FROM THE SUPREME COURT OF NIGERIA. Jime vs Ortom Justices : How many polling units has the APC pleaded? Counsel to INEC: 610 polling units. Justice : If the whole polling units are decided in favour of the APC ,will it change the course of the election? Will it have significant difference? Counsel to INEC: No, it won't change anything, Governor Ortom will still win by majority of lawful votes cast. |
color=#990000] FROM THE SUPREME COURT TODAY JIME VS ORTOM Jime's lawyer said after card reader accreditation, you proceed and vote and as such, the card reader accreditation figures should tally with the result of the election. One of the judges asked him, what if someone drops ill after identification by the card reader? Another judge asked, is a voter bound to vote after accreditation? Na there wahala come oh. At this point, he somersaulted from his earlier argument of "perfect, congruence and alignment" to argue that the figures should be almost at parity. It is contradictory to argue for "perfect" in one breath and in the next breath mix it up with "near perfect". Perfect and near perfect are two different things. Secondly, Jime's lawyer said with the judgement of the Supreme Court on the Imo appeal, they don't need to call witnesses polling unit by polling to prove their case. One of the Judges quickly intercepted him, she told him not to misquote them, he should first get the judgement, read and understand before quoting them. She told him the case in Imo was about election that was conducted and result of some polling units not included in the final Collation. Jime's lawyer quickly withdrew his submission. Me: JIME lawyers are wonderful.[/color] |

HgsMediaPlus:He wasn't stoned to death by a mob....please stop saying what you don't know. he was killed by a single guy. The deceased was also a cultist. he was shot in the chest, while he was struggling, the guy picked a block and smashed his head. He would have escaped death by running away but hell no....this is someone that bullets don't penetrate him and everyone around him knows...he feels that nothing can happen to him. but juju pass juju. The world is a better place without them. Anyways he's from Edo state but works with Airtel in Makurdi. And he wasn't chased from somewhere else as you claimed. He works with Airtel branch at Ogiri oko road in Makurdi, he was transferred to the new branch at modern market road in Makurdi. that was where he was killed. |

This an analogy of how MMM works; Assuming 5 friends A,B,C,D,and E resolve to render help worth 100,000 each on MMM with 30% return on investment. Total money in the pool will be 500,000. Since the fund is not invested anywhere, the dormant total remains 500,000 On request of assistance. A collects, 130,000 from the pool leaving a balance of 370,000. B collects 130,000, leaving a balance of 240,000. C collects 130,000 leaving a balance of 110,000. With the balance of 110,000, it means that the fourth person D can only get his initial capital and 10% return on investment. What happens to the fifth person, E? An economic hole is dug. For every 5 persons, one person loses his invested capital. One will ask why is the scheme surviving today? The simple answer is that the pledged and requested help are not happening simultaneously but for every help, a hole is created. That means for 500 people, 100 will lose their money. For 1million persons, we will have 200,000 destitutes and hole becomes wider and wider daily. This is presently the situation with MMM Nigeria and this is why they need more people to provide help so that others who have got funds stuck in there can draw from. Now that the panic has been created, if at all it opens up again on January 14th as promised, the panic withdrawals by Nigerians will create a shock in the system that is guaranteed to collapse it completely. This is guaranteed to happen at some point in time. This is how and why Ponzi schemes ALWAYS collapse. TO THE GREEDY LOTS BEWARE |

Paul Pogba has been granted permission by Juventus to have a medical at Manchester United. The 23-year-old France midfielder has been linked with a world record £100m return to the Old Trafford club, where he made only three league appearances before joining Juve in 2012. On Friday, United boss Jose Mourinho said he wanted the deal done by 14 August when United play Bournemouth. Pogba has been on holiday since losing the Euro 2016 final with France. He played at United for three years before rejecting a new contract and moving to Italy for a £1.5m compensation fee four years ago. The Frenchman won the Serie A title in four successive seasons in Italy and has established himself as one of the most highly rated players in the world. Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri had previously stated that he expected the Frenchman at training on Monday but reports in Italy said the midfielder had already flown to the UK. Former United skipper Bryan Robson told BBC Radio 5 live's Sportsweek that Pogba would be an ideal signing. "He is the type of player we need," said Robson. "He is similar to Yaya Toure in the sense he is very good going forward and can score spectacular goals."

Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has been given a 21-month jail sentence for tax evasion - but is unlikely to go to prison. Messi and his father, Jorge, have received the same sentence but under Spanish law a prison sentence under two years can be served on probation, meaning they are unlikely to serve any time. A Barcelona court found both men guilty of three counts of tax fraud. The sentence can be appealed through the Spanish supreme court, a statement said. The court ordered Messi to pay a fine of around £1.7m and his father to pay £1.27m. Messi (right) and his father Jorge in court during their tax fraud trial The case concluded on 3 June, with prosecutors contending that Messi's father was the main person responsible for defrauding Spain's tax authority of £3.19m from 2007-09. However, the legal representative for the tax office said the Barcelona forward knew enough to also be held accountable. At the end of the trial last month, he called for a prison sentence of 22 months each for both Messi and his father, while the public prosecutor requested a sentence of 18 months for the father only. Messi is unlikely to go to jail under Spanish law Government prosecutor Mario Maza had argued Messi and his father did not prove their innocence and were not able to show that the player did not have at least some knowledge of the corporate structures created to lower his tax burden in Spain. "Messi knew more than he made it appear (in court)," Maza said at the time, adding that they "showed no credibility".
