QNET has been in the direct selling industry for 26 years, providing innovative health and wellness products worldwide. Longevity speaks volumes.
If QNET were anything like the companies you are comparing it to, it wouldn’t have achieved global success and sustained growth for over two decades. Just my opinion though

teeteepeejay:
Some are already jumping onto one MLM called QNET.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Human Traffickers Are Luring Nigerians With Fake $900 Pay Jobs - NAPTIP by Sofiechidi: 12:33am On Apr 16, 2024
I have also seen these negative reports about QNET which got me to investigate more, and what I learned online really surprised me. For example, the company is more than 25 years old and it has offices in many countries. Here in Nigeria, they have a partner called Transblue. I remember seeing a billboard in Lagos about QNET with an image of a father and a son. Don’t know exactly what it was about, but I remember seeing their logo. And not too long ago, I heard on the radio that QNET is warning people about job scams – the kind that we read about in the papers. I mean, it looks like they are working with authorities to fight illegal activities. So, in my opinion, the company is not a ponzi scheme or a scam company, but it’s also possible that there are many bad people out there that are using their name to commit crimes.
BusinessDirect Selling- The Gift Of New Beginnings by Sofiechidi(op): 6:51am On Feb 24, 2024
Guess what, guys? A dear friend of mine just received a significant sum of money as a Valentine's Day surprise, and she's contemplating a new venture. Given her prolonged job search, she's contemplating a move towards entrepreneurship by considering direct selling. She explained that this alternative offers a source of income and a sense of empowerment and flexibility, allowing her to seize control of her financial future. Direct selling, a business model where individuals sell products directly to consumers, has proven to be a game-changer for many, offering financial independence and flexibility regarding working hours and locations. What makes it even more appealing is the potential for additional income through compensation and commissions earned by referring others to purchase certain products.

With my friend now considering this opportunity as a turning point in her life, I find reassurance in the idea of her business journey. It's evident that venturing into direct selling is more than a practical choice – it's a source of confidence and optimism. Here's to embracing the possibilities that direct selling can offer – a pathway to financial independence, flexible working arrangements, and the potential for substantial rewards. May this venture begin a prosperous and fulfilling chapter for my friend and others exploring the world of direct selling.
Jobs/VacanciesProtecting Yourself Against Fake Job Offers This Festive Season by Sofiechidi(op): 12:11pm On Dec 11, 2023
The saying, "last days are dangerous," holds significant wisdom, especially as we navigate the festive season. It serves as a crucial reminder to exercise caution when considering job offers that come with extravagant promises. Scammers often capitalize on the desperation or eagerness of job seekers, particularly during challenging times.

In search of greener pastures, it's crucial to approach such offers with a discerning eye. Here are a few additional thoughts to keep in mind:

1. Trust your intuition: It is best to trust your instincts if something feels wrong about a job offer. Taking your time to investigate the offer before making any commitments will save you great trouble.

2. Verify Contact Information: Thoroughly check the contact information before making any decision. Legitimate employers have identifiable and verifiable contact details. Avoid opportunities with vague or non-existent contact information.

3. Realistic Expectations: Be vigilant about jobs that promise salaries or benefits that significantly exceed industry standards.

4. Interview Process: Legitimate job opportunities involve a standard interview process to access qualifications. Be cautious if you're offered a job without any formal interview or evaluation; this can be a way scammers adopt to reach their targets.

5. Professional Communication: Pay attention to the quality of communication. Legitimate employers maintain professional correspondence throughout the hiring process. Poor grammar, spelling mistakes, or informal language can be indicators of a potential scam.

6. Thorough Research: Take the time to research the companies offering these seemingly lucrative jobs thoroughly. Legitimate employers have a transparent reputation backed by positive reviews and credible testimonials.

7. The company requires payment from you: Be careful of any company, recruiter or job offer that requires a form of payment from you. No legitimate job opportunity will require you to pay to work for the company.

Remember, your safety and well-being are paramount. Stay informed, be cautious, and protect yourself from falling victim to fake job offers during this festive season. Feel free to share your experiences or additional tips to help the community stay safe during the job search. Stay vigilant and have a safe festive season!

Oh wow, that sounds like a close call! 😅
QNET doesn't operate like that, as it is a business opportunity for direct selling. Also note that with direct selling, you can start a business with little capital and no logistics hassles. So, if you or any other person is considering a business opportunity with QNET, you should be wary of fraudulent practices like this which you experienced, and prioritise compliance and transparency. Glad you trusted your instincts and got out of that situation, though!

Crime5 Simple Reasons Why People Still Fall Victim To Job Scams. by Sofiechidi(op): 2:14pm On Sep 12, 2023
Job scams are still rising, and this is due to the fact that people are still gullible to these scams, so it's crucial to stay vigilant! Here are 5 simple reasons why people continue to fall victim to these traps:

1. Desperation: When you're desperate for a job, scammers prey on your vulnerability. As hard as it sounds, remain patient and be cautious.

2. Lack of Research: The very first thing to do after receiving a job offer is to conduct diligent and thorough research on the said company. Failing to research the company and job offer can lead to disaster, so always investigate before committing.

3. Unrealistic Promises: If a job sounds too good to be true, it probably is! Case in point, a job offer promising a remuneration of thousands of dollars, immediate relocation to another country with accommodation and other necessities taken care of till you settle down is a perfect example. Scammers often lure victims with promises of high salaries and unreal benefits.

4. Poor Communication: This on its own is a raging red flag, as communication and how a message is being communicated is extremely important, as it sets a perception of the company to the public. Hence, when you receive a job offer, watch out for poor grammar, vague job descriptions, and inconsistent communication. Legitimate employers maintain professionalism.

5. Ignoring Red Flags: Trust your instincts. If something feels off or suspicious, it probably is. Don't ignore those red flags!

Stay safe, stay smart, and let's protect each other from job scams. Share your experiences and tips to help others! 🚫🕵️‍♂️💼 #JobScamAlert
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Is This Job In Ivory Coast Real by Sofiechidi: 4:51pm On Sep 07, 2023
The entire situation you just described sounds like an intense ring of criminal activities, and I suggest that when one finds themself in this situation, the first thing should be to report immediately to the authorities, instead of allowing greed to keep you there and you, in turn, look for a way to deceive others. However, I do not believe the Infinity Millenials like you tagged the group is QNET. QNET is a legitimate direct selling company operating legally in different countries, even Nigeria; it is not a Ponzi scheme like the end of your write-up states because Ponzi schemes are illegal. Also, all direct selling companies in the world simply require that one buys the products DIRECTLY from the company at the company's price, nothing more, so anyone who is approached by an alleged QNET distributor and is told to bring their money first to register and buy products should avoid the said person as it is obviously a scam. Also, remember that when a job sounds too good to be true with unrealistic benefits, it's usually a scam. People can get scammed in whatever guise these days, so precaution is key.

youngblaq:
Infinity Millennials people aka QNET.

Once he gets there, he doesn't leave, he would have to bring people in too, maybe minimum of two, I'm not sure.

A younger boy I used to know back in school reached out to me to inquire how my business was fairing and if I would like to work with an oil and gas company in PH. Unsuspected me thought it was the Lord's doing. Told him I would. So he told me there was a slot available and they normally sell their slots, that the available one costs 700k. He told me the perks and juice that go with the job ... they're unbelievable and endless. The typical "too good to be true" set-up.

First, the moment I join them, I'd have traveling papers processed for me because they have branches in different places arou6tge world such as UAE, Hong Kong, China, Singapore etc.

Secondly, salaries are paid bi-weekly and he as an approximate degree holder earns 500k every two weeks. grin for dis awa naija

Thirdly, free accomodation, and feeding (breakfast and dinner) daily.

Fourthly, in case of unforseen circumstances on the course of doing the job, affected employee's next of kin automatically qualifies as a replacement.

And many other lies.

The scope here is when an invitees steps into their domain, they dominate him. They expect newcomers or new catches to be disappointed, angry and exhibit violence, this, they are prepared for. Unless you're indeed a YabaLeft escapee.

Once you succumb to their tactics, you adapt and starts working on your own circle for recruitment. A typical Ponzi scheme or MLM. Your own people; friends you think would trust you just like your brother trusts his, family even, if you must, maybe in-laws as well so long they imagine you can't deliberately sell them lies..well that's it.

When this boy gave me all this fable. I got in touch with his old friends (he certainly didn't know I'd carry out a mini survey). Spoke to them (different times) asked about him and where he was.. I gathered that he already sold them that same stories in different versions, different money involvements. Damn I asked for his ID card. He sent me one, and I saw fraud written all over it. I picked few information on the ID and headed straight to Google. I was enlightened and concluded I wouldn't touch that scheme with a ten foot pole.

After reassuring myself that this innocent looking boy was playing "dog eat dog" with me I went to Twitter or X. A quick search brought me to a story of a guy who tagged David Hundeyin's handle to share his story of how his longtime friend who now lives in Burkina Faso gave him this same format. Because he trusted his friend, he quickly abandoned everything he was doing and sold his Corolla to raise the money requested...it was actually the guy's story that I shared above. He was lucky he had his way out shortly and counted his losses.

If I find the Twitter link to that story, I will update this post with it.

Moral lessons:
1. Most people (regardless of relationship) will never show you where or how they make money.

2. Trust nobody. Think about whatever you're told, ask questions and make your own research.

3. If anything is too good to be true, it is indeed too good to be true.

Message to the op... Thank you for bringing up this update as many other may pick one or two ideas or possibly lessons from this piece. And do everything you can to stop your brother from embarking on that trip...it's not worth it. The beginning of every Ponzi schemes are usually really juicy..but the consequences are mostly regretful and it's timing is not predictable.
NYSCRe: NYSC Internship Jobs by Sofiechidi(op): 10:00am On Jun 22, 2023
One thing I have learnt from being a Nigerian is that you can't wait for the government or anyone to hand you anything, you have to take what you want. What I'm saying is, you can always decide where to have your internship during NYSC. Look for an internship position at any company of your choice and apply. You never know if there is a position available until you try and apply.

NYSCNYSC Internship Jobs by Sofiechidi(op): 2:46pm On Jun 21, 2023
Do NYSC internship jobs really pay off? Are they actually truly important? And do they solve a need? While some NYSC Internships may not always have hefty salaries, they offer experience and skills. It's like an investment in one's future as these internships allow youths to apply what they've learned in school in a real-world setting, gain practical skills, and build a professional network.

Let us not forget the knowledge and connections you can acquire during your internship, which can significantly enhance your employability and increase your chances of landing a job after your NYSC year. Plus, many companies offer permanent positions to outstanding interns who prove their worth. So, even though the financial rewards may not be immediate, the long-term benefits of NYSC Internships are definitely worth it.
AgricultureFarming In Nigeria by Sofiechidi(op): 1:05pm On May 05, 2023
I saw a post on a celebrity’s page last month. She visited her dad in the village, and they went to the farm together. Most Gen Z’s do not know the importance of Farming or how exciting and thrilling it is to watch something you planted as a seed or root slowly grow into something you eat and sell to earn money. Farming in itself is therapeutic - uprooting weeds, watering plants, etc.

Nigeria, a country whose economy also depends on agricultural produce, should do more to engage the present generation in agriculture so it doesn’t fizzle out. Farming may be hard work, but it's a rewarding way of life.

RomanceThe People That Make Me Believe In Love by Sofiechidi(op): 3:23pm On Mar 20, 2023
Every day on social media single people are harshly reminded that they are single; like me, lol. With all the couple videos and pictures these relationship people are always posting, while you’re just there, you, yourself and God, the next thing you say is, “God abeg! Abi am I a potato?”. If care is not taken, you can get depressed based on these posts and start thinking you might never have a love like that.

That's so far from the truth because why should these posts determine whether one believes in love or not? I mean, if you’re blessed to have parents who truly care for you, that's love. If you have siblings or good friends that are steadily by your side, that's still love! So even though you might not have a romantic relationship or love, these people are there to remind you that there are various forms of love and that you are loved one way or the other.

FamilyRe: My Mum Is Planning To Forcefully Give Out My Little Sister Out For Marriage by Sofiechidi: 1:34pm On Feb 17, 2023
VoidLife7:
Good day all,

Please i need your sincere input to this subject matter

I am from an average family of 6 living in Lagos. My father is a surveyor, while my mother a petty trader. My mother lost his younger brother's wife after child birth, through cesarian surgery.. My mum was the only female amongst 4 siblings, she was beseeched to look after the infant and her little brother. That was how my parents began nurturing these kids. I could recall vividly how my dad often supply the house with baby food so she could be properly fed. I saw how my dad and mum took turns at mid night looking after her. My dad lost his only sister four years after and he was given the responsibility to look after her last baby who was almost 2 years. I lost my dad 2015 when the little girl was 10, her brother 12 and the other child was just 8. My mum had 4 biological kids, 3 boys and a girl. The girl was the first child, happily married with kids. I have an elder brother and a younger brother. I was intermediate my brothers. Till date, these children acknowledged my parents as their biological parents. They never knew we aren't blood from same parents. We all had same surname. The little girl wrote her WAEC last year and cleared all her papers with distinctions and credit. She had the intention to study law or foreign languages.

I enrolled her in fashion designing immediately after her secondary school, as she had shown interest. It's less than a year she got enrolled and she's already sewing styles. She's heading to become a seamstress in the not too distant future. She also makes hair. Though not professional and she never learnt it.

My mum summoned me last month informing me she'd be giving my little sister out for marriage once she clocks 18 by May this year. She claimed i had been teaching in private school earning 30k monthly and my elder brother working in a factory earning 35k. We got bills to pay for ourselves and the kids. She asserted that the burden is already taken a toll on us. I and my elder brother are the ones supporting the family with accommodation, feeding, school fees et al. My mum claimed there was no money to pursue her education. We couldn't even afford to get her a sewing machine. The little girl suggested she get enlisted into the Nigeria navy or Immigration Service with her WAEC result, and also as a fashion designer. Perhaps, that could enable her pursue her law degree in subsequent time as an officer. My mum wasn't convince with her idea. She claimed there was no one to help her get enlisted successfully. She insisted in giving her out to a 43 years old divorces whose wife had abandoned with 3 kids. My mum was so ignorance enough to believed giving her out for marriage will help lessen our burden😭

I felt like giving my mum good hot slap having realised the reason i got summoned. I felt the burden is really weighing her down, making her think otherwise. I had kept my mum at arm length since then. Hopefully, that'd propel her have a change of mind. I sincerely got her plight though but that shouldn't be an option. She seems not to understand her decision would destroy the girl's life completely. She claimed it wasn't her fault. She sincerely wish we are capable of looking after the children, then she'd support her dreams and aspirations. She believed when there's no money, you shouldn't be found discussing anything that requires money. I've been so down ever since then. She claimed i i hadn't saved myself yet and i was worried saving someone else. She's my sister and i can't leave her behind. She never treated her badly for a day though and nobody knows she wasn't her biological child. If for instance, anyone come up tomorrow informing her or her siblings that my parents aren't their biological parents, they'd never pay attention to it. I was even threatening to report her to the family but she claimed the family can't do nothing. This little girl has good plans, dreams and aspirations but my mum wants to cut it short and shattered due to our challenges.

Please i need advice going forward. I really want to keep my family together🙏❤
So sad!

My advice would be, she should try get a job for now. If she can make a little money and fend for herself at least, your mum wouldn't feel as much pressure as she does now, she can save up in the long run and go back to school.
