all the facets of our economy; agriculture, education, banking, oil and gas, government, health, aviation e.t.c. . .

That little knowledge you think you have may just be the answer we need. Experts are also welcome. Useful suggestions and ideas will be escalated to the appropriate authorities and contributor will be duly rewarded or may be even engaged

Romance / Re: I Was Shocked When A Crippled Man Asked Me Out by sleekdoc: 12:52am On May 31, 2009
@ Topic

cripple, handicapped real term i believe should be; physically challenged.

Its really a thing of the mind and your mentality . Spikedcylinder has already told us what kind of mentality she has anyway; a shallow one.

Spiked cylinder picture this; I hope you realize that many physically challeged people were not born that way!!!
What ur sayin in essence now is that 'God forbid' your so called hunk of a man boyfriend or husband gets involved in an accident and becomes physically challenged, automatically you would leave him shocked

You have a wicked streak i'm sorry to say and you obviuosly think that you are 'better' or 'too good' for a physically challeged person.
God help you.

Nairaland / General / Re: Women, What Is Your Priority? University Degrees Or Ur Dignity As A Woman by sleekdoc: 2:33pm On May 17, 2009
Get rich quick mentality, greed, materialism, low moral standards, lack of ambition and drive. . .
These are just some of the reasons why more and more girls are into aristo runs, whoever said they do it to get through school obviously doesnt know anything. They'r greedy and feel the need to "fit in" by buyin expensive clothing and all the other stuff that are clearly beyond their means, some of them even come from well to do homes, but stiill want more
It is not only university girls that are involved, women in the corporate world as well, lot of them even married!!
Afterall there are very beautiful young girls who still take up low paying but decent jobs in eatries or whatever jus to see them selves through school, those aristo girls are jus a filthy and greedy bunch, did you know that alot of them employ fetish means to get and hold the attention of some of their "clients"?
Career / Re: Corporate Nigeria Vs Corporate America: Share your experiences please by sleekdoc: 7:55pm On May 14, 2009

@ Ajanle

So 9.9 out of 10 they are fluff? Interesting! Is that out of an inability to perform or a realisation that they do not really need to do much to impress Nigerians? (except insightful folks like yourself of course wink)

If 9.9 (essentially all of them) were so bad, it must either be IMPOSSIBLE to work in Nigeria once you've gone abroad for a significant length of time, or only the 'fluffy' ones want to return.

There is implicit value add there - increased confidence in the quality of basic education and competence of the individual as verified by an external body (the foreign university) that is considered reliable. Unless you are suggesting that there should be a dichotomy or discrimination in terms of job exposure or responsibility simply because a person schooled abroad, then I don't see the point of this statement of yours.

Any blanket condemnation of foreign or home-based Nigerians is reductionist and overly simplistic. I'm surprised someone like you would foster such a line of reasoning.

@ OP

There is a place for your skills - as long as you bring true experience and ability, along with a willingness to understand the Nigerian environment thoroughly. If you do those two things, you will be successful.

very very correct guy!

Why wld any be jealous, i'm sure there are people on this forum that make 10 times what he does without having to be lousy on tv, lol. He's an entertainer so let him entertain us anyhow he's inspired to. Like i said before, its the girls we are talkin about.

I am sure there are ladies out there that know of the love I am talking about.

Yes of course there are, but what is the percentage? And even the few that are that way face the ever present risk of losing that "innocence" and going " the way of the world" after a few heartbreaks, financial challenge in the midst of plenty, discontent, persistent prolific predators (players). . . the list is endless really. . . only a few stand the test of time, wether u agree or not, they really are very few

I think your views are really misguided. How old are you? You may be old, but your mind is a bit immature.

Again, I am asking you too, how secure are you in your relationship. Assuming you woman wants to go.

guy u berra wake up, dey there dey ask silly questions. Only certain kinds of girls will leave their house to go and stay for one funi show, with the hopes of winning money!I personally dont't know any women that can do this, they'r all sayin the same thing i'm saying now

sistawoman:

Again let me state clearly if a woman really loves a man with her all, she can not and will not cheat.

If a woman or a man is truly yours then no one, no one; I mean NO ONE can take them unless it be by force.

abegi go and sit down somewhere jor, how many girls are really that "normal" and decent nowadays, the few that can be that decent wld not even consider going for such a show in the first place.
Let me say this, any girl and i mean any girl that can have interest in going for such a show is unpredictable and can never be trusted, simple!
