Emotions are still very high after Nigeria was kicked out of the world cup. Hence a lot of misinformed people are supporting this stupid action of Jonathan. Give it one/two years, when Nigeria cant play in various football tournament as a result of FIFA ban, then the harsh reality of being in footballing wilderness will hit home |
honeric01 AKA kosovo AKA ohisng are nairaland reps. for Oshiomole. I dont buy this showmanship anyway. We wait to see what EFCC will uncover after this troll Oshiomole is finally kicked out of office. |
Goodluck 1 FIFA 1 Its half time. The second half will be played over 48 hours. It promises to be tense, intriguing and action packed. The grass on the pitch [Nigerians] go hear wheenn for this one ![]() |
I agree with most things you have said, but to blame Africas woes on perceived exploitation by old colonial masters and western super powers is basically simplistic and flawed. |
The Brazilian team is too organised and tactically gifted for the dutch. Unlike previous Brazilian football teams at the world cup, their defence is rock solid. The only weakness is at the left full back with Michel Bastos. He does not play left back normally for his french club, and does not always time his forwards runs, so that's something robben can exploit. But the Brazilian midfield and attack is simply brilliant. I am impressed with Gilberto Silva. He has done well with various combinations ie Philippe me lo or ramires. Pity ramires is missing the dutch game. And what can you say with the deadly triangle or robinho, kaka and fabiano. Perhaps another weakness is the absence of elano. I am yet to be convinced by the contribution of alves. He looks like fish out of water in midfield. Far prefer the young chap nilmer. Kleberson looked sharp when he came on against Portugal. And for the dutch. . . . . take out robben, sneilder, van bommel and what do you have? A collapsing team. |
i am sure that after the millions of hungry and jobless people in edo state have sat and watched this spectacle at ring road, their stomach will be full and maybe their job will be to sit and look ring road everyday. good job by the government but wrong timing. |
well bring it on. only a thief defends a thief. |
who dash you? go to stamford bridge. ![]() |
Impressive. And i dont always say that about this Oshiomole government. |
This shows jonathan for who he really is, A clueless, two-faced, corrupt, conniving coward. |
KokoBeware:If you have an impaired sense of vision surely your olfactory glands should be functional. SMELL THE COFFEE. Its the oldest trick in the book. Politicians at it again. All these talk of ID is bullocks. Thats no priority to the masses but it is the Oshiomole and his theiving AC as its an avenue to siphon money. |
Steal a few naira you are called a thief Steal billions and you are called a chief |
Another white elephant project. Read between the lines people, who was the contract awarded to? Is he a politician? An AC member? For how much and how much has already been paid? Elections are next year; politicians are already gathering funds to prosecute this process and to win at all cost. |
south africa and high crime rate self. its all down to poverty and dividends of aparthied |
Administrators and managers at London’s swanky Grosvenor Hotel in Park Lane, venue of the Nigeria at 50 London Summit and Gala night, are having a rough time today as the Nigeria Liberty Forum in London (NLF) organized a phone protest against the hotel over what members have described as a “culture of waste” by the Goodluck Jonathan government. At least 18 Nigerian governors, along with an army of federal, state and political party pretenders, are attending the two-day so-called "Golden Jubilee and Gala Nite," ostensibly to “celebrate” Nigeria's golden jubilee, which is four months away. The protesting Nigerians, calling for accountability, are angry that the nation’s hard earned oil wealth is being wasted by irresponsible public officials in London instead of being used to provide for the needy in Nigeria. Kayode Ogundamisi, the NLF Convener in London, told Saharareporters that the switchboard of the hotel has been jammed by Nigerians across the globe. They had been instructed by the NLF in a press statement issued through its Facebook page to protest Jonathan's waste of Nigerian resources on a needless jamboree. Saharareporters had revealed yesterday that owing to our revelation of Jonathan's 140-man strong delegation to the G8 and G20 conference in Canada, he had abandoned the London jamboree to which an additional 120 officials were being flown-in from Nigeria to join the 140 allegedly coming from the G8 conference in Canada. Jonathan was to fly directly to London last Friday but he instead returned to Abuja, making a brief stopover in Dakar, Senegal. Contacted by Saharareporters as to whether Grosvenor Hotel has a policy on accepting criminal money, as is being alleged by the protesters in London and beyond, Malin Lund, on behalf of the hotel, said he was not at liberty to disclose any information regarding the hotel’s clients. NLF FaceBook press release: London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, in Park Lane, London, W1K 7TN is the venue for the Nigeria at 50: London Summit. Over 10 Billion Naira is budgeted for series of events, please call the hotel today on 0207 499 6363. Enlighten them on the implication of the hotel being used by Nigerian ambassador in the UK Dr Dalhatu Sarki Tafida as a venue for squandering Nigeria’s resources. Event date 29th June 2010. Time kept secret by Nigerian High Commission in the UK." The organizers of the event are complaining too, an SMS message sent to the NLF by a panic -stricken organizer, Christian. C. Udechukwu, claims that the Golden Jubilee Business Summit, held on the 28th - 29th of June 2010 in London is a private business initiative, sponsored by some of the worlds leading companies. "He further claimed, "It does not have financial support from the official budget of Nigerian's Global Jubilee Celebrations. However Government officials were invited to use the event to promote trade and investment in to Nigeria, through attracting over 500 delegates from around the world. The event helps to lift the profile of Nigeria's 50th anniversary." Mr. Udechukwu, who once served as Charles Soludo's PR aide and self-acclaimed hustler and operator of BEN TV, Alistair Soyode were sighted at the event today, but little or no presence of Nigerian officials might have led to a major flop of the well advertised event as political parties, citizens and advocates continue to advocate a cancellation of the Nigeria at 50 celebrations for which N10 billion in addition to forced donations by state and local governments would be wasted by the Jonathan regime. FROM SAHARA REPORTERS |
In the fifth pic, with castle in background, where is that? Very cool indeed. Man enjoy your money o. Life is too short. Go for it. |
And the ball is with the japanese players, honda passes to toyota, toyota dribbles one dribbles two, through pass to mistibushi, oh what a back heel to suzuki, and he shots, saved by the keeper, but the ball is put into the net by the on rushing nissan. Oh what a goal. |
The government is targeting the wrong group of immigrants. These include work permit, highly skilled immigrants and foreign students. They bring billions of £$ into the economy while not being allowed to claim for social support. The government see them as easy target as their numbers can be curtailed at the press of a button. Whereas the false asylum seekers, illegal immigrants that come on the back of a lorry and the visa overstayers are all conveniently ignored. They are the ones that either don't work or do so in the black economy where their taxes are not accounted for. And yet they claim billions in benefits. Until this latter group are addressed, immigration will remain a burden on the tax payers and public services. |
Please all Nigerians in London should find out the venue of this show of shame. We should go there and protest vehemently. We should picket that venue.Lets bring yet again the plight of millions of Nigerias to the worlds` attention. Its because of the devastation these leaders have caused Nigerians that most Nigerians ran overseas to make ends meet. |
Any use of technology will defeat the fundamental principles of football which is continuity. |
And i am sure anything short of a victory at 2012 Nations cup will lead to his sack. Otherwise after he must have qualified Nigeria for the 2014 World cup in Brazil there will be cries for the appointment of a foreign coach |
commentary guys. for those not watching |
Lanko 007:Are you ok at all? |
No, source, no article, no details, no nothing. Rubbish |
Yakubu is finished. He should go to qatar or some unknown country to end his career. Also in this category are Kanu, Yobo, Danny Shittu, Kaita, et al. |
Becomrich0:In a way i agree with you. I beleive the whole plot is more complex than it appears. I smell power struggle here. OBJ seems to be the focus of the brohaha. He has a hand in any and every thing these days. |
Some guys above have simply hit the nail on the head. Take the fish away and you will stop the cats/rats invading your house. Take away benefits and 90% of your immigration problem is solved. I know too many Nigerian families that are here falsely claiming asylum, they are living in free houses, they don't pay bills, some are entitled to free bus pass, they get supermarket vouchers free, get child credit, child benefit, DLA, Incapacity allowance, etc etc. They don't go to work. They watch all the talkshows on TV and nollywood movies 24/7. If not they are on the phone yapping to friends globally, or on the highstreet shopping. I know one who recently completed a duplex in Benin all via benefits!!! Whoa, There you go i have had my rant. |
ElRazur:Did you even read the post at all? Or as usual you just wanted to comment on an immigration topic ASAP. They are talking about placing a cap on non-eu seeking a work permit and intending to come to the uk you are here blabbing about having nothing to hide. Nonsense. |
today is not my birhtday. see, beef, i know u, you are seun, seun have collect bribe, hausaman bribe him, i know, i see from my maps, my 3 yaers old son know map, you dont know map. This is genuis. Weldone. Hilarious. |
This is only a tip of the iceberg of the massive corruption and looting that takes place in Nigeria yearly. |
You guys dont expect him to say nothing else. He is from a racist far right party. To them the world is black and white and immigrants have to take the blame for any and every thing. Global warming, the recession, earthquakes, etc. And the Italian government is right wing anyway. |
This sad case exemplifies the typical fraud - victim show of shame. The crooked low life cold hearted fraudster The vulnerable [not desperate] victim The toothless and sometimes conniving law enforcement services. All you guys praising this low life scum should be ashamed of your selves. This is not talent, its criminality. Why Nigeria remains backwards. |
