His songs are meaningful and meant for activist movement, not for party or melody. Not really beat/studio effects that kids do nowadays where even a goat can come up with hit track since it's the good melody/beat that will cover the flaw.

Then, Fela performed live a lot. Live songs don't sound good like studio. This is what most of these artists today can't do, they do lip syncing for live performance.

Then Fela himself is a talented saxophonist, not just a singer.

Which of Wizzy or Burna or Davido can play a musical instrument? Even the song they do, they don't know anything about music. Their output is just based on studio works.

Fela made afrobeats popular. Fela is a Legend internationally days of no internet. Days when wack songs don't sell. Not days like this when everybody is a celebrity.
