PoliticsRe: Buhari, Donald Trump To Attend Emeka Offor’s Father's Burial by slurryeye: 11:02pm On Nov 13, 2016
People see this as joke, but I slurryeye don't see it as joke. It's a very serious thing. These people represent about 1/7 of Nigeria population. I don't think calling them names or making mockery of their grandiose claims will help anymore. They seriously need our assistance and support in overcoming their psychological issues

Hence, I urge Nairalanders to tell any ipob found to be making delusional illogical claims sorry or tell him that God will heal him

During TRUMP era as president it will be every man for himself.he has already said he will pull out of nato, pull out US troops frm south korea.i think less powerful countries right now will be thinking of aquiring nuclear weapons to serve as a deterent against powerful ambitious nations.
That's not a good sign. Though America interfere too much in other countries affair, at least they help maintain peace in the world. But in a situation where countries are advised to get nuclear weapons, one of the tyrannical leaders will get power drunk someday and nuke an enemy

Not only does Southwest has Cocoa as cash crop, we also have Oil palm, Kolanut, Rubber etc. It is high time we channelled our energy into cash crops that we used to develop our region before 1966

Your point no 6 is all shades of wrong,
he didnt say he was gonna cancel nafta, he was going to renegotiate.

Also, american forces were in iraq already until obama withdrew the forces around 2011, he wants to fully confront Isis but i think sending troops to Iraq is not the answer, more like air raid.

American has always been a long time ally of Isreal aand have supported them against Palestine.

Russia and Usa are long standing allies , their tensed relations of late has to do with Cremia and syria, and America cant afford to be at logger heads with russia due to their enormous Nuclear strenght, so its only logical for Trump to strengthen the ties between both countries.
He said he will re-nogotiate Nafta, but if Canada and Mexico don't do what he wants, he will pull out

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/trump-renews-threat-to-leave-nafta-in-speech-on-economy/article31324788/

On Iraq, america has no business invading Iraq in the first place, it was a terrible mistake by Bush. Trump blaming Obama for pulling out troops and creating ISIS is the lamest point ever. After ousting Saddam Hussein and transitioning Iraq to a democratic government, america cannot legally have troops in Iraq unless Iraqi government gives them the go ahead. And if trump thinks he can have air raid in Iraq without any reason, he will make things worse than Bush did. Simple truth, he can't end ISIS

As regards Israel and Palestine, though America is a strong ally to Israel, as a matter of fact recently pledge $38B for 10 years in arms to Israel, past American presidents always advise Israel and Palestine to maintain peace. But with Trump as president, Israeli government believes is time to wipe Palestine off the surface of earth
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/11/09/israeli-minister-donald-trumps-win-means-the-palestinians-will-n/

Lastly on Russia, though Russia and America are allies, however they have been in loggerhead in recent time due to where they both stand on some issues. Russia basically support a dictator and war criminal Assad, and Illegal invade Ukraine. The whole world is looking up to united nations and America to have a dialogue with Putin. But with Trump as president who's fond of Putin (more like Putin's puppet), Russia will do whatever it likes and however it likes it. Do you know what that implies, any country could invade any other country they feel like. China invading Taiwan, North Korea invading South Korea, Iran invading Iraq etc.

World politics is looking very gloomy my friend unless Trump does entirely different things to what he campaigned about

He's not part of the 'establishent' of policy makers, political power brokers cutting across the globe representing American interests/foreign policies.

Agreed he appealed to the sensibilities of white Americans /natives and identified with them but he didn't break any law cos they felt assured he consider them to be of importance in the scheme of an achieving better lives / America.

The man is a Machiavellian, he did what he had to do to win cos he understands the game better than some gave him credit and got needed support to achieve his aim.

The dude is smart.
Did you just say white americans are native?
PoliticsRe: The Sad News Of Trump’s Triumph, By Reuben Abati by slurryeye:

No matter what people says about him he demolished the whole establishment to achieve what no other politician has done before and got a home run against all odds and helped the Republicans to win both house of reps and the senate.

Anyone who still thinks Trump isn't intelligent needs to have his/her head examined.
He didn't demolish any establishment because he has been part of the establishment for a very long time. What made Trump won was getting to the sensitive side of white americans especially the uneducated rednecks and hillbillies. He came out to preach white supremacy and taking back america from the hands of immigrants and non-white. A typical white american especially the non-college educated can't wrap their heads round a black man with middle name Hussein being their president for 8 years. They wanted someone that will assure them that they still matter and america is still a white men country, Trump understand that message and he ran with it. With demography of about 70% white people of the total population spreading across the country, he knew that the message he needed to pass was tell them white race is supreme and other races are piece of sh.it.
If you understand this American election, you will realized that Trump didn't win the popular vote, as matter of fact he knew he didn't need the popular vote to win. He knew all what he needed is to beat Hillary with a big margin in the rural american states and get enough electoral votes to get him 270
That's why I giggled when I see Nigerians making sense out of Trump becoming president because dude gives no fuc.k about any other race except white

Now for Callous Nigerians that think

1) Trump will deport all Nigerians in America: Forget it, it can never happen unless such person is an illegal immigrant

2) Trump will end Islamic terrorist: In as much as I want this to happen, forget it, he won't end it. As a matter of fact, he is likely to make it more complicated if he makes a wrong step like George Bush

3) Trump will assist in their independence: Forget it, that dude gives no flying fuc.k about Africa or whatever happens to you

4) Trump says the truth: Actually, he never said any truth. He only said things that white americas especially the uneducated ones want to hear. infact, he consistently lied, and lied about his lies. The one Aspirant that said the Truth is Bernie Sanders

5) Trump is an outsider: Honestly, he is not an outsider. Though not a seasoned politician, but Trump has been visible in America politics since the time of Ronald Reagan either as a supporter, critic or sponsor

6) Trump will make america great again: Seriously, if Trump decided to do all what he said in his campaign like cancelling Nafta, invading Iraq, cancel nuclear deal with Iran, building wall on Mexico borders, closing borders to muslim, carrying out stop n frisk in major cities, support Israel again palestine, going after Nato, forming alliance with putin etc. not only is america going to be in a total mess when he is done, the world will shake in its foundation

CultureRe: The 5 Most Powerful Traditional Rulers In Nigeria by slurryeye: 9:56pm On Nov 10, 2016
Eastactivist:
Seun, on a disturbing note I think you should take down this thread with the fact that no traditional ruler is powerful in Nigeria but in some section of the country where his influence lies.

My reasons.
1. A traditional ruler suppose to be a ruler responsible to handle the affairs of a particular group of people (mainly ethnicity) bounded with the same tradition or cultural belief.

Now we have different traditions and cultures of different ethnicities in Nigeria and a traditional ruler of any ethnicity can not exercise his right outside his territory which he influences.

2. If we go by powerful with criteria of popularity and wealth, I think a traditional ruler cannot bypass his region and have influence in another region. He can only by being popular, by history and amount of wealth be the most powerful of that particular region.

An emir in kano cannot leave his state or region and dictate for a community in calabar no matter how highly placed and vice versa.
With this fact how then can you now tell a Nigerian who has no link or relationship or tradition or culture that so so person is the most powerful tradition ruler while the so called person has no influence on him or her except from his or her direct traditional ruler in his village ..

I there by reiterate that This thread is an insult to the collective intelligence of Nigerians, please how can you impose a ruler on a people without asking for their opinion? this is uncalled for and barbaric, this mistake can only achieve only one thing which is to add more ethnic tensions in our polity and cause avoidable ethnic psychological anomaly. I therefore call on you in your wisdom to use your office to do justice to this thread and justice for Nigerians.

Let us in our doings respect the diversity of Nigeria only then can we understand and cooperate better.
Why are you crying to Seun. No king is powerful beyond his region for your mind. Guess who the Chancellor of University of Nigeria Nsukka is? Ooni of Ife of course!
