At most, most universities will simply ask that Lecturer-student relationships be declared to the relevant supervisory bodies. That's all. Even using common sense you should know that what you attached doesn't apply here. |

Cmanforall: This is just it!
Maybe the money they make is affecting some of them. I wish there'd be acoach who will come with so much discipline for the Super Eagles players. Even make strict controversial rules, such as no dreadlocks for anyone who wants to play, or no coloured hair
There's pride in that team, and possibly cliques.
Most of the players earn more than the coach, and the coach Milan also be collecting tips from them. This may make it difficult to really control them. A no nonsense coach is what Nigeria needs. Not one who can be influenced by money to feature players. Nigeria needs a coach who can be mean to ask players not to dye their hairs, if they want to be in the team. Discipline is needed! This particular coach can't be collecting tips from these boys. He was a former player and has coached in many places. He is a big name in his own right. Moreover, he as a European and such ymcukture will be strange to him. And it's not about hairstyle either. I'm sure you will agree that none of these boys has a hairstyle as crazy as Taribo West. What they lack is something that must be instilled in you from a very young age and it can neither be taught nor instilled into an adult. Drive comes from a strong sense of self esteem and purpose. A constant desire to be better because you have a higher purpose. You either have it or you don't. |

floss: For Fubara To checkmate Wike is very easy, because wike has played all his cards nothing new is coming out anymore
The only thing Fubara will do now is go privately and see president Tinubu, swear his allegiance to him so that his reelection will be easy and he enjoys federal backing.
This will frustrate wike for another 6 years… because when the person you’re fighting is also backed by your boss, your chances of winning is cutoff.
Fubara being with Tinubu will put more fear in wike politically and become obedient because Fubara has all wikes files that will implicate wike while he was governor, and this will be the biggest file Tinubu will have against wike to make him obedient forever…
Wike only exposed all his cards using court and state Assembly…
Once Fubara makes this move, wike relevance is cut, wike might not return as minister in 2027 because he has nothing to offer Tinubu again.
Tinubu long plan of controlling Rivers politics will now be secured even after leaving office.
Tinubu needs to be studied in Nigerian schools, how he checkmates other politicians by playing their game and beating them in their game. Assuming this is how it works...why would Tinubu trust Fubara? The oath Fubara swore to Wike did he keep it? |

These people are not serious. I thought they would have said the entire state of emergency is wrong; rather, all I see here is that they want Wike to be sacked too. Prof Benjamin Okaba, president of Ijaw National Congress, INC:
“We say it is hasty because the President has so much opportunity to leverage on the calls made by Nigerians from all quarters to call his minister, Nyesom Wike, to order.
“These are obvious facts flying all over the place, and I thought the President should have looked at all of these. I said it is lopsided—why will you leave Wike and sack Sim? The best thing is to remove everybody who played a role in this.
“Wike has to be sacked, and all the federal appointees from the state also have to be sacked because if you do not sack them, they will use their positions to perpetrate more crises and create more advantageous roles for themselves.
Tinubu prejudiced—Miakpor, retired Delta judge
“As it is now, the state of emergency seems to have given thumbs up for vaunting godfatherism because you could say that now that the president has gone this way, he has not mentioned the external influence, especially Wike, who is the origin of all these. This shows that he has a bias that he needs to cure.
“If the President wants to be viewed as fair, he should move Wike from where he is now; otherwise, Wike will not keep quiet. He will try to reach the administrator to influence him in one way or another.
Ekiyor, ex-IYC president reacts
Similarly, former president of Ijaw Youth Council, IYC, Dr. Chris Ekyor, asserted:
“The state of emergency came to me as a rude shock. It gives the impression that the president is answerable to his minister.
“Wike strategically orchestrated all the crises in Rivers State while the president watched. What are the contending issues of the Rivers State’s politics? The defection of 27 lawmakers, and what does the Electoral Act say about such a defection |

Biggaboi: Lol. Read what you wrote again and see how it sounds cos I feel it's typo error. If the president proclaims and the Assembly ratified then what exactly is the point of having an Assembly if the president does not need their approval to do as he likes? Do you even know the duties of the national assembly? This is democracy not military regime! It's not about what you feel. That is exactly what the Constitution says. If the Assembly refuses to ratify, then the President's declaration will be null and void. Clearly, you've never opened the Constitution in your life... why are you arguing out of ignorance? |

lawrenzooo: If you read that speech by the president you can tell that it's partisan. The president never at any point blame the honorable members he only mentioned that both parties could not work together.
The president could have read riot act to the warning faction but I guess he was scared of wike and his boys. There was nothing partisan about it. He literally said what I just said he said: that both parties have failed to obey his guidance. But why is it that you can defend such blatant criminality? Question: was destroying the state house of assembly a crime? Is blowing up pipelines a crime? All because lawmakers threatened you with impeachment, which is their legal right and duty? How do you justify your support for all these? |
Politics › Re: Tinubu’s State Of Emergency Prevented Fubara’s Impeachment – AGF by SmartyPants(m): 9:02am On Mar 20, 2025 |
Pierocash: Stupid talk. So they are aware that the 27 dishonourable lawbreakers initiated impeachment proceedings against Fubara, but suddenly fail to be aware that this cartel and gang of 27 lawbreakers avoided budget presentation, and have been harassing Fubara and CJ , but they still turned around to blame Fubara. These guys have been hitting up the polity since the supreme Court injustice, yet tinubu and his men still turned around to still blame Fubara. Wicked , dishonest, and crooked elders You're not making sense. In the text of Tinubu's speech that I read, he clearly said both sides have not abided by his counsel. However, it is obvious that the final trigger for federal intervention was the blowing up of pipelines (after already demolishing the state house of assembly building, in a most unprecedented assault on democracry), and that is taking a political dispute into the realm of criminality. So, are you arguing that both parties really share the same level of blame? You cannot be serious. |

gidgiddy: If you suspend the constitution, is it not the same constitution that the new administrator will follow? Tinubu suspended Fubara, and appointed some other guy, but that other guy must still follow the constitution, meaning the constitution was not suspended That's why I said suspension of the Constitutional order and not suspension of the constitution. What that means is simply, the Constitution as it applies to the existence of the Rivers state government does not apply. Thus, the idea that the president needs special powers to suspend the governor is misguided. He can rule by decree when a state of emergency is declared. However, such decrees must still comply with other fundamental constitutional provisions. |
Politics › Re: There Is No Law That Allows A President To Suspend A Governor - Falz by SmartyPants(m): 8:23am On Mar 19, 2025 |
gidgiddy: To be frank, the law on state of emergency does not give the President the right to suspend the Governor and his deputy Comments like these stem from ignorance on what it means to declare a State of emergency. By default, the declaration of a state of emergency is the suspension of the Constitutional order in the affected place. It brings the state directly under the control of the president. In effect, it is a civilian version of military rule. |

Politics › Re: Dangote Plans Largest Seaport In Ogun by SmartyPants(m): 9:31am On Mar 18, 2025 |
kettykin: The answer is very simple, weakocracy. Government of the weak by the weak for the weak. Nigeria is neither capitalist, communist, nor socialist. What it practices is Weakoconomy—an economy run by weak, uncreative parasites who hijack government power to enrich themselves while the truly hardworking and intelligent struggle against systemic sabotage. These leeches allocate oil wells to themselves, hoard national wealth, and then have the audacity to flaunt their stolen fortunes, mocking those who grind daily for success.
Dangote, for instance, has been handed monopoly after monopoly—on rice importation, cement production, and even fuel importation, courtesy of NNPC. Not because of exceptional business acumen, but because the system is rigged to create state-sponsored oligarchs who pretend that no billionaire can emerge without government blessings. Meanwhile, real entrepreneurs are crushed under policies designed to keep them from rising. Can you share evidence of this? |
