Fashion / Re: African Women No Longer "Believe Black Is Beautiful" -by Sede Alonge by softandsweet(f): 12:15am On Jul 21, 2014
This has been and will continue to be a controversial issue. Beauty, Beauty Beauty.. The word is overated. The earlier we begin to live for ourselves and not to please the society, the happier and content we will be. Its as if the world is in a competition for societies approval of beauty. Funny enough, every man or womans idea of beauty differs, light skin, ebony skin, chocolate, caramel, gap tooth, slim fit, curvy, straight, hairy, blue eyes, brown eyes, dimples, petite, tall, average height, broad shoulders....... the list goes on and on. Ladies check yourselves, and Guys too..... there is something beautiful about you. The list is endless. The creator doesnt make mistakes. When ee try to be all these things, we loose the essense of beauty and we go out of sync with our places in this world. We should take care of ourselves, of our bodies, but the purpose of doing so shouldn't be for approval for then we will never be content in this ever changing world.

Romance / Re: Why Readers, Scientifically, Are The Best People To Fall In Love With by softandsweet(f): 7:33am On Jul 18, 2014
Chubhie: May I please add that the blending of reading with Classical music is some feelings words fail to express. As a philosopher, One of the legacies I vowed to leave for products that came through my loins is a well stocked and updated library and, if the cosmic Universe finds me worthy to tarry longer then I will initiate it to the larger society. One thing I have noticed from experience is that when you read and advance your mind to a certain level you might feel lonely while in a crowd and once you are able to see one that flows on same frequency, MAGIC HAPPENS! The intensity is as if you both know each other a thousand years. Accidentally got talking with a guy I met and the convo sweet sote I jokingly asked where he had been all this while. Ladies that resonate on such frequencies are Milady, lady in Red,gorgeous,lovely,humane,disciplined,SEXY-though I hate to use sexy to address a milady. Regardless of if she worwor facially I'm in love with her MENTALLY. I became a better human through self induced reading but then, the kind of materials you read is another thing entirely.

You got me at "classical music" smiley

runzlord: hello guys.
most times I have rice at home like 2days ago, I had boiled rice but no stew and no soup. but I had cash. so what can I quickly make to eat the rice?

Well if you dont want stew, you could use any source of protein, fish, chicken, goat meat and make pepper soup, short, simple, healthier too........... Rice and Pepper Soup is another alternative to stew, now there are good already made mixed pepper soup spices...

Politics / Re: The Proposed 18 New States And Their Capital by softandsweet(f): 3:06pm On Jul 06, 2014
Lildreezy: ANIOMA STATE is needed in delta o! Enough of the marginalization by Urhobo's. Ibori and Uduaghan has created gaps that can't easily be closed!
I totally agree with you. I grew up in the northern part of Nigeria, and anytime I try to identify myself as a deltan, and say I'm from Asaba. The Urhobo's Itsekiri, Isoko's and the likes always imply that we are not a true deltan, that I am delta Ibo or whatever. Its worse especially since I dont speak and act like "I go die" grin. Sentiments aside I think the marginalization is a welcome development.

Romance / Re: For The Shy Guys by softandsweet(f): 6:56pm On Jul 05, 2014
............ Shy guys have a star that very few people see. They are mostly the ones who end up being rational and emotionally intelligent in a relatiinship, once given the opportunity. Someone once told me " sometimes the person who truly loves and respects you may be the one who finds it difficult to tell you". It doesn't mean they have to be timid in their lifes affairs. They are adorable., they need just a little patience. For the OP, there isnt a medication for shyness since it isnt an ailment. All you need to know is to build confidence, you could start with soft spoken people who are less likely to embarass you openly when you make a mistake instead of 'Sharks' who could openly openly criticize and reject you which could make it worse. Know who you are, because everyone is made in the image and likeness of God, if some people are too myopic to see how great you are, its their loss. You'll find someone who will like you for all you are and more. Good luck smiley

Culture / Re: Does Education Really Make People Act Civilized? by softandsweet(f): 9:40am On Jul 04, 2014
What we need to remember is that a degree is not merely a rite of passage to enlightenment. Its just an enabler.
Being “well-educated” only means that you have acquired credible, formal training in your discipline of choice. Being enlightened, on the other hand, means that you have further acquired knowledge that allows you to know how and where to make the best use of this education. The future of humanity does not depend on the educated, it rather hinges on the very small percentage of those educated who are also enlightened.
This is not to say that one cannot be enlightened without education.
I have seen supposedly "uneducated" fellows knowing how to speak, when to speak, when to be quiet, how to behave in public, how to consider one's feelings before, during and after and action, etc, and I have also seen supposedly "educated" fellows who do not exhibit decency, diplomacy, courteousness, respect for lives and property, rationalism and common reasoning.
The education system tries to impose enlightenment through social studies, civics and ethics or philosophy, but everyone passes through the educational system but only a few fellows let the system pass through them.

Romance / Re: Why Do Ladies Prefer A Man With Status Job To A Rich Businessman ? by softandsweet(f): 8:07am On Jul 02, 2014
In my opinion, the correlation between businessmen and white collar jobs and their relationships isnt clear. It may be non existent if I may say, or just pure coincidence. In life, everything is a risk. There is a risk of being laid off in white collar jobs especially in banks. However in businesses, you are your own boss, and just as economists will say, demand and supply is also a risk factor. But with deep analysis, if it isnt pure coincidence. The ladies may just like men who have a fixed time schedule, for reasons best known to her. She probably wants him to have a source of living where she would predict his time and movement, unlike a personal business which has a flexible time ( to check insecurities and infidelity) or for just plain planning and reliability.
She may also prefer to have a guy with a white collar status and name like "strategic planner and IT specialist at Guarantee Trust Bank" lol grin. I don't still understand.

I have thought about it, but the reasons I've come up with as to why the ladies prefer white collar jobs to businessmen is pretty lame or maybe the women are pretty lame too. (Oh, ive probably found another reason) smiley.

A source of income shoukd be legal and sustainable, thats whats most important.

Any classical song, jazz, soft rock instrumentals or nature sounds I.e winds, chirping birds and sounds of the ocean made in melody., and im off. Rand B will make me feel lonely and I will end up sleeping sadly and could make me sing along and wait for my favourite part of the song, hence hindering the sleep,

Daninya1: Bacary Sagna who plights his trade in England with Arsenal and plays at the Left Full back has told reporters that,He and his team mates were aware of the threats posed by The African champions, the Super Eagles of Nigeria, and they are leaving no stone unturn to snatch away victory over the S.E come monday in Brasilia...He opined that Nigeria are presently Africas best and are parading big guns from top quality teams in Europe especially In England...It is glaring that France are parading players of African decent and the game will be that of Physicality and Wittiness.......Do You Believe In The Super Eagles Of Nigeria??.....

............Source:Complete Sports............
Yeah I read that also. France shouldn't think we will be a work over. Sagna also said he wouldn't observe his Ramadan fast because of the match, Musa said fasting wont affect his performance.... "We Cant Wait"

The French men in my office no go let Nigerians hear word if them win us. angry

Even if we lose (as it's inevitable that one team must go down, lets make it a fight for these french men. angry

Go Hard..

Bench Mikel. Bring him in after we have scored against France and let him lock the midfield down.

I had a Dream.. Nigeria palyed Netherlands and beat them so France must die.

I like that and I support it. We are not a work over team as John Ley on The Telegraph, UK was predicting. They will be surprised.
Sports / Re: Nigeria Vs France World Cup (0 - 2) On 30th June 2014 by softandsweet(f): 11:18am On Jun 30, 2014
Segadem: Yeah this statistics don't win u a match, Spanish team come to mind against bafana bafana of south Africa they got all d statistics, possession, all the "no threat short short passes" and yet they were defeated, then it doesn't come as a surprise to me how they were disgrace in the first and second match by Netherlands and chile. So we dont need a midfielder that garners all his points from backwards passes,we need an active creating midfielder whose passes will pose a threat to the opponents.
Of course I support that, backward passes is futile at this point. Don't know if and who would replace that vacant seat.
Sports / Re: Nigeria Vs France World Cup (0 - 2) On 30th June 2014 by softandsweet(f): 11:16am On Jun 30, 2014
Truth is its going to be a tough match, babatunde wouldn't be properly replaced by Micheal Uchebo. He practically was struggling during the final hours of Nigeria vs Argentina match. Mikel can't hold his ball for 2 secs without loosing it, Musa is fasting this evening. Sagna said he wont observe the Ramadan fast, and that dwarf, Valbueno does nothing but scare me, cabaye is off suspension and would likely play. Its going to be tough. But lets remember the statistics that I choose to follow and thats the fact that the Nigerian team, gets better by each match they play. We will support them and we will win. Its not going be a work over even for france.

Nigeria 4_ france 3 in penalties.

Oooooohhhh!!! I understand your point now.!!!...

That girls believe a guy won't/can't help you out without asking for something in return.

A guy can be friends with a girl without strings attached. Its true that the guys could be easily taken for granted. Its really wrong to use people. If a guy helps out in little things that makes a girl's life easier, he should be genuinely appreciated and cared for. Feelings could arise but just like every other person should be handled with respect and sensitivity especially if the guy has been good as a friend. This doesn't go without saying its actually not to good to demand sexual favours for any assistance. It makes it wierd and morally wrong. Well except they agree to the "friends with benefits" kind of thing

If a partner exhibits those things, they are SIGNS.....I'd they are caught red handed, they are no more signs, it becomes proof.....
First of all understand the meaning of signs and get off my back.....

Romance / Re: The Top 10 Signs That Your Girlfriend Is Cheating On You by softandsweet(f): 1:25pm On Jul 16, 2013
MRbrownJAY: all the above reason can be attributed to something completely different than cheating. the only way to know that someone is cheating on you is IF YOU CATCH THEM IN THE ACT
the reason why so many people fail in r&ship is because they follow such nonsense list instead of. enjoying their r/ship.

someone can start to pay more attention to their appearance because someone call them ugly.
someone can be vague about their whereabouts because they are doing something you dont like (can be anything than cheating)
someone can start to be argumentative because they are fed up with you domineering self.
someone can lose interest in sex because you are not a caring lover.
some can start working more because they need the extra money.
etc etc etc

We are saying the same thing.
That's also why they are called 'signs'
Thats the reason for the clauses in the write up, in the case where there may be an exception. This signs are things done recurrently.
How can your girlfriend find it difficult to tell you about her whereabouts day in, day out... Does she suffer from memory loss

This signs also applies to the guys too...
