Same reason some people bang their heads on the wall every morning when they wake up. The justice system is already corrupt. How can a corrupt judge fine another corrupt judge guilty of corruption?

He was declared wanted for months. He turned himself in after a while and it was in the news. There was no news of his release and those of his accomplices. That was why I asked. It depends on the gravity of the offence, in Nigeria people spend many weeks in jail without trial.

You're wrong. Arrests take you to jail, sentencing takes you to prison. Prison and jail are different but are often used interchangeably by people. I never mentioned prison in my post, I talked about jail which everyone read about here on nairaland on Burna issue.
