Politics / Fayose Left #155.79billion Debt –fayemi by sojiboy(m): 7:55pm On Jan 24, 2019
FAYOSE LEFT #155.79BILLION DEBT –FAYEMI

….as Ekiti Speaker flays ex –gov for denying them salaries and furniture allowances

Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi has put the debts left behind by his predecessor, Ayodele Fayose at #155,791,785,214.08.
Delivering the State of the State address at the State House of Assembly, governor Fayemi said the sum was the total debt profile of Ekiti State as at 16th October, 2018.

Fayemi said he inherited "a State that was in total chaos and a people severely disorientated under a suppressive government who had raised and promoted deceit into statecraft".

Fayemi spoke just as the Speaker of the House , Hon Adediran Alagbada lamented that the immediate past administration of ex-Governor Fayose, denied the House members their salaries and furniture allowances despite making appropriations that covered such expenses.
The governor stated that his administration had distanced itself from "political witch-hunting and media trials to score cheap political goals" but decided to give the State of the State in order to use the "lessons of the past to create the future of our dreams".

Fayemi disclosed that Ekiti State under Fayose received #184.83 billion as income between 2014 and 2018; noting that the former governor had no reason to owe salaries given the huge revenue that accrued to the State during the immediate past administration.
While giving a breakdown of the debt profile, Fayemi said though borrowing is in itself not a bad thing, borrowing to fund self-serving and unproductive projects is unpatriotic.

He gave the breakdown of the debt as follows:
Loans and bonds #57,694,460,298.79; salary arrears #16,777,257,608.52; outstanding leave bonus #4,402,585,167.53; corpers allowances #28,883,959.00; outstanding subventions #4,770,676,870.98; pension and gratuity arrears #39,775,919,872.02, and outstanding contractors claims #28,575,946,572.25.
Others include Outstanding furniture allowance #470,266,137.09; severance allowance #586,144,167.51; monitized vehicle arrears #101,243,387.24; outstanding warrants #386,77,450.64; outstanding FIRS obligation #184,215,623.43; Traditional rulers arrears #150,214,204.10; judgement debts #95,048,963.35 and other outstanding liabilities #1,792,144,931.62.
Fayemi said the debt profile was a product of the audit carried out by Pricewater Coopers (PWC).

The governor stated that he had used the first 100 days of his administration to "lay the needed foundation to restore our values and restore Ekiti State to its rightful position in the comity of States".

"This is our first stewardship in the series of others to be witnessed in the life of this administration in the fulfilment of our obligation to Ekiti people. As a government, we are more interested in building and strengthening institutions rather than wielding powers or self aggrandizement. This is the world best practice in governance and we are proud to thread that path to attain speedy economic recovery and value restoration for Ekiti State", he said.

He called on corporate organisations, donor agencies, the federal government and Ekiti people to support his administration in moving Ekiti State forward "economically, socially and politically".

Speaking on the forthcoming election, Fayemi urged everyone to play by the rules and be law abiding; urging Ekiti people to use the election to consolidate the gains of his administration in the last 100 days.

In his remarks, the Speaker of the Assembly, Rt Hon Adeniran Alagbada said Ekiti people have now got "new hope through the policies and programmes of the Fayemi-led government".

Alagbada who said the 100 days of Fayemi in government is "better than the four years of Fayose" called on Ekiti people to rally support for the governor to succeed.
He lamented the poor treatment meted out to members of the House by the fayose administration, inspite of their support for the former Governor.

He said, the House had it on record that it made appropriation for for all government expemses and that it was sad that despite their support the former Governor denied them their salaries, allowances and furniture allowances  were well provided for in the four budgets they passed during the duration of the administration.

Fayemi Promised To Work With Security Agencies To Make Ekiti Safe For All The Citizens.

Ahmed Salami in Ado Ekiti

The Governor Fayemi's administration has determined to work with the police and security agencies to make Ekiti safe for all the citizens.

The Peace Corps Commander, Dele Owoju, disclosed this on Friday while paid courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, Mr Asuquo Amba in his office in Ado-Ekiti.

Owoju said that Fayemi's government was planning to recruit and train 800 peace corps operatives across the 16 Local Governments in the state to help the police in securing the state.

He said the outfit was not established to either rival or flex muscles with the police, but to work in tandem with the force to rid Ekiti of criminals.

"There is no rivalry in our mission, we are only coming to serve as partners with you to make Ekiti safe.

"We are relying heavily on this command for the training of our personnel who shall be deployed to help in operations and intelligence gathering that will help the police

"The task of making this state safe for all of us is our focus and we shall go extra mile to help our state and particularly the police in this regard", he stated.

In his responds, The Commissioner of police, Ekiti State police command, Mr Asuquo Amba, praised Governor Kayode Fayemi for striving hard to strengthen community Policing in the state.

The police boss said establishment of such community policing outfit like the peace corps will help the conventional police to combat the rising waves of kidnapping and robbery in Ekiti.

The CP said he never had that erroneous impression that the federal police alone can do the task of ridding the country of nefarious elements, saying it can only achieve such in collaboration with other stakeholders.

He said he was in Ekiti to propagate the ideal of strong community policing and entrench professionalism in the force as envisioned by the Inspector General of police, Mr Ibrahim Idris.

"This command under my watch relies on other stakeholders to save the people from criminals and we are ready to work with all like minded organisations and individuals to achieve the onerous task.

He said the police won't tolerate senseless killings, because our people must be safe.

"I have made myself clear that if you notice that any DPO or police officer is acting as agent of devil, report him directly to me, we shall deal decisively with him.

"So, we welcome you, we are ready to partner you to make Ekiti save for everybody", he promised.

Politics / Revealed: How Fayose Was Disgraced At Ado Monarch Daughter's Church Wedding by sojiboy(m): 10:00pm On Dec 15, 2018
REVEALED: HOW FAYOSE WAS DISGRACED AT ADO MONARCH DAUGHTER'S CHURCH WEDDING

Fayose got more than he bargained for today during the wedding of the daughter of Oba Adejugbe, the Ewi of Ado Ekiti at the Anglican Church Cathedral Ado Ekiti.

Fayose came into the Church in a white buba and soro when the Church Service was in progress but shouts of Ole, Ole (thief! Thief! ) rented the air!

This almost interrupted the Church Service as many people in the Church poured inventives on him calling him 419 Governor, a destroyer of peoples property and a wicked governor.

When the heat on Fayose became unbearable midway into the service, he was ferried from the Church by security agents to under the bridge where his car was parked. He got another surprise waiting for him outside the Church as a big crowd was waiting for him. He was sandwiched between security agents and the Deputy Governor who ensured he entered his car unhurt and zoomed off. Not done, the crowd ran after his vehicle and pelted it with stones!

Meanwhile, while abuses were being hurled at Fayose inside the church, former Governor Mimiko felt so unconcerned and kept to himself. Also present at the church were prominent traditional rulers like the Deji of Akure, Osemawe of Ondo and many traditional rulers in Ekiti State.

Fayose came into Ado Ekiti yesterday probably to felicitate with Oba Adejugbe, the Ewi of Ado Ekiti over his daughter's wedding and also to test the waters on his popularity being the first time after he stepped into the State. His visit to the palace yesterday was not announced so he came in sudeenly and went into the market where a handful of market women and some street urchins shouted Osoko but it was a different ball game in the church today.

The last one week has been bad for Fayose. Just last week on Ibadan when the PDP candidate, Abubakar Atiku visited, he was ignored by other PDP leaders including the National Chairman, Secondus. This made Fayose very lonely and sat in a corner looking forlorn. This was after he was involved in a motor accident on the third mainland bridge. Fayose was embarrased at the Ibadan meeting when against his expection, the National leadership of the PDP recognised Senator Biodun Olujimi as the leader of the PDP in Ekiti State.
As the 2019 election approaches, Fayose may face many battles from within his own party and from the ruling APC in the State.

END.

Politics / Fayemi Honours Olaiya, Oau's Best Graduating Student At Convocation by sojiboy(m): 7:27pm On Dec 13, 2018
FAYEMI HONOURS OLAIYA, OAU'S BEST GRADUATING STUDENT AT CONVOCATION

Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi on Thursday praised Dr Aarinola Olaiya, Obafemi Awolowo University's Overall Best Graduating Student for demonstrating the core values of hard work and excellence for which Ekiti people are known.

The 24-year old Usin- Ekiti born graduate of Medicine had distinctions in 11 courses, breaking 28 years’ old record of the institution.

Governor Fayemi who attended the 43rd Convocation ceremony of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Thursday specifically to honour Aarinola, said she had shown that Ekiti is not a state of stomach infrastructure but the country’s intellectual capital.

The Governor said Aarinola would be given all the support she desires in her quest for greater heights.

Dr Fayemi said: “I want to pledge before this august audience and the council, she hasn't told me what she wants to do but whatever she tells me, she can consider it done.

“If she wants to go into housemanship, residency or even a PhD in medicine, we will support her. It is very important to us that we restore the values for which we are known in Ekiti.

“We are not a state of stomach infrastructure. We are the centre of excellence in this country and when it comes to intellectual capital, we really should restore our very first place and that's what the government in Ekiti is about.”

“It is about promoting the knowledge economy and celebrating the very best of us who have a lot to teach the rest of us because I know medicine is not a tea party. For her to have impressed all of her lecturers and broke all of the records here which excellent people have set here, I hope the college will retain Aarinola. Having produced her, it is only fair to let Ife have her, Fayemi said.

PRESS RELEASE

EKSG lifts embargo on Ecobank, GTbank, Zenith Bank
…MDAs, workers now free to bank with all financial institutions

Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi has lifted the embargo placed on some banks by the immediate past administration.

The Fayose-led administration had in May 2016 placed a “non-patronage” ban on three banks- Ecobank, GTbank and Zenith Bank Plc and forbade government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) as well as workers from transacting business with them.

Governor Fayemi in quashing the directive on the embargo, earlier in the month, also directed that all MDAs should resume patronage of all the banks immediately.

Consequently, the office of the State’s Accountant General has issued a memo to all heads of MDAs to give effect to the Governor’s directive lifting the ban.

According to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Yinka Oyebode, the embargo was lifted in a bid to rekindle and strengthen the age- long relationship between the affected banks and the State Government.

Government took the decision after a careful review of the developments that led to the purported embargo by the immediate past administration.

The Fayemi administration is committed to the infrastructural and industrial development of the state. In achieving this, it will create a conducive atmosphere for business to thrive in the state by partnering with the private sector and encouraging private initiatives, among others, the statement added.

SECURITY: EKITI GOVT PRESENTS CASH GIFT TO SLAIN SOLDIER’S WIDOW

Ekiti State Government has presented cash gift to Mrs Aisha Attahiru Abdulquadir, widow of Lance Corporal Attah Abdulquadir, the soldier who lost his life on 24th October 2018 while on duty in Ogotun Ekiti.

Presenting the gift, the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, said the gesture was borne out of government’s concern for the survival of the widow and her son following the death of the family’s breadwinner.

The widow was accompanied by her 3 year-old son, Mustapha.

Oyebanji who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Cabinet and Special Services Department, Mrs Olabisi Akindele said Ekiti State Government shared the pains and grief of the deceased’s family and the Nigerian Army; adding that the cash gift was to help the deceased’s wife “start a business and move on”.

The SSG who noted that government appreciated the service of the slain soldier in ensuring security of lives and property along the Ogotun axis where he was stationed, stressed that the Fayemi-led administration would continue to appreciate security personnel for risking their lives to protect the State and its citizens.

Responding, the Brigade Commander of 32 Artillery Brigade Akure, Brigadier General James Ataguba thanked the state government for providing succour for the deceased’s family; stressing that the administration has shown that “it has human feelings”.

Ataguba who was represented by Colonel Uchechukwu Simon said the government’s gesture will encourage all security personnel to put in their best in serving the State.

Politics / Ekiti Guber Poll, Free And Fair ---witness Tells Tribunal by sojiboy(m): 3:03pm On Nov 26, 2018
EKITI GUBER POLL, FREE AND FAIR --- WITNESS TELLS TRIBUNAL
….as Tribunal Chairman commends Fayemi’s gentle conduct

The Ekiti State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja was yesterday told that the July 14 2018 election was free, fair and credible by all standards.
A witness Adunmo Rufus Sunday informed the tribunal that contrary to the allegations of bias, violence, vote buying and general malpractices by the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Professor Olusola Kolapo, who are the petitioners, the election was devoid of rancour and violence.
Led in evidence by Prince Lateef Fagbemi SAN, counsel to Governor John Kayode Fayemi, the witness specifically informed the tribunal headed by Justice Suleiman Belgore, that the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) were not biased against any of the parties.
Adunmo, who was the Deputy Director General of the JKF Campaign Organisation, maintained that it would amount to day-dreaming for anybody or group to say that the election was not free, fair, credible and acceptable.
The witness, who claimed to be in the situation room established by the campaign organization to monitor the election, told the tribunal that he never got any reports of violence, vote buying or any malpractice and that all agents of political parties that participated in the election signed the result sheet at the various collation centres.
Adunmo further informed the tribunal that law and order were effectively and sufficiently maintained by police and other security agents during the poll.
"It is not true that INEC favoured John Kayode Fayemi in the election. The allegation of vote buying is also not true and in fact, the election is one of the best conducted by INEC. Anyone saying anything contrary to this must be day-dreaming" the witness said.
However, under cross examination by Chief Roland Otaru SAN, counsel to the petitioners, the witness, who tendered the judgment of  FCT High Court delivered by Justice Othman Musa, said that he was not a member of the Action People's Party (APP) which instituted the case that sought to disqualify Governor Fayemi from contesting the July 14 election but which was dismissed by the court.
The witness admitted before the tribunal that his disposition on oath was based on reports obtained from other All Progressives Congress (APC) agents during the election.
The PDP and Prof Kolapo had filed the petition, praying the tribunal to declare them as winners of the election on the ground that they scored majority of the lawful votes.
They alleged that Dr Fayemi’s victory was as a result of vote buying, wide spread rigging, malpractices and that INEC officials favoured the governor during the election.
Meanwhile, Governor Fayemi, who was present at Monday’s proceeding, was commended by the Chairman of the Tribunal, Suleiman Belgore for conducting himself in a gentleman manner.
Dr Fayemi had arrived the tribunal and quietly taken his seat by 9.48am, after exchanging pleasantries with his lawyers and lawyers from the opposing camp.
The Tribunal Chairman, in his opening remarks at the commencement of proceedings at 10.03 am  said “ I didn’t notice you are here. Thank you for coming in so quietly”.
Fayemi told journalists that he was confident that the tribunal will do justice to all issues raised in the petition.
Also, his counsel, Fagbemi expressed optimism that the tribunal will be able to complete hearing of the petition within the time allowed by law on the ground of the steady progress being made by the tribunal and cooperation of counsel to parties.
Chief Edosomwan ,SAN, led the team of other lawyers for the 1st Respondent, INEC. Chief Akin Olujimi, SAN,  Abiodun Owonikoko SAN, Yomi Aliyu SAN and a host of other lawyers appeared for the 2nd Respondent, APC while Prince Lateef Fagbemi SAN, John Bayeshea SAN, Dr Muiz Banire SAN and many other lawyers appeared for the 3rd Respondent, Dr Kayode Fayemi.

The tribunal had earlier granted 10 sitting days to each of the Respondents and Monday was APC’s 9th day.
In a twist to the case, however, the lead Counsel to APC informed the court that upon a critical review of the case so far, there won’t be any need to call further witness and that the 2nd Respondent will be closing its case.
Following that application, the court accordingly closed the 2nd Respondent's case and ordered the 3rd Respondent to open his defence. Thereafter, the 3rd Respondent's counsel informed the court that they were ready to open the defence of the 3rd Respondent right away. Immediately this was announced, it sent jitters to the Petitioners' camp and confusion descended on d lawyers as many of them rushed out of the court.
The 3rd Respondent's first witness, Mr Adumo Rufus mounted the witness' stand as Respondents' witness number 60 ( RW 60) and when the lead Counsel, Prince Fagbemi was about to introduce the witness, Mallam Yusuf Ali SAN, who led the team of the Petitioner stood up and begged the court for a short stand down to enable them put their house in order. The court then granted their request since there was no objection from other defence Counsel.
The proceedings resumed about 20 minutes later.

Fayemi laments poor management of Ikogosi warm springs Resort

….says govt ‘ll resuscitate Gossy Water Bottling Company

Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi has decried the poor state of the Ikogosi Warm Spring Resorts, owing to deliberate abandonment of the facility by the immediate past administration.
Governor Fayemi who visited the resort on Monday, as he commenced a week-long tour of project sites and infrastructure across the state, said the dilapidated state he met the resort could have been averted if government had shown a little consideration for tourism development and continuity of projects that have direct impact on the people.

Speaking with journalists after inspecting the Resort, Governor Fayemi expressed displeasure at the management of the tourist centre in the last four years despite the huge investment which his administration committed to the revival of  the  resort in 2013.

He said the immediate past administration did not care about the tourism centre which could have improved the revenue base of the State.

“You knew the state this place was at when I left in 2014 and the patronage it enjoyed from all and sundry from across the country. What I have met this morning is our heritage in ruin, it is our commonwealth in destruction, and it is unfortunate that we had a government that cared less whether this tourist attraction is left like this.

“This is not just an attraction; it is also a revenue earner for the state. The little I have seen, all this could have been avoided if this place had been properly managed. This was a first class place before we left, now everywhere is in shambles. Entities like this should not be left in the hands of government to manage”, Fayemi said.

The General Manager of the Resort, Mr. Gbenga Adewale, while conducting the State Governore Fayemi round the tourist centre, cited government neglect for the situation.

Adewale informed the community has been without power supply for the past four years, adding that  the Resort did not get any intervention fund from the immediate past administration for its running hence the dilapidated state of the facilities.

He disclosed that more than 20 rooms and the conference hall are currently inhabitable owing to different issues.
Dr Fayemi who noted that the resort now hardly enjoys patronage because of its state of dilapidation assured that his administration would ensure that Ikogosi warm spring resort returns to its pride of place as a first class tourist attraction in Nigeria.

The Governor equally disclosed that efforts were in top gear to resuscitate Gossy Water Bottling Company which is now off market. He stated this after inspecting facilities at the water bottling company located within the community.

He said: “Ekiti State may not be a very rich state, but the little money we have must be put to more profitable use. We shall ensure that this resort return to  its position as a destination of choice for tourism. Efforts are also in top gear to resuscitate Spring Water Bottling Company.

“Aside making life more pleasurable for our people, these two entities also generate revenue for the state and also provide employment for our people. So, we must do something and fast too, to ensure we put them back to life”, the governor added.

The tour of project sites also saw Fayemi visit Ekiti State Technical College, Ado Ekiti which is currently being renovated in partnership with the World Bank.
Other project sites and infrastructure visited by the Governor include: the  Ikogosi-Erijiyan road; Igbara Odo Water works; Igbara Odo- Ikere road; Ilawe –Ikere road; Public Works Department Ado Ekiti; Ureje Dam in Ado Ekiti and the Oba Adejuyigbe Hospital in Ado-Ekiti.

Others are: Agric Olope market, Federal Housing Estate; Fountain Hotel, State Teaching Hospital Ado Ekiti, Gully erosion at  Crownbiz- Ilokun road, Jimoh Aliu road, Ekiti Parapo Pavilion and Adunni Olayinka Civic Centre.

Ekiti Obas lament poor treatment by immediate past administration

Traditional rulers in Ekiti State have appealed to the State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, to revisit their welfare packages that have been bastardized in the last four years.

At a meeting with the Governor in his office on Tuesday, the traditional rulers narrated their ordeals during the last administration where their salaries were not paid regularly and their allowances slashed to 40 per cent leading to situations where some obas get sitting allowances as low as two thousand or four hundred naira.

The Obas, led by their chairman, Oba Oluwole Ademolaju, the Oloye of Oye- Ekiti said it was unfortunate that custodians of the culture and tradition of the people could be treated in such a shabby and despicable manner where peanuts approved for them could not be paid while some people were living grandiose life style.

They called on the governor to be compassionate on them and return their rights and privileges that have been denied them in the last four years, urging that their plight be looked into within the ambit of available resources.

The Obas also used the opportunity to appreciate the governor for the cars he bought for them five years ago which is what majority of them were still using. They however lamented that about 13 obas who were crowned after the exercise were denied official vehicles by the Fayose government.

They gave kudos to governor Fayemi for giving over 120 cars to all Ekiti Obas during his first tenure adding that it was commendable and unprecedented in the history of the state and Nigeria at large.

Earlier, Governor Fayemi had solicited their support for his administration adding that government cannot move forward without the support of the traditional institution.

While assuring them that his administration would complete all abandoned projects before his tenure lapses, the governor promised to partner with them in his drive to develop the state as all projects would be based on the needs of the people.

He assured them of adequate security in all communities of the state by restoring the vigilante and further strengthening of the security forces and ensure better welfare for them adding that peaceful coexistence was the only antidote for development.

Fayemi said “I know that there are various projects also that my government started which relate to your various communities, in the course of my visits during the campaign, I noticed that many of those projects had remained at a standstill and your expectation is that having returned from my sabbatical leave that those projects should come to fruition and completed in the various communities where they are located.

“We would do our best to try and do an assessment of those projects in the shortest possible time and see how we can quickly effect its completion within available resources. We would try not to leave any project abandoned.

“I have only been here for ten days and in the course of that we have had some skirmishes here and there, I am glad that Owa of Ilogbo is here with us and in one peace, I don't know whether you have returned to your community, but if you have not, we would have to ensure that you get back there.”

Owa of Ilogbo Ekiti was recently barred from entering his domain as a result of a disagreement that happened in the town.

On road network, the governor assured the people that very soon, roads leading from Ado-Ekiti to Akure and Ikare Akoko both in Ondo state would be fixed by the Federal Government.

Fayemi also hinted the Obas of plans by his administration to invest massively in agriculture, urging the traditional rulers to key into the programme.

He also promised to effect the release of their entitlement within the ambit of available resources.

The governor promised to build a council hall with chambers and offices where all the traditional rulers in the state could meet at the same time.

Over ‘Fraudulent’ Employment
The Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode
Fayemi, has approved the immediate
retirement of the Permanent Secretary,
Office of Establishments and Training in
the state’s civil service, Olusesan Alabi.
This was contained in a statement on
Monday (yesterday) by Fayemi’s Chief Press Secretary,

The statement directed Alabi to hand over
to the most senior officer in the office.
Alabi was sacked over the release of

As at Monday (yesterday), Alabi still issued

Politics / His Excellency Dr. John Kayode Fayemi Walking His Talk by sojiboy(m): 12:32pm On Oct 22, 2018
JKF is Already walking His talk.
The new governor of Ekiti state Dr. John Kayode Fayemi is leaving no stone unturn in his quest to finish his unfinished business in the land of honour. Dr. Fayemi started straight off with strategic meetings with partners as soon as he got elected as a governor. Sworn in on Tuesday 16th, October 2018, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi has covered a milestone in his strive to reposition Ekiti finances, imagery and restore her lost values.
Within a week there have been pronouncements by the new governor to abolish the unpopular, cruel and selfishly induced cancellation of free education from primary to secondary school level enjoyed by students of public schools within the state by the last administration. The free education was last active under the JKF administration in his first term of governance and there was never a student driven revenue generation drive under any form of tax.
Dr. John Kayode Fayemi within his first week as the new governor of Ekiti has also been able to attend the NEC meeting at the national level, magically ended months old strike by NULGE, gave strong indications of GOSSY water coming back to the state, created a very strong avenue for the hitherto under-patronized, under celebrated arts and culture sector of the Ekiti state economy to be lucrative, thrive and compete favourably well with other state.
Dr. John Kayode Fayemi has reinstated his resolve for Ekiti to start the school feeding program by December whilst maintaining that payment of workers salary will top his agenda. The governor has shown the true essence of living which is to learn and develop everyday by walking his talk and acting out his capacities in rather new ways with a methodology of a seasoned technocrat.
Backed by a woman with an angelic thoughts and a goddess of touches, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, the governor is indeed progressively and steadily turning around the clock of backwardness and retrogressive experiences set by the last administration.
The people of Ekiti are in for a ride so soothing with a driver of drivers and a committed ally of developmental antecedents, thank God Dr. John Kayode Fayemi is not new to the people of Ekiti but he is rather changing the dynamics of a bastardized environment with such aplomb. The road is still long and there are mountains on the way but there is a positively unrestrained feelings of a smooth ride ahead as Ekiti with JKF is climbing a step everyday. May God help and bless the JKF administration.

As young professionals we commend Dr. John Kayode Fayemi for his choice of Mr. Olayinka who served as his Chief Press Secretary in his first term as Governor and as S.A Media when Dr. Fayemi was the Minister Mines and Steel Development.

His records are so clear and enviable despite spirited attempts by Governor Fayose and his media aides to rubbish Dr. John Kayode Fayemi by their campaigns of Calumny and blatant falsehood.

Apart from Olayinka's youthful orientation, giving us the confidence that he will deliver as ever, his career as a successful and Notable Journalist has also proven that he is able, capable and competent.
