Corpers are made to face hell before, during and after the election. The pictures below shows how we are forced to sleep in an unfumigate environment, we slept on a bare floor infact in the grass, where dangerous reptile may live in,the mosquitoes bite and music is enough to cause headache and malaria. During the election, you will here both PDP, APC and APGA threatening corpers, if the election didn't favour their party especially in Abia state. We went through hell, I escaped been beaten because I refused to manipulate, thank God for the sincere and strong stakeholders of the community. After the whole of the election Rumour flying around have it that corpers manipulated Abia result in favour of sitting Governor which isn't true. According to sources from Obingwa, isialangwa North and Umuahia North Indigenes promised to Lynch any corpers dey see which made most corpers to flee the state. While I am still in the state I have stop wearing anything that have the inscription of Nysc and even stop answering to anybody that call me "Corper" on the road. The most painful aspect is that We are yet to recieve our balance/payment for a Job done to the best of our knowledge and capacity from either INEC or Nysc as the case maybe. We really faced hell, but thank God we are alive to share the story.

Gov Theodore Orji was again booed and pelted with sachet water on Tuesday at Onu-Imo Market at the boundary between Abia and Imo states. He was on his way to Owerri Airport, en route to Abuja, when traders, who heard the siren of his motorcade trooped out to the road, armed with bags of sachet water. They pelted the motorcade with the sachets of water, jeered and booed at him, shouting, ‘’Onye-oshi vote, Onye-oshi vote.’’ According to APGA officials, Governor Orji is going to Abuja to go and finish what he started having having successfully compromised those in Umuahia to the extent that the Returning Officer, Prof Benjamin Ozumba, in concert with the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Prof. Selina Oko, reversed his earlier pronouncement cancelling the results of Obingwa, Osisioma and Isialangwa North Local Government Areas of the state. While announcing the cancellation during the collation of results on Sunday, Ozumba cited violence and reports of the international observers that monitored the polls in the affected areas as his reasons for the cancellation. Surprisingly, after the visit by the governor, who led chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party, including the National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olise Metuh, the Minister of State for Defence, Retd. Col. Austin Akobundu, Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe and Chief Onyema Ugochukwu, the cancellation was immediately reversed by the Returning Officer. Those who are close to Ozumba, the Returning Officer, conjectured that either of two things might have been responsible for the sudden reversal. One: that Orji may have offered irresistible egunje to the highly esteemed Vice Chancellor of one of Nigeria’s foremost Universities, the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) or that the erudite scholar and professor of medicine might have been intimidated and threatened that he might not leave Abia alive should he fail to reverse himself. The truth is that no election took place in the three local government areas, including Ugwunnagbo and Everyone in Abia state knows this. It is on account of this desperation by Governor Orji who is rascally and shameless hell-bent on stealing the mandate freely given to the governorship candidate of the masses party, APGA, that Abia traders at Onu-Imo trooped out to the road when they heard the siren of Orji’s motorcade. They booed, jeered and pelted his motorcade with sachet water, calling him ‘’Onye-oshi vote, Onye-oshi vote…’’ (meaning the thief that steals votes). The traders said that it is highly worrisome that “T.A Orji and his son, Chinedu, could be wasting billions of public funds on INEC to win their elections as legislators and also impose their surrogate on the people, when workers and pensioners are owed several months of their salaries and pensions”. “They said that ”the billions of naira being lavished by this heartless family is the money meant for the development of Aba and Abia, which Orji abandoned, as well as the payment of salaries of workers and pensioners”. The traders said that they are confident that God will one day bring Gov Orji to judgment, in or out of office. ”He must answer for his inhumanity to the people of Abia, non-indigenes, traders, teachers, doctors and medical personnel, whose destiny he has toiled with for eight years of his administration,” they said. |

As Nigerians await the ruling of the Supreme Court on last year’s Ekiti State governorship election on Tuesday, there are indications that a plot to subvert the decision of the court is being hatched. The authors of the plot, said sources, are Colonel Sambo Dasuki (retd.), National Security Adviser, and Mr. Muhammed Bello Adoke, Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice. A credible source disclosed to this medium that the NSA has been leaning on Adoke to bribe the Supreme Court Justices responsible for adjudicating in the suit against the election of Mr. Ayodele Fayose filed by the All Progressives Congress, APC. The case, which has already been heard and determined by the lower tribunal and the Appeal Court is looking at allegations of ineligibility of and perjury by Fayose as well as his illegal use of the military to bend the process in the June 21, 2014 election. It was gathered that Dasuki and Adoke have visited the CJN, who has urged other Justices of the Supreme Court involved in the matter to give the duo an audience. Though it is yet unclear whether the Supreme Court Justices gave assurance that they would accede to the duo’s request, this medium learnt that they are being seduced with an offer of billions of naira in gratification. Dasuki, it was learnt, told the CJN that most of the Justices of the Supreme Court would be dismissed on the grounds of corruption by the incoming administration of General Muhammadu Buhari, which takes office next month. Sources disclosed that Fayose, yesterday, reassured his supporters that the Justices have been brought onside and that he has been assured of a favourable judgment. Dasuk is said to be contacting prominent Yoruba leaders to help arrest the rising growth disenchantment with Fayose in the South West, especially in the event that the ruling goes in his favour. Fayose directly sought the assistance of a retired army general, but the general declined to offer any assistance. Working on the assumption that there is a tiff between former governor Kayode Fayemi and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, leader of the APC, Fayose sent emissaries to Tinubu that he is willing to defect to the APC if he could assist him scale the judicial hurdle. It was also gathered over the weekend that many prominent members of the judiciary have a dim view of Fayose, whose treatment of judicial officers in Ekiti State in the build up to his inauguration as governor attracted widespread condemnation. Many are also wondering why Fayose, who abetted the ill-treatment of judicial officers, should be viewed kindly. Fayose, a mastermind victories for his party in the state after his own election, may be walking on thin ice. Even if he truly won the election, he may find his victory nullified on account of not being eligible to contest for the election in the first place, having been impeached by the state legislature in 2006. Having lost many governorship seats in Saturday’s polls, PDP chieftains are desperate to hold on to Ekiti. http://www.newsbreak.ng/2015/04/13/s-court-ruling-on-ekiti- plot-to-subvert-justice-by-nsa-attorney-general-uncovered/ |

Dr. John Kayode Fayemi and the 2015 Presidential election. The yr 2015 presidential election has come and gone but some sweet memories of great events will live forever. During the outgoing ceremonies of Dr. Kayode Fayemi in 2014, the young man embarked on commissioning of the last phase of projects instituted by his administration and he invited General Muhammadu Buhari for the commissioning of Ekiti State Pavilion. One of the leaders of APC approached me and said to me 'Isola, it seems your oga has preference for GMB on this Presidential raise of a thing' and I said 'the man has respect for people with track records and that that has been helping him in every area of his life'. Shortly thereafter, the issue of APC primary election was up and I understood that the top level party men were trying to select credible committee members and I said to one of man ogas ( a former Commissioner in Lagos State Government in his office in Victoria Island, Lagos) that to me, JKF seems to be the best man for the job as far as am concerned and he said to me that the party leadership wouldn't want him because he lost Ekiti election and I said to this former commissioner that JKF lost the election because of his credible stance on issues regarding the achievement of his 8points Agenda. Surprisingly, JKF emerged as the Chairman of the election Committee. He conducted a free, fair and credible election applauded by local and the international communities thereby setting a strong standard for Prof Attahiru Jega. Prior to that, before the result of the election that unseated him was announced in Ekiti State, JKF calmly made a broadcast accepting the outcome of the election if that was the wish of Ekiti people. Again, this became a major standard for President Goodluck Jonathan to follow having realised that JKF has earned himself internationally acknowledged credibility through this means. As the Director of Strategy, GMB Campaign Organisation, his strategy of not attacking personality, all through the Campaign period worked too well in favour of our candidate now the President-elect. This calm guy keeps moving forward quietly and unassumingly building an emerging democratic process that would obviously live beyond this generation. Love him or halte him, one thing that is so sure of this young man is that he is a quiet qualitative achiever that this generation seriously needs to keep setting the pace. I therefore seize this opportunity to congratulate him for being a pillar of emerging democratic process in Africa. Isola Akingbade wrote from Ilokuno Ekiti |
