Wife of the President, Mrs. Aisha
Muhammadu Buhari, said yesterday that she
personally still prepares her husband’s food,
their recent relocation to the Presidential
Villa notwithstanding.

















Official cooks mainly prepared the food of
previous first families at the State House.















Mid way into a Sallah party she held
yesterday at the seat of power for children,
Mrs.Buhari sought her guests’ permission to
leave to go and cook for President
Muhammadu Buhari.


















She said: “I’m going to leave you soon. I
want to go back home to cook for my
husband. Because my children are here
playing with you, so nobody is at home, only
my husband. So I want to go back home to
be with him and also cook dinner for him.”























She urged them to continue to pray for
other Nigerian children who are currently at
Internally Displaced Persons (IDP)’ camps in
parts of the North.

















She also asked them to be good
ambassadors of their parents at all times.
















She said: “The future of this great country
lies in your hands. You are to complement
the efforts of government by working very
hard in school and be obedient to your
parents.













“Tomorrow, you may be the President,
President’s wife, senators, honourable
members, governors, medical doctors,
teachers, journalists, engineers, nurses,
lawyers and the rest of our honourable
professions.”















The wife of the President asked parents to
encourage and monitor their children.











While loud speakers rendered various songs
to the delight of the children, giant screens
were also mounted showing cartoons.













The children, who were given packed meals
and drinks, also took part in fashion parade
and dancing competition.

Presidential Villa, Buhari said:

Buhari spoke
yesterday just as twin explosions occurred at the Phase 1 Eid prayer ground in Damaturu, Yobe State when two female
suicide bombers detonated bombs killing at least nine people. Also on Thursday, over 50 persons were killed in another bomb
explosion in Gombe State.















Speaking further
at the Sallah homage, Buhari expressed gratitude to the Muslim community in the FCT for fulfilling the tradition of Sallah greetings for the occupant of the position of
President. The President also thanked them
for their loyalty to the country, as
represented by institutions and the
established system. He congratulated them
for the privilege to “come and meet me and
shake hands and also take picture with me.”
















He added: “Please convey my thanks and
happy Sallah to all your families and relatives
and I congratulate you for the privilege you
have which is only you residents of the FCT
that have the privilege to come and meet me
and shake hands with me and take picture
with me, other Nigerians are envious of you
if you don’t know it.” Present at the homage
yesterday include Vice President Yemi
Osinbajo, the Director General of Directorate
of State Security, DSS, Lawal Daura; National
Security Adviser, NSA, Mohammed Babagana
Mongono and Senator Phillip Aduda.

Curtis Jackson, better known as rapper 50 Cent, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Monday.













“In court papers filed in the US Bankruptcy Court in Hartford, Conn., Mr. Jackson reported assets and debts each in the range of $10 million to $50 million,” The Wall Street Journal reports.













The filing comes just three days after the “Get Rich or Die Tryin'” rapper was ordered to pay $5 million to his rival Rick Ross’ ex- girlfriend, Lastonia Leviston, who sued him for posting a sex tape online to millions of viewers in an attempt to embarrass Ross.
