Although his record has been faultless in the 2010 World Cup, Paul has been wrong before. In the European Championships in 2008, he had an 80 percent record, only getting one match wrong.

That time, he plumped for Germany to beat Spain in the final.

Which police , nigeria police. is the nigeria police stop collecting bribehuh You make me laugh, they need training. dont count on them. They would collect bribe anytime and anyday. they are not like other countries police.

they are not diffferent from the nigeria society. because they dont get paid, they too have to rob the people to keep body and soul together.
And where are the maps to back up your statement? Besides you need to copy this to the AIG based on your satellite experience. cool
PoliticsRe: Uk Moves To Stem Immigration by snowdrops(m): 3:24pm On Jul 07, 2010
justwise:
. . .but why would they cap the particular group of immigrants that contribute most into the system? Does that make sense economically?
It makes absolutely no sense. Personally i think these group of immigrants are the most vulnerable. They can be easily monitored by the home office and the government feel restricting their influx will not immediately and directly damage the local economy. Unlike students which will mean decreased university revenue or visitors ie plummeting income from tourist.

They would not touch asylum seekers as there would be international outcry from human rights groups. And as for the illegals and overstayers, what more can i say, the government is powerless, and would be more so as they slash departmental budgets including that of the home office.
PoliticsRe: Police'll Monitor 2011 Elections Via Satellite -aig by snowdrops(m): 3:07pm On Jul 07, 2010
Is it with our satellite that went missing in space?

Did the AIG listen to himself saying this! The police have failed to monitor elections face to face, now they want to monitor it from space.

I am sure they sense that would mean awarding some multibillion naira contracts with resultant embezelments.

Nonsense.
SportsRe: Uruguay Vs Netherlands by snowdrops(m): 2:58pm On Jul 07, 2010
Well like we discussed before the game, it was a close one from the score line 3-2 and could have gone either way.

For me i was kinda supporting the underdogs ie Uruguay.
PoliticsRe: Uk Moves To Stem Immigration by snowdrops(m): 2:55pm On Jul 07, 2010
debosky:
Believe what you choose - in 2008, 32% of workers coming into the UK came from non-EU countries. If you can control 32%, you can control a great deal, and with all indications, the number of EU citizens coming into the UK are dropping. This means there will be a greater proportion of non EU workers coming through in future years. These workers bring family members, further increasing the number of immigrants.
But then, the last poster made some good points. The cap for now only applies to skilled workers from non-EU states. Which from his statistics is only 10% of non-EU immigration.

So 10% of 32% is 3.2%. So placing a cap on 3.2% of the immigrant population is meaningless; only scratching the surface.

I saw the tape on VHS this weekend and that Brazilian team cannot be equalled - the 1970 team would get close though.
The brand of football was brilliant. I am not sure they learnt how to defend cos they often passed their way out of dangerous situation at the back.
Eder, Falcao, Zico, Dr. Socrates, Junior, etc. The only useless player they had was Serginho. . . . .The nucca was useless. grin
Hahaha, i remember those old VHS tapes. Those were the days. I have not seen any of the matches for yrs. Cant seem to recall Serginho though.

Yes they had one. He is a medical doctor. Can you imagine. I loved him, tall lanky and all bearded like a professor.

Schweinsteiger has never really being anonymous. His problem has been injury and unsavoury lifestyle. I wonder why any of the big clubs never took real notice of him before the world cup.

Did you actual watch Spain 82 live and direct? Or you watched the FIFA world Cup films?
We were not spoilt with satellite tv as there is today. So no, i sorrily watched recorded matches. I cant remember if the then NTA showed any of the matches live.

Many countries have ditched their traditions to pursue results.
The argument has always been there - football results or beautiful football.

The best football team ever is the Selecao of 82 - Tele Santana's Brazilian team.
Jeeeeeez. . . . . .watching that team play would give you eyegasm. grin
Yeah i agree. The Brazilians were magic but the drabbest team Italia ended up lifting the cup. Paolo Rossi comes to mind. He was anonymous before the tournament but sprang to life during it. Guys were rooting for the Brazilians then, Dr Socrates, Zico and Falcao.

Anyone noticed how since 2002 the quality of World Cup footie has gone steadily downhill?
This year is definitely the worst. Apart from Germany's great form, everyone else have just been all hype and little else.
Absolutely spot on. Remember Spain 82 or Mexico 86 or even Italian 90. Those were classic.

I agree apart from Germany, the other teams look like they dont want to be in South Africa. Holland have had it all too easy. Even their team in France 98 and Euro 2000 were better than this.

I really am disappointed in this world cup

Most of what i know on reading and writing Bini comes from what i was taught in secondary school. I remember we used to have some corper/teachers. They were brilliant.
@ honeric01. Its not too difficult to read/write. It is not the easiest to learn with books alone. A few interactive tutorials is all you need.

That must mean therefore some cheap tickets on the black market.

well what can i say. who would have predicted that Uruguay would make it this far at the start of the tournament and that Holland would get to the semis by not only beating Brazil but not losing a single match.

I believe any prediction at this stage is nothing more than "gbo-gben-ta".
