Watch. Through Olisa Metuh, PDP will soon come to criticize Buhari’s New Year message. They may complain that a comma or fullstop is missing in the statement. |
What are you talking about comparing Nairaland to countries like South Africa? Shouldnt you be comparing the site to other African websites? |
petkruz:That's a mean comment to use on another woman. May be it would be easy to compare her to you if you weren't hiding your face in your dp. Pretty girls don't cover their faces and ain't ashamed of letting people see what they look like. |
FriendChoice:What does this statement mean? Is Biafra comprised of Hausas or Yorubas? Please explain the difference between Igbo and Biafra. |
franciskaine:Niger Delta militants would hate to know that cashew is more relevant than their 'oyel'. |
5starmilitant:You must be Yoruba. We are the only tribe that call people's name three times and ask them how many times we called them, assuming they're deaf or can't count. Lol |
I see another trick unfolding. In the past, US was one of the biggest buyers of Nigeria's crude oil, if not the biggest customer. Today, US produces about three times more oil than Nigeria does per day. This is the same country that maintained its oil reserve for several years, buying from other countries instead. Beyond expectations, US suddenly became an oil exporting country. Afterwards, oil prices became less than half of what it used to be. The idea is to make certain countries desperate. Desperate countries often take desperate measures. Desperate countries fall for traps like this easily. I wouldn't be surprised if oil prices get reduced to $2 per barrel by the end of next year if other oil producing countries fall for this. This is no favor. Everyone needs a second thought before dining with a witch. No country needs anything from Nigeria without strategically thinking out multiple folds of what translates to her own benefits. I hope Kachikwu doesn't end up acting like a desperate salesman on this deal. ~Mugu |
abbey621:I think the goat will end up eating the tiger. ~Mugu |
Emperortj93:I no hate anybody o. Which one of them don dash me anything? Bitterness no dey my dictionary. I be gentleman. |
richtubor:I guess things are done on monthly basis in Nigeria. All you need in the US is a 2 week notice. Most comeanies pay bi-weekly or weekly. I know a few folks that own their businesses in Nigeria and don't pay their employees on time, or intentionally delay paying salaries to pursue other opportunities. That's a basis for a lawsuit in the US. So, I see the differences in both systems. |
What happened to those that tried to retrieve yesterday? |
It depends on the country and their labor laws. In the US, as a full time employee for a firm, even if you get fired or laid off, you are entitled to file for unemployment benefits. Your previous employer will be held accountable to pay you some stipends until you get another job - usually within a 3 to 4 month window. While receiving the unemployment checks, you are also able to request to be trained on a skill or certification that can help you get a job faster, the cost is on your previous employer as well. Of course, it will depend on the basis of your job loss and the type of company you work for. A large company would rather pay you the unemployment checks than spend more on lawyers to fight your unemployment claim, a small or cheap company would often look for loopholes in the laws to avoid making the payment. That's why some of them try to limit your working hours to less than 40 hours a week. You're not technically considered a full time employee if you worked 39 hours or less a week, so you're not entitled to benefits reserved for full-time 40hr employees, including the unemployment benefits to save them on costs. Crazy right? Not sure if it's the same in Nigeria or other countries. |
Dbanj must have begged them to allow him take a picture with them. He doesn't fit in his outfit and was only allowed to take no more than two pictures with them. He must has asked for their autographs too. |
Too long. Buhari can not read this. He has his next flight to catch. |
Stupid initiative. How does a 1-day festival translate to jobs? After the 1-day festival, what happens to the 'employee'? You will end up spending millions in the name of supporting these festivals, making notHong back in return. Lair must think everyone is from the north. |
ClassCaptain:Na movie? |
I blame the suicide bombers. Dem no wan enter new year with their family? Na bleach dem take brainwash them? |
cosby02:Can't you observe they have kept quiet now? Their oyel is gradually becoming useless. |
This CBN governor needs to be replaced asap. |
See as the owner pose for camera. ![]() |
JustKeen:The POS may be stolen. I don't think they're that dumb to open a POS in their names. According to the writeup, they only use the POS to validate that the pin is correct. TheI plan is to go to an ATM and do the actual withdrawal before authorities are notified. |
This $2.1b no wan gree finish. Criminals popping up everyday. They bit more than they could chew, billion no be small number. |
cococandy:Yeah. I've met women like that that like to be tortured, spanked, choked etc. I've seen news of the Turturro leading to death in some cases. |
drizslim:Is there also a pawpaw island in Lagos? Why the weird names? I've heard of banana island, groundnut island and now pawpaw island. |
Retiring from being an artiste is different from retiring from producing good music and discovering talents. That's what Don Jazzy is known for. He's better in these areas than actually singing. The first time I heard him sing was after Mo-hits breakup, I thought he tried to prove a point and he succeeded in doing it. He's better off driving Mavin from behind the scenes, he has already made his name and has touched lives in the music industry. Finally, his humility is second to none. |
That he predicted Buhari would win the election and it happened doesn't mean anything. It's all on a 50-50 chance. Afterall, some prophet said Jonathan would win. I'd wait till he predicts winning lottery numbers weeks ahead, that's what a lit of people will benefit from. |
See what Lai Muhammed has resurrected. |
Those are white folks. Some of their women love that. Some won't even mess with a man that can't put them through that. It's their culture. In Nigeria it's a different ballgame. The woman go first ask you why?? But this woman wanted it and she got it, so it doesn't count towards abuse at all. |
ishiamu:I was wondering same, until I noticed the man probably didn't have any other picture without a bottle. |
