The last country before you board Australia flight should be your departure country. The Airbnb address is ok. Fashoo11: Hello everyone, please when filling ATD, the part that say “Departure Country” Am I filling Nigeria or the country I’m transiting through? Also I’ll be booking an Airbnb for 2 days awaiting my result before going to stay with a relative. Am I filling my Airbnb address or relatives address on the form.
Cheers. |

Do you have a Hong Kong visa to transit via Hong Kong? If No then I’m sorry to tell you that you’ll have to rebook/ change your flight. Nigerians cannot transit via Honk Kong without a visa even if it’s just 1hr layover. ExperienceI booked a Qatar Airways for my wife in August with 2hrs layover in Honk Kong. She and others with the same ticket were not allowed to board due to the above reason. The ticket was canceled and I had to rebook to another route. Japkelly: PLEASE I HAVE AN URGENT QUESTION....My Flight for 21st will be transiting through Hong Kong. Is there any restriction or is there any Ban placed there? |

Yes your siblings can sponsor you. Even your aunt or uncle. The most important thing is you being able to prove the strong connection between you and your sponsor to justify the reason why S/he is sponsoring you. seunfoster: Hello everyone, please I would like to know if sibling is acceptable as sponsor for VISA application. What I saw on the VISA application page talks to only parents and spouse. I did not see sibling anywhere in the evidence of financial capability section. Someone with most recent experience should help clarify if using sibling as sponsor is fine and it will cause no issue.
Thank you in anticipation of your responses |

Yes, you can always convert single to couple/essential insurance easily at any time, but personally, I would advise you try and go for the couple at once. shams040: Dear All,
Please I want to ask something. I have a scholarship from UNSW for a Ph.D. but I do not have money for couple health insurance as UNSW said they will only refund the health care ( for me alone) when I am in Australia. Now I want to ask is it possible that I buy two single medicare insurance which is around 3068dollars each instead of buying couple? Then when we get to Australia one can get money and buy the couple one later. |

Read News and update yourself about the happenings around the world. Citizens and Permanent residents have been entering for months now. The December 1 is just the date to free some temporary visa holders to enter. Are you forced to take the vaccine? No Is it compulsory you leave Nigeria? No We’re only here to update people with open minds who might find some information useful. Weather it adds up or not is left to you to decide. DoDirtsLikeWorm: All these doesn't add up. They said they will re-open border on 1st, how come people have been entering before 1st?
Well, person like me does not believe in these Cov!d 19 chicken Sh!t, the only way that vacc!ne can enter my body for formality sake is if i am 100% certain that i dey enter that jand.
Eeeeh...people dey do juju come agree to sacrifice something important to them, i can tender my health for this their Guinea-Pigism if needs be and that there's certainty. |

Avoid Turkish unless you're reading to spend about 21hrs layover at their airport. Naijabad: What do you think about Ethiopian or Turkish Airlines?
I am planning booking anyone if them as they appear cheaper than others.
Please I need your response as soon as possible. |

My sincere advice is to book and jump on the next available flight as anything can happen at any time. The way Australia government make decisions is scary, you can wake up to any news. Read the below news. 2 international arrivals tested positive of the new South African variant Covid already. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/australia-news/2021/nov/28/covid-update-nsw-chief-health-officer-says-omicron-may-already-be-hereAbout your fear of not getting a job because of lockdown, I’m not talking for all areas though but in Sydney, yes there are jobs during the lockdown. In fact, some got double because most of the Aussies decided to stay home during the lockdown while the hustlers were jacking and making their money. I’ll say again, the flight ticket is relatively cheap now, and without quarantine. I booked my wife ticket (Qatar Airways) in August at AUD17,894 with AUD3,000 quarantine fee. I have friends that were ready to book more than that if they could get exemption for their families as well. But here we are now. No need for exemption anymore. Just my 10 cent though. Ekarl: I feel taking a deep breath and proper planning is the best possible solution at this point, one can not just act because of fear and then rush into something much more worst than the expected. What if you get in and get locked down? No work? Paying bills with no source of income? I personally do not feel they will open their boarder after almost 2years of being locked and then shut it back immediately
Another angle is for those of us who deferred till next year, one clause in the visa states that you can not work until you start schooling, how then do you enter a country 2-3 months to your resumption, rent an apartment you pay weekly with NO WORK? (someone already in should please enlighten me on this, would really appreciate it)
Next is the exuberant cost of flight booked within a short time, that is obviously going to cost a fortune How many of us can afford that?
In my own humble opinion, if you can afford the cost well, it’s worth the risk, if the burden is too much please don’t put yourself in a worst off position. Good luck to everyone
P.S Please anyone based in Brisbane should please please and please again indicate so I can reach out, I need help and clarification, thank you. |

1. No cheap schools in Australia. 2. Don’t aim for one year course. Go for 2 years for you to stand a chance for post study visa. 3. Go for AL1 schools to save you some hassles of visa processing. If you consider all these, with the AUD current rate at #423, then I’ll say #4m is not enough. Oviebright: Good morning, everyone please I'm new in this thread would appreciate good advice from anyone here. I plan on applying to any cheap school in Australia PGD program with a school fees at most 4m or less per semester preferably Adelaide but any other region would be appreciated too. If you guys can assist me with a list of cheap schools with that tuition range. At least a year program preferably 2 years. I've heard torrens is cheap too. |

Yes, there are many schools that accepts that but the issue is with the immigration. You’ll need to convince the case officer beyond reasonable doubt on your choice. ocpaschal: Hello room! Using someone not too related to you as sponsor is too risky. You don’t have issues with the school anymore as you’ve gotten your CoE but there’ll definitely be issue with the immigration on that. I don’t think giving them a call would have any positive effect though. Australia visa now takes ages to process. Just be patient. My visa took 9 months in 2018, some took lesser while some took more. Circumstances differs, just be patient and pray along. It would end in Joy. lucasmoura04: That's 7 months exceeded. As for me, I am still waiting bro. I guess you should give them a call. |

Why would they be blacklisted? Is a family visa illegal or what? Are you proposing to use fake documents? If the answer to this is No then I don’t see where the excuse of being blacklisted comes in. Yes, you can message me but I would prefer posting your questions here so that everyone can learn from it. sisqology: Wow, this is bad. Agent mentioned they don’t want to be blacklisted for doing for me and family. So they were against it. Please can I contact you, I also have some personal questions I cannot post on the forum |

I don’t know what your agent reason is to suggest that but on my personal opinion, I’ll say apply with them. Australia visa is not as easy as before anymore and bringing in family is now more difficult. There’s no time estimate, you might be able to bring them in few months, it might take years, even you might have finished your studies. The experience is not always smooth as agents do paint it. I’ve been there. If you’re not too desperate to travel, then I’ll advise you apply with them. sisqology: Hello everyone, I am currently applying for student visa MSC via an agent. I was told it’s not advisable to go with my wife and kid. But please, how long do I have to wait before my souse and kid can join me? Any rough estimate? What are the challenges I may face? |

It’s not necessary to share that in your sop or GTE forms unless the school asked for it in the GTE form, but it is a must you declare it on your visa application form. Please don’t withheld the information on your visa application. pemilabelle: Please Guru’s in the house, it’s time for visa application.
what’s your take on being open about visa denials in the past on your GTE forms and SOP especially when you have almost 5 denials from 5 different countries since 2013 to date?
Please your advice is needed urgently, thanks |

A few people are still flying in and going to quarantine immediately at thier own cost o. between 3000 - 6000 AUD. But this is quite expensive for many ppl.Can we link up please, I’ll like to know how these people (on student visa 500) flies in and out. Even at A$10,000 quarantine fee, I’ll pay. Smile4mee01: Congrats on the schoraship. you have done well. Ialso left banking to study her ein Australia. oTo answer your question ehn, it boils down to how much money you have. I could be wrong o, A few people are still flying in and going to quarantine immediately at thier own cost o. between 3000 - 6000 AUD. But this is quite expensive for many ppl.
Watch out for the news on vaccination in a few months. The schools here are in pains due to lack of funding from international student fee so na them dey rush us but not at the detriment of thier national health.
Teller for bank no easy, i have been there before. So think deep about it, you still need to survuve in 9ja before youcome here. but can you combine the rigor of tellering with study online. Its tough o, especially time diffrence and the assignments.
DOnt give up, you are doing well. |

1. Claiming you have a fiancée will not directly boost visa application unless it’s a de facto relationship in which case you are to show proofs. 2. Fiancée way is not the only way to prove your returning back to the country, you can use your job as well. Personally, I won’t advice you lying about having fiancée. Just my 2 cents though. max99: Good morning All,
Please advise me on how best to prove I have a fiancée. Because right now I am nit dating anybody, so no chat, pictures or any of that.
And I am told it will boost my visa application if I can provide evidence that I am coming back to marry.
This is really affecting me and I will appreciate experience advise on what to do.
Thank you. |

AUD$23,640 is on the high side and I personally wouldn’t accept such. Macquarie have your exact course and it’s AL1. About your Canada visa denials, that’s not an issue at all. How you package your documents going forward is what matters. Note: I had 4 US visa denials before applying to Australia and I got it. In fact, my wife also got it in August. So put the Canada denials behind you, get all the necessary documents, leave no gap or flaw in your documents, be truthful and be prayerful. Amahjosh: I just confirm Softkey that the $14,000 is not the first semester fee but just the deposit fee i am to pay here in Nigeria. The First Semester fee is AUD$23,640 which way too expensive to forfeit after first semester. Which AL1 school will you advice me to go for that has lower tuition fee for first semester that I can forfeit or even continue with if it within my budget of AUD$28k to $35k. Canadian application has bastardized my profile with 2 denials so I can only apply to AL1 schools. Please I need advice Fam |
Travel › Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Softkey(m): 3:08am On Nov 26, 2020 |
$14,000 for first semester is not too much for an AL1 school. Personally, I’ll take the offer, complete the first semester then move if I need to. Amahjosh: So what do you advice should I still go for the school and change to lower tuition fee school after my first semester and forfeit the $14,000 initial deposit after my first semester? |
Travel › Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Softkey(m): 2:30am On Nov 26, 2020 |
Oh, I thought you mean AUD$47,280 for the whole course. You didn’t specify it was for a year. If it’s for a year then it’s on the high side. Amahjosh: Thank you Softkey for your input. So AUD$98,000 for a 2 years program is cheap, chai Now i believe there is nothing like cheap schools in Australia. So I should give it a shot. |
