I know of a certain young girl like that, always reading her books, very innocent and introverted young virgin, later on when I told her to lend me some of her books to read, lo and behold her gallery was filled with romance novels. 3months later, I noticed she has started practicing what she has been reading. You can not arrogantly claim to be the host of Yoruba in their land and enjoy the benefit of an entitled visitor in Lagos without a single reciprocity to the Yoruba you mock and insult daily. It is a recipe for serious resentment of Igbo in Lagos.

It is fair to adopt reciprocity as a Lagos state and Southwest policy so that all these bigotry and hatred you show for the Yoruba will reduce if not stop.

I have listened to a few vexed Yoruba and that is why some stayed away from voting for Asiwaju, they believed he traded off the reciprocity in order to advance his personal political interest so they are demanding that if LASG give certain privileges to Igbo in Lagos there should be commensurate privilege given to Yoruba in Igboland too. Until this is done, the Yoruba will not stop feeling cheated and the bigotry and hatred caused by lack of gratitude on the part of some Igbo will not stop.

The Yoruba can be a Commissioner in Igboland too. A Femi should be able to move around to campaign to be Abia state governor like Mr Chinedu in Lagos too and you do not need to kill a fellow Igbo for celebrating the victory of a non-Igbo in Igboland. Nobody does that to Igbo in Yorubaland. So reciprocity is a fair and just demand.

For 8 years, Mr El Rufai has kept Yoruba in his cabinet and extended free govt services to non Hausa.Such a state is qualified for reciprocity in Lagos not states hostile to Yoruba and in fact, hate the Yoruba. Only in Igbo states do we not have other tribes in their states exco,ministries etc. It is not a balanced relationship and I see reason in the complaint of the Yoruba who feel cheated.

It is not sustainable. Since democracy returned in 1999, Lagos has given a lot yet not even a single state in Igboland has ever appointed a Yoruba into their exco. It has to stop and reciprocity will stop it. Even property acquisition, especially a finite resource like land, should henceforth be scrutinized and rationed to demand reciprocity from the states of origin of the Igbo resident applicant or so everyone will know their place and justice served.

Yoruba should not cheat Igbo and Igbo should not cheat Yoruba. Enough of this politics of lies, hate and bigotry every 4 years.

You guys are really not being honest with yourselves, your tribe remains the least nomadic in nature in terms of migrating from their geographical region to another, yet you want various appointments far away from home thereby neglecting reality on ground.

The South East for example is about 98% Igbo dominated zone, there haven't been anytime in history the zone was closed for non-indigenes not to come in and flourish, but people stayed away, because there are literally no federal agencies nor institutions nor any lucrative federal project situated in the zone due to marginalization, thereby limiting the zone from virtually attracting non-indigenes. Yet, you want the zone to call Femi all the way from Osogbo or Ogbomosho etc to come and take up appointment as commissioners, things doesn't work that way "you can only get drown when you present yourself to a river" But you all can continue living in denial...

My tribe are industrous people, after the civil war, they lost most of their properties, they literary started from the bottom, left South East zone for greener pastures, today most of them are successful traders and entrepreneurs. Suddenly, tongues started wagging all because they are buying properties in Lagos and are fully involved in electing who becomes the governor, their only crime was that they made a choice which is against the hosting community.

In Lagos, the Yorubas will always have the population to elect any leader why the fuss?? nobody is even dragging it with them, but some members of the hosting community seems unnecessarily intimidated due to inferiority complex and inconsequential hatred passed from parents to offsprings, some Igbos living in some areas of Lagos are treated with disdain but they have chested and endured (the few times I was in Lagos I experienced it first hand), there was never a time they would pick up weapons to fight the hosting communities like the constant clashes between the Yorubas and Hausa's, even after their means of livelihood are burnt down, they still move on as if nothing happened.

Don't you think it's high time the Yorubas tackle the government to grant the Igbos their wish of Biafra so that they can leave your land once and for all? Afterall, their presence is no longer needed so why holding them captive by depriving them of their rights to vote. I only blame those falling for that scam phrase "One Nigeria" when in all honesty and reality, we are never one, and can never be one due to the nature of deep-rooted tribalistic mindsets in most people...!!

Any SAN defending APC for the fraudulent event that happened on the 25th of February 2023 should be dragging comedy shows with the likes of AY, Basketmouth, Seyi Law etc

I love the content of the letter. I have never and will never give up on patriotic Nigerians of Igbo extraction. These are the ones who cherish the love and warm embrace of their Yoruba hosts.


It is no brainer that once Sanwo Olu wins by only the collective votes of the majority Yoruba, the Yorubav hawks will have more basis to push for policies that will drastically take away their privileges here that the Yoruba in Igboland do not enjoy. It is like insisting that every employment or privilege an Igbo brother or sister gets in Lagos will now be on the basis of exchange of same offer available to a Lagosian in the state of the beneficiary.

You appoint a commissioner from Abia, Abia state hires one Lagosian as a commissioner too. I think this is a fair way to help get opportunities for Yoruba in Igboland too.

If Lagos gives 50 slots of free education to Anambra indigenes, Anambra must do same to the Yoruba in Anambra too. When these pro rata exchanges happen, there will be value placed on the huge privileges Lagos gives out to our Igbo brothers and sisters for which it receives hate and bigotry in return.

Lagos must attract talents and help them grow by demanding that the states of origin of these beneficiaries give Lagos something in return to help her own indigenes in return in those states too. It becomes balanced. If you do not help Lagosians in your states, Lagos govt can use such arrangement to push them to start helping Lagosians in those states too.

What we have currently is not balanced at all and that was why some Igbo went far with the politics of lies, hate and bigotry. It is now time of reciprocity exchange of favours and privileges.

Well, I guess that would be a very welcome Development because I have so many plots of land to sell around South East and I really do hope the Yorubas can come and patronize, because the few ones we have here are only interested in their agbo business and nothing more...!!
