That letter cannot suffice. SmallerB you have to pester them for the letter of introduction. If by Monday it still hasn't reflected in your MyCic account, send them a screenshot of what it looks like, so they have proof.

Pester them please, that letter is very important.

Hi guys, please this was the response i got after mailing kenya and lagos about my letter of introduction that they have refused to send. They sent this today, evening time sha and i checked my page and its not there

For those that are currently facing this or in future will encounter this simply send a CSE to Kenya, Nairobi Immigration office and you will receive the introduction letter updated on your MyCIC Account within 24 hours.

I HAVE BEEN APPROVED OF MY VISA, BUT I AM YET TO RECEIVE AN INTRODUCTION LETTER ON MYCIC ACCOUNT

Below is a drafted sample mail by me that you can send to the Kenya Immigration office;

Hello Respected Sir/Ma,

I hope this mail meets you well. My name is XXXXXXXX , I am a successful Canadian study visa applicant. I write to inform you that my application was approved on DD/MM/YYYY and my visa has also been appended on my passport. However, I haven't received an official introduction letter from your office which I am submit to the immigration officer at the point of entry into Canada and that troubles me a lot as my course intake is drawing near, and my flight has already been booked for DD/MM/YYYY.

Kindly assist me with this issue and expedite the processing of my introduction letter. I do not want to miss classes and the orientation week as that would make it difficult for me to adjust later, putting into account the difficulty of settling down in a new country as an international student.

I am looking to getting your immediate and positive response.

The subject of the mail should bear URGENT, along side the applicant's FULL NAME, UCI NUMBER, APPLICATION NUMBER AND DATE OF BIRTH.

When this happened to me, I called the vfs center and they were able to give me an update. You can also send a mail or raise a webform about this.

Please has anyone experienced this issue where applications is showing approved and passport request but no letter of introduction?

Same here and that makes it like the 3rd person with this same issue. Submitted mine 6th

Thanks, i called the customer care for lagos and the girl told ne its at the embassy(she sounded really rude so the conversation was somehow) she now said waiting time is 15days and i need it like next week. Its been 7working days already. Although when i dropped it the person told me 10days

You can call the customer care line to ask about your passport tho.

Same here, the direct flight i first reserved would have a layover of 24hr+ at another province before moving to my province of destination. So its almost impossible to wait that long. They should consider when one books a flight to different province so as to board another one to his destination just to safe time. I pray them!

i once saw something on this thread about a guy who was sent back to nigeria because he boarded a flight to another province while his school was in another province, i suggest you go to the province where your school is located

Medical request July 5(funny thing is my first application was refused after 15days also)
Medicals done July 18
Medicals passed August 2( i had to call Qlife cause it was passed the 10 working days. They told me they had sent it, thats when the true worry started ehn i started questioning my health since i had a surgery in june lol. So i sent a web form on august 1st and the next day i got medicals passed)

Admission letter: university of Saskatchewan going for PGD food science, i have an undergraduate degree in microbiology and 4.78cgpa i couldn't get a supervisor sadly. But i spoke to the program coordinator and he said if i have good grades and get a supervisor after the first semester i could switch to Msc so i am hoping(crossed fingers)i graduated uni at 19 so i mentioned how young and all i still am so a career switch blah blah lol i am surprised. I made mention of the courses i did as an undegrad that are related to food science(like food microbiology, organic chem, bio chem and industrial micro) i also mentioned that my undergraduate course was slightly deficient so i couldn't get into masters which is true in a way.
My mum is my main sponsor, statement of account of 9m and 7m TB said to be dedicated to my studies
Submitted my dad's will with funds and land property dedicated to i and my siblings. It also had court order.
Submitted my transcript and thats all. And above all i added my God to the equation lol.


My first application was refused based on ties to Canada and purpose of visit. I ordered GMCS note and it didnt mention anything about my study plan being vague or anything. VO's main point is that i wont return to Nigeria. I was really sad when the refusal came, i cried sef then ran to niaraland and read all the responses lol. My first application had all the documents i believe it was even perfect but yet it was refused. My second application i didn't even notorise sponsors letter or anything, didn't even submit birth certificate or any extra thing. Its only God that's all. I'm so thankful for everyone that posts here i have always been silent but I'm grateful to everyone here
