The cage is inside the house, and the house is fenced, its not a small cage o. Its big with roof and everything.they have about 7 turkey there. I don't enter the house, so I won't be able to gain access to the cage. I don't know how the turkey manage to leave the cage.

LO and behold, it was our neighbors turkey that left the cage, they were planning to steal.
