How about removing all import restrictions and raising taxation of such imported commodities?? Although this will bring about an increment in prices of goods and services, the tax burden will be shifted to the consumers leading to fall in demand...

Now, This will enable citizens to patronize our domestic companies products with lower prices which in turn encourages both demand and imports amongs the rich and the poor leading to more foreign investors and more available money for the government...
