A hardened criminal from Ondo State has confessed to series of kidnappings in Ondo State including the abduction of one Alhaji Akinbami whom they collected close to N8 million from as ransom payment.

The man who is identified as Petim said he hailed from Odo Otu in Ekiti State and participated in the kidnap of one Alhaji Akinbami. He said his nickname was derived from from his father who is a Muslim.
Petim who spoke with confidence throughout the few minutes of interrogation said Bunmi Ogunremi with a man identified as Small with Tjay with other person conspired to carry out their act of Kidnappings.
He said one of them disguised as Fulani but he is not.

A Deeper Life Bible Church Worker wash hacked to death on Sunday Morning at Owalusi Area of Iwaro Oka in Akoko Southwest Local Government Area (LGA) h of Info State.

The woman, simply identified as Mrs. Omode, was said to have been killed by unidentified men in front of the church building.

She was said to have been on her way to sweep the church in preparation for the Sunday service when she was attacked.

The Nation gathered that she was slashed on the neck.

Ondo Police spokesman, DSP Fumilayo Odunlami, confirmed the incident, adding that it was a case of suspected murder.

It is the story of the dilemma a typical policeman faces daily in Nigeria.  They are not respected by the people they protect day and night, yet we cannot do without them.

Listen to this short story....
"A Police officer was shot dead and was lying in a pool of blood, when a boy and his father watched the scene.
The boy asks his father:
Who is this man?
I don't know, son, I just know, that he was a Police.
The young boy approached a person who was dressed in a beautiful uniform different from the others, very elegant.
It was the Commander of the Unit where the Police worked.

*Who is a Police Officer??*
The Officer responded in a trembling voice and his eyes were full of tears:
A Police is a person who sleeps less than many people, endures cold, sun, rain, hunger, and there are times that he/she has no holidays, Sallah, Christmas, New Year and many other important moments.
He/she is far away from the family, their children when they are sick, or their husband/wife as well as their parents and siblings.

A Police (Senior or Junior rank) receives insults, physical assaults, they cry, suffer, endure thousands of scares and many more things that happen, to them in their line of duty.
But when he leaves for his job, very early, he does not know if he will return home alive.
.. This is part of what a Police is.
(Suddenly he heard the sound of a phone that rang in the pocket of the deceased.
The officer left the child for a moment to take the cell phone. When he saw it, he realized that it was his home.
He saw that it was a message, and in a very low voice he read:
"Hello Daddy, I took my mother's cell phone to write this message:

*Such is the life of a "Police."*
Whatever their Unit, whether operational or administrative.

They will value the effort of a Police,
If you have a family member or friend who is a Police or Soldier, take a moment to say this..

MY COMMENTS:
This is highly touching.
I empathize with the police because there are many fine officers out there that are doing their jobs professionally without asking for a dime. I had such experirnce when I had issues with a guy who swindled me when I was in Lagos.
But few among the police officers rubbish the efforts and achievements of all others
I told a policeman some days ago,
"I pitied the police because they do thankless jobs. They are never appreciated. Every issue is on them. When they are killed, the society behaves as if they were never born by any parent or they do not have families."
The police too need more of orientations, retraining on how to relate with people politely and how to improve on their human relationship.
They are the products of a society that tell lies, a society where corruption is endemic. How else can one expect a perfect Police?

Some of them get frustrated because they are not well compensated or renumerated for the jobs they do come rain come shine. Their frustration bounce back on the defenceless Nigerians instead of those who denied them of their emoluments because theirs is OBEY THE LAST ORDER.
Government is not being fair to them, when they rolled out bad policies and the people are angry they call out thesame police against their fellow brothers and sisters.
Where would the friendship come?
Remember that we engage the police when husbands and wives had issues, although the police was not there when they were having their honeymoon. We quickly rushed to the police anytime any business relationship between partners go wrong although the police was not there when the business was sealed. We call the police when there is chaos and pandemonium, the police will rush there at the risk of their lives. Some may never come back alive. When there is robbery attack, kidnapping, ritual cases and all other vices in the society, who do we run to? The Police.

Before the MASSACRES in Lekki, no one cares when the police are being killed and roasted alive. At any slighted provocations, the police becomes the victims as if they are not part of us.
Gone are the days when the police misbehaves and get away with it, that has been a thing of the past with the advent of the social media. The leadership is always quick in dealing with erring officers as a deterrent to others.
CONCLUSION, the police is our friend, they belong to us, they are our friends, our brothers and sisters. They are human beings like we are, let us empathize with them. Let us embrace them henceforth.

Let the good relationship start from here by making this known to the public.
This is for the police, when you are asked to go and deal ruthlessly with the people we voted for, remember too that those people are Nigerians like you are.  Remember that we are suffering under same bad governance that prompted negative reactions. Remember that we pay your salaries from the taxes we pay.  We pay for the guns and ammunition you use, don't use it against defenceless Nigerians who do not have any criminal tendencies.
Kudos to all Nigerian security agents.
We are supposed to be friends, we should be friends, we must be friends to make Nigeria a better place to live.

Bride-to-be and a married man were found dead inside a car along Katsina Road Area of Fagge Local Government in Kano.

An eyewitness told Daily Trust that the deceased were identified as Steven Ayika, who is a married man with two children and one Chiamaka Emmanuel, who is billed to be married in December.
He said the car with tinted glasses was parked in front of Chiamaka’s family house along Katsina road.
The witness said it was discovered locked from inside with phones of the deceased switched off.

Another witness said police officers discovered the deceased persons in a compromising position.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Kano State Police Command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, said their team rushed to scene after receiving a report and rushed them to hospital were doctors confirmed them dead.
“On the 23/11/2021 at about 0450hrs, a report was received that a car was sighted along Katsina Road, Fagge LGA Kano State with two (2) occupants, a male and a female motionless.

“On receipt of the report, the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, raised and instructed a team of detectives to proceed to the scene.
“The team immediately rushed to the scene. Victims, a male and a female inside the back seat of a Siena Motor Vehicle were removed and rushed to Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital Kano, where a Medical Doctor confirmed them dead.”
Kiyawa said on preliminary investigation, the male deceased was identified as Steven Ayika, of Jaba Quarters Kano while the female deceased identified as Chiamaka Emmanuel, of the same address.
He however, said investigation is in progress.

When asked, how much was his share of the ransom, he said he collected N1m and he used part of it to buy an Okada Motorcycle that was stolen after a week.

General Overseer of Christian Pentecostal Mission (CPM), Reverend Dr. Obiora Ezekiel is dead.

The popular cleric’s death was confirmed in a statement by CPM Coordinator, Rev. John Ezeh.
Ezeh said before his demise a few days ago, Rev Ezekiel, who is survived by his wife and children, had urged his members to keep the vision alive and the fire burning.
The statement reads,
”Ladies and gentlemen, I am saddled with a responsibility to all sons, daughters,, and lovers of Christian Pentecostal Mission International (CPM) to make an official announcement by the authority vested on me by the National/International Coordinator of CPM International, that our father, mentor, our General, our Field marshal, the man that saw the vision, the man that began the race, the man on whose shoulder we’re all climbing, the Founder and General Overseer of Christian Pentecostal Mission International, Rev. Dr. O. Ezekiel has gone to be with the Lord just a few days ago.

A man who was arrested in Osun State revealed how they disguised as mad men to kidnap school children in the afternoon, day or night removed their intestines to a Herbalist whom they worked for in Esa-Oke for money rituals.

As the Osun State Police Command intensified their investigations on the issues surrounding the death of the EXECUTIVE-MBA student of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Timothy Adegoke, a veteran Journalist based in Ibadan, Oriyomi Hamzat has alleged that some agents of darkness have concluded their plans to doctor the autopsy of Timothy at the OAU Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife.

Oriyomi said since he started working on the case posting his interview with the brother of the diseased, some people hacked his video on his Facebook Page

He insisted that he will never surrendee to those who chose to thrive with other people's blood.  He rained curses on those who are aiding and abetting evil in the death of the young man.
He added that they are also working on another theory that Timothy's corpse was recovered dead in his Room 305 in the hotel, Hilton Hotel and Resort. 
SOJ WORLDWIDE reporter received a call after reading our last publication titled,
"New fresh facts emerge over OAU student, Timothy Adegoke's death in Hi Hotel", he said the writer was a paid agent that wanted the case to look like Timothy Adegoke's corpse was discovered in the room dead to make it look like he died a natural death in order to exonerate the suspects in police custody.
Hamzat also corroborated this assertion in this video but he was quick to add that this theory cannot work because the police are on top of their job. 
The Osun State Commissioner of Police, CP Olawale Olokode has assured the public of  thorough investigations,
"...the CP reiterates the commitment of the State Police Command to ensure justice is done; no matter the personality of the person(s) involved in the case or how highly or lowly placed in the society; if found culpable."

Osun State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) seemed to have been in disarray ahead of the 2022 governorship elections with the party polarized into two factions running the race on parallel lines.

On one side of the divide is the incumbent Governor Adegboyega Oyetola who holds the ace with the Chairman and other Excos of the party on his side while the breakaway faction is, The Osun Progressives popularly known as TOP loyal to the former Governor Rauf Aregbesola.
There was counter allegations of assassination by the Oyetola faction against TOP leaders.
Chairman of TOP, Elder Adelowo Adebiyi raised a weighty allegation of assassination against its leaders by Oyetola agents on Monday evening.
Adebiyi said his group has uncovered plot by the IleriOluwa group to assassinate some of its leaders, stating that they have informed the security operatives of the move.

“Information at our disposal now makes it clear that the level of desperation of Governor Oyetola led IleriOluwa group has reached the throats of its leaders and therefore concluded that elimination of TOP leaders will put a stop to our opposition to them.
“It is noteworthy to mention that some of the TOP leaders have been receiving strange calls which started at the weekend. The callers were threatening TOP leaders with assassination as the solution to TOP activities in the state.
“We learnt on inquiry that the Governor’s group, IleriOluwa is jittery of what is likely going to be the outcome of the case instituted by members of the APC who belong to TOP caucus and would not mind if some leaders are killed in order to put a stop to TOP activities.

“We further gathered that the IleriOluwa group got incensed by the entry of Hon Lasun Yusuf’s into the governorship race and concluded that it was TOP activities that gave him the liver to be challenging the second term ambition of Governor Oyetola.”
In a swift reaction, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Ismail Omipidan said those who made the allegation against his Principals should "have their heads examined."
"The statement credited to one Elder Adelowo Adebiyi, a self-styled leader of a certain group within the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in Osun is not only mischievous, but also wickedly calculated at smearing the good name of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, Ismail Omipidan, has said.

Omipidanwent further that, all those behind the malicious and unguarded statement needed to have their heads thoroughly examined to ascertain their mental state.
This is even as he urged Elder Adebiyi and his co-travelers to leave former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Lasun Yusuff out of their devious plot, adding that Lasun’s statement, as widely reported in the media on Monday and Tuesday is a clear indication that he does not share the same thinking with them.
Omipidan further argued that only an unstable mind and character would accuse a person of the Governor’s standing, who in the last three years has not done anything to portray him as a man given to violence or the government he leads, of assassination plot.

He said Elder Adebiyi was among those who led hoodlums to attack members of the APC on August 14, at the State party secretariat where persons were injured.
He added, “The case was incidented at the Police Station by the then Caretaker chairman of the party, Prince Gboyega Famodun, arrests were made and they were duly arraigned before a Magistrate. It took the intervention of Mr. Governor to get him and his co-travelers off the hook.

“Elder Adebiyi is already perceiving another failure on his wild goose chase. This is a man who forged the signatures of other members of the party and lied that they signed the petition to protest the conduct of the Ward Congress. When the lie was bursted , he apologised and pleaded that he be given another chance.
“He knows those who are in the habit of using extra judicial means by deploying non-state actors to deal mercilessly with perceived opponents. This does not fit the person and character of Oyetola. And our elder knows this much.

Meanwhile, the camp of the former Deputy of the House of Representatives, Hon. Lasun Yusuf reacted to his inclusion in the political war between Oyetola and TOP factions.
In his reaction, the Media Aide to Hon. Lasun Yusuff, Professor Aderemi Ajala, said his Principal’s ambition has nothing to do with activities of TOP.

Ajala described TOP members as people who have benefitted from the party and ar hellbent on destroying party. He said nothing in their activities will inspire his Principal.
He said, “what can inspire someone in what TOP members are doing? Rt Hon Lasun Yusuff has at different points dissociated himself from the activities of the group and its financier, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola. In fact, Aregbesola and all TOP members should be apologizing to Lasun Yusuff for what they did to him. So what will now inspire him in what they are doing? Is it the lies they are dishing out? Did they inspire him when he first contested in 2018?”
“Whatever they are doing, they are just seeking relevance. Nothing in TOP can inspire a reasonable politician.”
Ajala said his Principal is a party man and will forever be after the development of the party.

Osun State Police Command on Wednesday arrested the Chairman of Hilton Hotel and Resort, Ile-Ife, Dr Ramon Adegoke Atobatele Adedoyin in connection with the death of MBA student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Mr. Timothy Adegoke.

This arrest was in addition to the six persons already arrested as contained in a Press Release by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Opalola Yemisi Olawoyin.

"Subsequent upon the earlier press release issued in respect of the circumstances surrounding the death of Mr Timothy Adegoke; a masters degree student of OAU who came from Abuja to sit for his examination at the OAU distance learning centre, Moro, Osun State, the Commissioner of Police, CP Olawale Olokode, psc wishes to update the general public that, in addition to the six (6) suspects earlier arrested, the chairman of Hilton Hotel and Resort, Ile-Ife, Dr Ramon Adegoke Atobatele Adedoyin was also arrested on 15th November, 2021.

He is currently in police detention, undergoing interrogation in connection with the case, while awaiting the autopsy report from the hospital.

Final-year student of University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), Salaudeen Waliu, alias Captain Walz of the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Life Sciences,, who assaukted a female lecturer, Mrs Rahmat Zakariyau, has explained the reasons for his action.

University Campus Journalist, an on-campus journal reported that Salaudeen claimed to have gone to the office of the female lecturer to beg her to help wave the mandatory Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) course which he missed due to unforeseen circumstances.
He claimed to have met Mrs Zakariyau numerous times, but all led to negative responses before the last Thursday assault on the lecturer.
Salaudeen Waliu, while speaking to University Campus Journalists, UCJ-Ilorin, claimed that “months before the last Thursday incident, he was arrested and locked up for two months, thereby warranting his inability to attend SIWES duties.”

He said he had gone to Allen Avenue in Ikeja, Lagos State, to meet a friend for the first time. He was waiting for the friend when according to him, he “felt the urge to urinate.”
Salaudeen said he urinated near a car parked by drainage when he was challenged by someone who must have washed the car.
He said he was accused of being a thief and was not allowed to explain himself before a mob descended on him, meted out jungle justice, and handed him over to the police which led to his detention for a period of two months.

The final-year student said after the incident in Lagos, he approached Mrs Zakariyau to explain to her his ordeal but the lecturer said there was no help to offer, except he joined the next set which would result in an extra year.
He said on the fateful Thursday when he entered the lecturer’s office, she ordered him out of her office.
“I got angry, I don’t know what came over me, I started arguing and she told me to leave her office, I told her if I don’t leave, what is she going to do?

“She then threw a mug at me which injured me and I started beating her,” he added.
Salaudeen said the female lecturer did not fight back, so he went on to beat her and later dragged her out of her office to continue the beating.
“I dragged her out and she ran. I chased and kept beating her before people came. I tried to run but was later caught by the school security,” he stated in the security cell of the institution where he was locked up since he was returned from ‘F’ Divisional Police station, Tanke in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.

60-year-old woman who was stabbed to death three years ago had her only daughter raped and murdered in Ondo.

Within three years, a 60-year-old mother, Mrs Yemisi Ajayi and her 20-year-old daughter, Fionna Oluwaseun Ajila, were gruesomely murdered in cold blood at their Akure residence, the Ondo state capital.
The daughter, a model was first to be raped and stabbed to death even while on her menstrual flow by her assailants at their Mary Labake Street off Ijoka Road in the Abusoro area of Akure on October 4, 2018
She was a graduate of Biological Science at Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo.

Sadly, the mother who then raised the alarm over the death of her only child after returning from work to meet her dead has suffered same fate.
Madam Yemisi was stabbed by unknown killers after they reportedly gained entry to her room through the roof of her house located at her Abusoro, in Akure metropolis after relocating from Ijoka following her daughter’s gruesome murder.
She was found in her pool of blood last week Tuesday by a lady she adopted to keep her company after her only child was murdered.

Ironically, while the daughter was stabbed twice on the neck and very close to her private part, her mother was equally stabbed thrice in the stomach. The question asked by people was what did mother and child did to warrant such a gruesome death by their killers.
How daughter was raped, murdered
Recall that the late Oluwaseun was raped before her killers stabbed her to death in 2018.
Her mother was said to have left her at home for work only to return hours later to meet her daughter’s lifeless body on the floor in a pool of blood. She immediately called the attention of the neighbours.
Eyewitnesses said that there were many wounds on her body which indicated that someone must have fought with her inside the room and stabbed her to death.”

Consequently, State Police Command arrested the boyfriend of the deceased, Ebenezer Adedimola following the statement made by the deceased mother.
She reportedly told police detectives that she suspected her deceased daughter’s boyfriend because he had a misunderstanding with her then and in the morning of that day, he called her (Ajayi) on the telephone several times to know her whereabouts.
The mother said the boyfriend probably wanted to know whether she (Ajayi) was not at home in order to go and carry out the dastardly act.

She struggled with her killer before she was stabbed severally with the knife which the killer allegedly picked from the kitchen in the house. The families of the victim and the suspect have been friends for more than seven years and attended same church until the suspect’s father established his own church.
Family sources confirmed that the victim was stabbed on her neck, abdomen and close to her private part ostensibly while struggling with her killer.
The noodles she prepared to eat and a glass of water were said to have been found on the table in the apartment.

The knife with which the victim was stabbed, a blood-stained underwear and a menstrual pad were discovered under the mattress inside the room where her lifeless body was found by her mother.
The victim was said to be a virgin while a source said that she had declined sexual advances from the prime suspect since they started dating.
This had reportedly caused friction between them to the extent that the victim’s mother had to intervene and told the boyfriend to exercise patience until they got married before having sex.

The victim also reportedly expressed fear that she wanted to opt out of the relationship because she suspected that the boyfriend may have joined a gang of online fraudsters.
Family sources told Vanguard that Seun’s mother impressed it on the suspect not to trouble her daughter anymore on his sexual demand.
The suspect was alleged to have insisted on his demand until they parted for a while but later reunited after he reportedly promised to wait until they get married.

Police detectives later arrested the boyfriend, Ebenezer Adejumola following the statement by the victim’s mother.
The boyfriend however denied killing the victim saying there was a break in their relationship a few months back because of some issues but later reunited.
The suspect said he could not have killed her because they had no issues that would have led him to commit such dastardly act of murder.
The Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu three years ago gave an order to the Police in the State to fish out the killers of Ajila Seun.

“The Governor asked the State Police Command to go after the killers to ensure that the deceased and her family got justice,” the chief press secretary said.
The decreased boyfriend who was the prime suspect arraigned at the Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Akure on October 22, 2018, on a two-count charge was later acquitted and freed from Olokuta Medium Prison in Akure where he was remanded for allegedly killing the girlfriend.

Chief Magistrate B. Yakubu had ordered the suspect to be remanded at Olokuta Medium Prison in Akure and adjourned the case to January 22,2019 pending advice from Department of Public Prosecution DPP. Reports had it that the suspect was released in March 2019 based on the recommendations of the DPP.
Mother too hacked to death three years after
tongues continued to wag over the gruesome murder of the mother of the deceased model in Akure exactly three years after. Reports had it that her killers trailed her to her new apartment, entered through the roof and stabbed her thrice, leaving her to die.
Her corpse was discovered the following morning by the lady she adopted when she woke up and went to her room for the morning devotion.

Although, the State Police Command saw no correlation between the killings, family members of the deceased said “there are more to the incidents than meet the eyes. Speaking with Vanguard in confidence, a member of the family said “we suspect foul play in the two killings of the daughter and mother.
“We want the police to do a thorough investigation. It should be extended to the murder of Seun, three years ago and not limited to this latest killing.
“What were the offences of these innocent people? The only daughter was murdered in cold blood three years ago and while the wound was yet to heal, they came again to terminate the life of the old woman.
“This life is wicked. If the police fail to do their job and bring killers to book, we will ask God to do justice to the matter”, she said.

Contacted, the State Command’s spokesperson, Funmi Odunlami said an investigation was ongoing into the matter. Odunlami said that “the corpse has already been deposited in a mortuary and the police are investigating to unravel the motive behind her killing”.
