Alright. I believe i didn't understand.
But , i believe the situation is made so that everybody can now be a broker.

Also, i think i mentioned where u can contact a broker, or a broker can contact u, the broker can now agree on a minimum price the seller is willing to pay. From there broker can do whatsoever he wish. Which is the normal method.

But i can remember EpikNigeria saying both buyer and seller won't know what is happening and u will get ur profit.

Also, i talked about buyers u contacted doing there own mini research, and one of their favourite tool is GoDaddy. Seeing a different price there can trigger them to us GoDaddy (which they know definitely will not fraud them).

The way @EpikNigeria explained the feature is a bit confusing.

Those that don't understand might now start outbounding for names they do not own.

And here I believe you are speaking from the point that if domain was purchased at Epik and listed ONLY at epik.

But this situation is very very rare.

Most of domainers list at various marketplaces, one of the is obviously Afternic.

All my Epik Domains are at other marketplaces, and i believe alot of people here can relate.

Also, most of endusers use GoDaddy! So afternic (or any partnership marketplace) price will be displayed (which is a lesser price to the price used in outbound).

This new feature by EPIK is not for domain sellers. Its is not unprofessional either. The feature is primarily for Domain Name Brokers.

Imagine a scenario where you own a high quality name and can't get an end user to buy. You contact a broker who is more connected and he gets a buyer. The broker is the middle man and he initiates an escrow transaction. You as the seller would see a different price your own selling price). The buyer sees a different price(your broker's selling price).

In the end, business is done and everyone goes home happy.

Brokered Transactions There is a special case where a transaction is initiated by a domain broker who is neither the buyer nor the seller but is a facilitator of a transaction. In some cases, a broker is arranging for a two-sided transaction where buyer and seller see different prices. In this case, special coordination is required so that the final buyer receives their expected asset at their expected price, and the original seller receives their expected proceeds.

If my points are exhausted,is it possible for them to accept names from me without coins?

Take part in naming contests. That's the easiest way to earn SH points.

This domains will drop tonight.
If you get any of them, mention me wink
Goodluck to all of us grin

@AwesomeDuru and @Viktor88. Please can you shed more light on these.

How did you guys rank these domains. What makes them not worth registering. As we all know STR of domain names can be very low, knowing what not to register can be really helpful.

If the 3k payment plan was 12months or less, then i would have gone with it. That's if i were in your shoes though.

Hello. Please i need further clarification, i bought a name last week, i felt it would make a good brand name. Today, i decided to see if i could find potential end users and to my surprise, another company is already using the name on the //tech tld and they even trademarked the name.

Last month, i believe i read somewhere that whoever owns the //king owns the online brand, but I'm not too sure .

Is it safe to outbound to the owners of the //tech website ?

Finding end users for this type of name would be hard. Perhaps try to submit on SH, if its rejected, list it for sale on Afternic, Dan, Sedo and set a good BIN.

Selling at Dan, means he will still have to open an account with Epik

Buyer had to make sure he will receive domain at his preferred registrar, so I explained to him it will take 57days (then domain was 3days), he assured if he can get it at his registry then he will pay. He won't open an account.

So true.
Hopefully, you would still close the deal after the 60days waiting period is over.

*You don't have to open account, unlike Epik. I have a pending sale on a domain Registered at epik, i asked buyer to open a free account but he said "I can't go through that trouble of opening a new account".

Crypto payment option is a feature every serious domain marketplace should start offering.

Payoneer and Paypal only isn't enough in my opinion. But at the rate which SH is introducing new features, i hope they introduce crypto payments soon. Especially when you consider the recent Payoneer scare.

Regarding your domain with Epik, registering a domain on Epik doesn't mean you must sell the name only on Epik marketplace. You can still list the domain for sale on Dan... or you don't want to do that?

Hi.
My domain at Epik shows a different price.

I set it at $250 BIN and considered price at $200.

But when I try to visit the domain it shows a price of $198.

What could be the problem?

I want it to display $250.

Perhaps you are seeing the price equivalent in £

don't give yourself headache, SH rejects good names just put it in another marketplace.

SH still wont accept it. Most likely because of the pronounciation

Is it supposed to be pronounced *D U J E K* or *D U G E K* ?

The offer was from Epik marketplace and it is been over 24hours that I have responded to the offer.

After accepting an offer on Epik, you dont need to reduce your BIN as the buyer can still purchase for the offer price you accepted.

If i were you, i wouldn't reduce the price on the landing page (be it Dan or Epik) so that when your buyer visits the page, he would still get that feeling that he has gotten a good bargain (the offered price being lower than the price on the landing page).

In all i just pray your buyer has not gone silent on you.

Hello bosses, I received an offer for a domain that I listed at Epik yesterday and I have accepted the offer and adjusted the BIN price but I am yet to see mail that the domain has sold. will Epik notify the buyer that I have accepted his offer or I should mail the buyer personally with the details that epik provided?

The landing page is Dan. Should I change the nameserver to Epik's before I mail the buyer?

You left out vital info. Did you recieve the offer via epik marketplace or via an email from your prospective buyer?

Please I need Help!
I found this trend last two Months.
I read from page 1 to 1000 of the trend before I went ahead to buy this domain names

VetsDenver/com
Virginialawyers/net
WashingtonFuneralServices/com
Greensborodermatologist/com

but I'm having difficulty selling them
Did I buy the right names?
How can I succeed in selling these names by outbound

1. List your name on the marketplaces.
* Dan
* Epik
* Afternic

2. Search Google and Bing for available endusers for each of the domains.

3. Send every end user and outbound letter informing them that your domain is up for sale. Sit back, pray and wait for a reply.

4. If no reply, send a follow up letter to every end user after a few days.

5. If no reply send another follow up letter after a few days. This time, you will most likely get reply. Just that it might be a negative/aggressive reply.

If you no sell any of the names after all of these, still no lose hope. Come back here and ask our bosses what is the next step to follow.

The domain name is less than 60 days. Should I let him go ahead and make the purchase or I have to wait until the 60 days elapse before I let him make payment ? Please help me out

If he is buying from dan or epik, sell and move on. If he wants to buy from afternic only, the offer is too low. You will get almost nothing after charges are deducted.

In my own opinion, let the marketplace deal with explaining transfer options to your buyer.

Hello guys, I am carrying out a small survey here. Pls take a few sec to drop your answer.

It would be great to have a way of managing my domain names. Like keeping tabs on my favorite names so that they don't drop due to non renewal.

Hello boss in other to protect an unregistered submitted name that is underreview with the option of you registering it on S.H and it's taking time for them to review can I register the name while still on review to protect it...The name has been given Excellent (Completeness) but not approved yet

Excellent (Completeness) doesn't mean it would be approved. If you register a name you submitted as unregistered before its reviewed, the name would be rejected and you would have to resubmit it as a registered name for it to be reviewed.

I know that. I have access to his portfolio, i follow his purchases. He has the big pocket, and in his case, he has passed the level of "waiting patiently", cos him wait, or him no wait, e go sell

Same guy sold ElectricCar for $100k+ like 2 months ago. He once said that in the beginning he used to price his names low in order to get quick sales. But now he can wait patiently till end users come knocking.

The same end user that bought ElectricCar for $100k+ bought EVmodels//king from a different domainer for less than $2k on the same day. I wonder how the domainer that owned EVmodels would be feeling after finding out.

I need help guys. there's this 10year old domain i am eyeing. Owner has allowed it expire like 60 something days ago, maybe because he doesnt think it will sell anymore. The domain is in the period called pending delete grace period where in the owner can register if he wishes but will have to pay high as 150USD, otherwise, then the registrar can auction it. Now the problem is that the owner has not registered it and the domain is not on auction ( which by now it should be). I need this name guys. Does anyone have a word of advice for the road for me?

If you don't want to take chances, backorder the name on Dropcatch or Snapnames. Otherwise wait patiently for the name to drop and register it,

NB the name would only drop and become available for registration if no one else backorders the name.

Here's some of the first set of names I registered and couldn't resist the urge to laugh at myself (the rest are just too embarrassing, lol)

With the names I have now and experience so far, I believe my testimony is just this close. Don't get discouraged if you haven't made a sale, it'll come soon and I hope we all laugh last. Appreciation to all who has contributed positively to this thread..

Peace

Lol. Same way i just laugh at myself if I look at the first names i registered.

If i have to advise any newbie today, i will say study on the sidelines for the first one or two months before you start buying names.

Somehow, to start domaining with little or no cash in your hands is a blessing, because you can't afford to go on a buying spree like most beginners do.

Hi bosses I need your help to make my first sale..I received an offer of $150 from an End-user through Epic so I countered with $500 3days after no reply from epik so I messaged him directly to know if he still has interest for the domain. Below is his reply........................................

I wanted to make a counter, but Epik wants me to create an account to do so. I would rather not make another account if I don’t have to.

My counter was going to be $200.

If you are willing to sell for that amount, set a buy it now price of $200 and ask him to make the purchase.

Please what do I do next

Just bought woodary.com
It's a great name for wood working companies.. What do you think?

The name belonged to a former wooden apparel brand. Seems they stopped working since 2018. Hopefully they or someone else might redevelop interest in the name.

I just found out that the plural version of a domain name i own redirects to Bacardi//king.

Maybe its a good idea to try offer them the singular.

i dont understand this your analysis honestly, what other service should an insurance company offer other than insurance, undecided

Don't try to understand my analysis. It doesn't really matter.

But someone who wants better success rate with SH approvals should really try to have a better understanding of how SH analyses brand names.

1. I dont see why not.

2. Finance/insurance.

3. I thought part of the aim of submitting names is to give room for creativity and unique words and merges. I recall in one of SH articles that submitting names with over saturated entries will be rejected.

The rational behind the name is based on the idea that perhaps a coy might be looking into creating an insurance plan that allows multiple/combine funding thereby reducing the financial load on clients and allowing more pple get insurance plan...

4. Movyr - MOVe//YR( sic yeah) - Move Here.

Permit me to chip in a little.

The answers you provided are based on your own view. Maybe right from your own perspective.

Consider InsureJointly, for example, if you own a finance/insurance brand, you would most likely not pick a name like this. Let me just say its a bit too specific. It restricts your company to insurance service only, not just that, but joint insurance service only. How can your clients understand that your firm offers other services, would you pick a new brandname/domain for each service you offer?

For the second name, MoveYr, if you find out that you have to put effort to explain how a name is pronounced, its probably not a good brand name already. Having to explain what the name means can be excused, since made UP names also have a place in the brandable market. But having to explain how it's pronounced, that's not acceptable.
