Have you applied for Australia visa before with that information and got denied? If yes then keep it that way.
Justasking:
Thanks. I was thinking since I mentioned two jobs in the country I applied and was rejected... Mentioning just one past job would be a problem as they would find out or something
TravelRe: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Softkey(m): 3:07pm On Dec 21, 2019
Only mention the employment you can show evidence for. Reference letter and pay slips might be requested.
Justasking:
Hello guys
I stated in another country two jobs but I intend mentioning only one for Australia as I didn't work in the second place for up to a week. I was refused in the other country and I mentioned about the visa refusal.. Is it okay to just state one employment

Since you initially got a COE that stated 2years means the school offer the same course spread for a duration of 2years.
If I’m right about that, then you’re halfway good. Meet with the school admission team upon arrival to change your duration and get new COE. This might probably means you reapplying for a visa. In doing so, you’ll be issued a bridging visa to legally remain in Australia during the process of the new visa which might take time as the normal one. Note that you might not be able to work with the bridging visa hence you need to be highly prepared of the living expenses without work.
Nikky121:
Good day everyone, thank you for all the great contributions made on this platform. I have been a beneficiary of the information shared on this platform.

To the good news, I got my study visa grant for a 1 year course in Sydney. I was excited by the grant but the 1 year hasn’t really made me celebrate the good news.

How it happened: initially I got an admission for a 2 year course but due to the delay in visa grant, my admission was deferred to February.
Subsequently, the school issued me a new COE which happened to be for 1 year. I made a mistake of not confirming as it didn’t occur to me there could be a change in the number of years of the course.
I didn’t notice until my Visa grant came through.

To my issue: what are the possibilities around changing my course to get 2 years once I land in Aussie?

Are there other possible solutions you can think of?

Please I need the help of those who may have gone through this in the past or knows someone who had this same issue. Or is there someone currently in this same dilemma?

All input will be greatly appreciated, thank you.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in Advance.

I would advice you direct this to your school visa advisory dept. They’re in e best position to answer this.
CaptainDee:
Good day guys. Please, I would like to know if taking up the study abroad option in Germany that my uni offers, say for a semester or two out of my 2 years Masters program in Australia, affects my post study visa application or I have to spend all my 2 years in Australia for studies for me to be eligible for the post study visa. Thanks

Fear not, US Visa denial won’t affect you. If it’s a previous Australia student denial then there might be an issue with the admission. But for US, no worries.
Vincentosa:
I was filling my acceptance form to uts, I got to a point where they asked about Visa refusal in the past. The instruction says I must contact the school before I proceed. I have been refused a visa by US embassy in October 2015, wanted to attend a conference sponsored by my office but it was refused. Now I wrote to the school as instructed. They sent me this.

Please our experienced bosses here how do I go about the reply. Thanks

I don’t think that information is relevant.
My personal advice is, do not give unnecessary information. Only give the information required.
Dearbest:
Please I need a response, is it advisable to state in my GTE statement that my sponsor's children are in another country say Canada/America for their postgraduate study just to reinforce his financial capacity and love for education. Please kindly reply.
TravelRe: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Softkey(m): 2:45am On Dec 12, 2019
That’s a false information. You can all make your application together and go at once. I would recommend you do it together though as joining later isn’t easy as people think it is.
Note: you’re responsible to make your own choice

First thing is to secure an admission. You really have to convince the school why leaving your building tech to Nursing as the two didn’t match. Then later convince the CO while applying for visa. As for admission, search for your desired schools and try to contact them via mails or call to know if they can take you in stating clearly your conditions.
Secondly, forget about the TOEFL. It has nothing to do anymore as it has expired. Get n new English test.
Lastly, about your US Visa denial. Relax your mind and be truthful while lodging your visa.
I was denied US Visa 5times and I got my Australia student visa at first time. Though it took 7months (far more than the expected time).
Wish you all the best.
RileyIcedbeatz:
Good day everyone, thanks for all the contributions on this wonderful thread. Please I want to ask something. I studied building technology (HND)here in Nigeria my N.D cgpa is 3.09 while my HND cgpa is 2.74 and Ifinished Nysc and all. I'm 32 years btw, I've always wanted to study computer science and want to apply for admission into an Australian university, the thing now is an acquaintance told me that I should try and apply for a school in Sydney or Melbourne that there is better advantage and chances of getting job there. He also advised me to study nursing that many other courses for a low percentage of gaining job as an African and stuff. That I should study nursing, he studied Business management and couldn't get a job and had to go back and study nursing and that's when he got a job and has been working since then.
I want to ask the house please what's your insight on this?
BTW I took TOEFL in 2015 got 85/120 I dont know whether it can aid my application, though toefl expires after two years. I used it to apply for admission in U.S but was denied 4 times will the 4 times affect my Australian visa application? Do I have to get a new Nigerian international passport?
What would you do if you were in my shoes? Thanks in advance for responding to my questions.

With TAFE, his chance of visa grant is very small. I would suggest masters once he already have BSc.
infotail:
Please I have a friend who needs urgent advice .... he just finished his b.sc and now he is doing his masters programme here in Nigeria ...now he is thinking of traveling out from the country ... considering Australia and Canada but due to the school fees of the country he is thinking of going for TAFE in Australia and letter apply for masters program over there if he makes he money or going for master program in lithenuia.

So please which is the best option he can take on based on traveling to Australia for TaFE or lithenuia for masters

Wherever you paid your tuition from have nothing to do with your visa application. The CO just want to see your COE that would be issued to you by your school after the payment. It won’t be stated on it where your payment originated from.
Officialjoecool:
Hello my People,
I need a suggestion. I am based in Dubai. I have applied to study in Australia. Should i pay my fees through my Nigerian account or through the one in Dubai. Does paying fees from oversea accounts add any advantage to your application.

TravelRe: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Softkey(m): 1:12am On Aug 10, 2019
No, just be sincere in the information and documents you’ll submit to the embassy.
US denied me student visa 4 times and Australia embassy granted my visa at first trial.
It took about 7months though.
Purehuman:
Good morning everyone. Please does rejection from US embassy affect one chances of getting a visa in Australia?

Please I need a reply.

Not at all. Mine was just a A$5000 yearly for all African students though.
genny080:
@softkey was your scholarship withdrawn for the next intake?
Because my scholarship is at stake
TravelRe: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Softkey(m): 11:41pm On Aug 04, 2019
Follow your agent. Same thing happened during my own.
DiiVictory:
I have this same issue.
I applied on the 14th may and I'm supposed to resume 29th July. I got an extension from the school till 5th August being tomorrow. My agent have written reminders to immi since no response till on the 1st august they responded that they will look through the application and respond before the weekend.
They did the next day being Friday 2ñd August only to request I upload my original B.Tech certificate within 14 days. That they want to see it. I am yet to collect that certificate from my school though I will be going tomorrow to do that.

My big concern now is the school won't extend time again for me after tomorrow if I don't enrol and they will notify immigration from what they stated on my extension letter.
Though my agent is telling me not to worry, that he will write to the school after tomorrow to issue me another CoE for next intake which is February 2020.

Please house what do y'all advice on my case now.

Though the agent have a point in using you and the step son as a very strong tie, but I’ll advise you apply together and give it all. Dependent visa when a partner is already there is now very tough to get.
Thanksss:
Good morning fam,pls i need your advice...my husband is going for master in aussie, his uncle is the sponsor but the agent advise that my husband should apply for his visa first while i apply for dependent visa after, that my step son and i should stand as home ties for him,tho our initial plan is to go together while my step son and other properties stand has home ties...but the agent is saying something else now??

OSHC for 3years should be around A$1,800 for 1 adult. It depends on the insurance company though.
superplus:
Hello guys,

Please I'm about applying for a PhD in Law in one of Australia's universities. Following my expression of interest, the university has provided me with 2 supervisors and have asked me to submit a formal application.

In the cause of filling the application online, I am being asked if I can cover the cost of Overseas Student Health (OSHC) if I am awarded a scholarship that doesn't cover it.

Any advise on this please. How much is OSHC for 3 years? Thanks

Turkish Airline is cool aside for the long stopover in Turkey. Note that you won’t be allowed to enter Istanbul during the stopover with Naija passport and Oz visa alone. You must have a Schengen/US/UK visa to get an eVisa to enter Istanbul. Else you sleep at the Airport during your stopover till your next transit.
But in general, the airline is ok.
When are you flying?

1. I don't think there's any Australia embassy in Nigeria, so your application would be online and all docs attached online.
2. You'll need to convince the CO with a very strong reason why the person is sponsoring you. Also a letter from that person affirming his/her sponsorship.

The school would issue a new COE to be uploaded to your account.
