In 1975 at the age of 33, you were appointed the Military Governor of the North- Eastern State, present day Borno & Yobe states. In 1976 at the age of 34 you became the Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources. In 1978 at the age of 36 you became the Chairman of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). Today the reverse is the case. Most Nigerians at age of 35 are still unemployed and still living with parents. Many are still not married. During your time you were already Governor at this age. One major reason for this unfortunate turn of events is that many elders like you have refused to voluntarily handover the baton to the next generation. Life should be a relay race where one runs his race and hands over to the next. In Nigeria many elders like you have run their races and are still holding on tenaciously to the baton. When are you going to handover to the next person? It is either you do it voluntarily or risk disgrace at the polls. In 1983 at the age of 41, . Most Nigerians in at that age have not had the opportunity to serve, but we still remain committed to the Nigerian project. You should rather be graceful to God and to Nigerians for the numerous opportunities that have come your way to serve Nigerians. Others are begging for just one opportunity to serve. Sir, you have to accept the stark reality on ground that you have served your time already. That is life for you. You are not bothering me. Try and take some time to read through the thread and you will get a lot of valuable information that will save you both time and money. Driving jobs are not that easy to come by primarily because it costs a lot to get the driving license and its all time consuming.

Now you are coming over with a visit visa, you will not be able to get the U.A.E driving license with a visit visa visa and who will be willing to employ a foreigner (who has no knowledge of the road networks) when he doesn't even have a license? Unless its RTA or other companies, such jobs are hard to come by (this is me being brutally honest). So, try not to put all your eggs in one basket and be open to other kinds of jobs. Good luck.

Pls what's ur advice, I really need to leave naija because am no longer comfotable here, and I don't want to come and be stranded over there. I lost my mum and dad at the same day last year august, I just want to leave to were I can make a leaving for my jr sis!

Cleaners earn low pay just like other menial jobs in Dubai. You end up hustling with Filipinos most times. Some earn as low as 900 Dhs and most earn less than 2,000 Dhs.

What a country and our President will keep making empty promises on Security issue.

In 2011 he make so many promises On Security, which is the primary purpose of governance, the promises were not only unfulfilled, the situation got worse.
Mr. President promised that if anyone caught breaching the
public peace to face the full wrath of the law. He promised to make sure that no part of the country is allowed to be a
sanctuary for criminals anymore, yet Sambisa is a den of
terrorists. He promised to confront headlong ethno-religious violence in the country, pursue all bombers and bring a complete end to insurgency. However, as I write insurgency is still thriving in the Northeast with territories being taken, students being maimed, abducted and citizens displaced in their own country. The notorious Shekau has cheated death several times despite claims to have been killed by security operatives and oh, he even addresses the nation more than the President! To even make matters worse, a close ally of the President threatened fire and brimstone should the President go ahead with the groundbreaking takeoff of a proposed gas project in Ugborodo. Consequently, the President had to cancel the ceremony with the excuse of allowing warring factions settle. The failure of the security operatives to arrest and prosecute the individual further embodied him to abduct journalists, torture them mercilessly before releasing them for having the effrontery to cover the events happening in Ugborodo. Yet, nothing has been done to punish the said individual and kidnapping have become a day-to-day occurrence where so many lives has been wasted and now innocent couples are been killed just to show how insecure Nigeria is.
