jumper524: So earlier last year, my dad decided to go into yam business. The most common in my area kuje Abuja to be precise.
Since we're just starting, we bought seedlings worth of 40k. We later found out that seedlings are more expensive and scarce during farming/planting period. We got the land for free We paid farmers #20 per ridges and we dug about 500ridges. Meaning. #20*500= 10,000
Total money spent on investment was approximately#60,000 plus running cost.
The farmers were paid 6k to harvest the whole yam. Those guys started as early as 6am and we're done by 2pm just 3 of them.
Truck that packed it was paid 1k.
Pic 1 and 2, the big size yams we want to sell. Those buyers are pricing 45k
Pic 3 are the ones for home and family consumption. Any remainder would be added to seedlings.
Pics 4, the small yams we want to preserve as seedlings.
Think we got a lot from our investment in the end. you are doing well |

Virgohills: So it happened on the 22nd of January 2021.
I wanted to buy a Toyota camry 2013 for a client who already sent me some money to buy it at budget of 3.9m or 4m+ if seen. So I was in search of this car here and there. I checked all car platforms then I saw a red Camry 2012. I call the number (I had no true caller on my phone as at this time. We spoke briefly, said she will get back.
A woman later reached out to me saying we just spoke concerning the camry, that one has been sold. But I have another one at Berger. How much do you want you spend I said 3.8m even if its 011 or 012 its ok.
She said fine. Start heading for mile two. When you get there call ife 07039281760 he is my boy and he waiting for you at the office. I called. He told me to drop at UBA in Berger that he will pick me up. When I got to UBA i dropped called and he came. Then i followed him to see the car his madam said i should come and buy.
I saw the Camry it was super neat. I sent it to my client. He loved it. He just called said I should go ahead and buy it for him. I said okay.
Actually the car cost due to its grade is around 5.5million. But the person the phone who led me here the supposed madam of ife assured me not to worry that the car belongs to her and her husband and she has spoken with her husband that I can make payment to her and she will sort it out.
Meanwhile she already told the people there whom are the owners of the cars that I am just a mechanic that I came to help her confirm car and that she is the one pay. That they should let me test drive the car. congrats man ani sagbako oooo |

OpatolaEsq: I was named in a will: so what next?
First, congratulations you made it to the final 11. Now what next?
Take a cup of cold water, relax and be patient, it might take a while. There are some intricate process involved.
*1. After the will is read, if the will stated the executors, then the executor starts work. If there is no Will or the Will did not state an executor, then an application is made to the Court to assign an executor.
After the will his read, the executor or administrator will make an application for probate. Where an application for Grant of probate is made, the the registrar waits for some months for objections or caveats to be filed.
The executor is expected to prove the Will. This means that it's due execution must be proved, even if the witnesses to the making of the Will have to be called in other to satisfy the registrar that the Will contains proper attestion before admitting it to probate.
Where the registrar is satisfied that the will was duly executed and that the maker of the will made it with knowledge of its content, the registrar will grant probate.
*2. Collation of the Estate: This is the identification, collection, collation and valuation of the deceased's assets, management of all estate assets.
Only after all of these matters have been addressed can the Executor/Administrator proceed to distribute the remaining assets to beneficiaries. Depending on the size of the estate, this process can take months, or, in many cases, one or more years to complete.
*3. Settlement of all just debts, liabilities and payment of necessary estate tax.
*4. Then the estate and properties can now be distributed to those entitled to it in the will
The distribution of the estate of the deceased to the beneficiaries might even be more delayed if the validity of the Will is contested.

Family › Re: Three Experiences That Make Me Think I'm Married To The Wrong Person by Solexgzy(m): 11:42am On Jan 22, 2021 |
DEmejioba1: I got married in 2018,since then I have been battling with some unimaginable experiences with my wife even when I thought I married to a religious lady.
To cut the story short,
Prior to our marriage, things was not so good enough for me but because of age consideration of both of us we decided to wed with the help of our families.
The first thing that happened which caught me thinking afterward was that during our make up to wedding,my wife insisted that she's receiving 50k dowry which she knew I wouldn't be able to get it just shortly before the wedding. I told her that there is no way I could afford it then that she should reduce it may be to 20k, she said I should not worry that things will be sorted out. A day to the wedding she told me that when it's segment for dowry collection that she would pronounce that she had collected it. I said no problem. Since then I have not been able to pay it because she wants full cash. Now, any slide misunderstanding she refers to it.
Secondly, immediately after the marriage,I was left with 60k which I thought we would manage to get a room and a parlour apartment for a start, just to do according to my pocket in my present rent house. But my wife insisted that we should let 2 bedroom flat at 100k but knowing fully that my source of income would not maintain it couple with other obligations that I would be discharging. She said, she would lend me 40k. Thank God I was able to pay her the money. But still thinking over wasteful of almost 50k,while 150k can secure a land for bulding house in my area.
Thirdly, few months after our marriage. We were having misunderstanding and I carelessly said if the marriage can not work it better we go our separate ways, my wife holds on this statement and continue saying that she just need me to say it twice more and the marriage is over.
But I used to think over all these with other ones that I cant write, then, I ask myself if truly she loves me or may be am with wrong person.
What is your thought about this? you are not in control because of your pocket |

Politics › Re: INEC Demonstrated The Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) In Abuja Today by Solexgzy(m): 11:30am On Sep 29, 2020 |
BluntNigerian: BRIEF REMARKS BY THE HONOURABLE CHAIRMAN, INDEPENDENT NATIONAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION, PROFESSOR MAHMOOD YAKUBU, AT THE DEMONSTRATION OF ELECTRONIC VOTING MACHINES (EVMs) AT THE CONFERENCE ROOM, INEC HEADQUARTERS, ABUJA, ON MONDAY 28TH SEPTEMBER 2020
1. I welcome you all to this occasion which is another giant step in the Commission’s continuous effort to deepen electoral integrity in Nigeria through the deployment of technology. Over the years, the Commission has been automating the critical pillars of the process. The biometric register of voters has been updated continuously. At the moment, the INEC register of voters is the largest data base of citizens in Nigeria. In addition, the combination of biometric voters’ cards commonly known as the Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) and the Smart Card Reader (SCR) have revolutionised the accreditation of voters during elections. More recently, the introduction of a number of portals has facilitated the seamless nomination of candidates for elective offices by political parties as well as the accreditation of observers and the media. Most significantly, the Commission now uploads polling unit level results in real-time on Election Day to a portal for public view. These are significant innovations that have deepened the transparency and credibility of elections and the electoral process in Nigeria.
2. Today, the Commission is taking yet another decisive step towards the full automation of the electoral process. For some time now, the Commission has been working on the deployment of technology in voting during elections to replace the current manual system which is tedious and requires enormous logistics to deliver huge quantities of printed materials and a large number of ad hoc staff to administer the process. To this end, the Commission developed the specifications of the functions required of the machine. After extensive discussion and review, the Commission took the decision to invite original manufacturers of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) around the world for a virtual or practical demonstration of the machines.
3. Over 40 companies that indicated interest will demonstrate to the Commission how their IT solutions meet our specifications. I wish to emphasise that this is only a demonstration that will enable the Commission to evaluate the available technology and where necessary finetune our specifications before proceeding to the next stage which will involve the participation of stakeholders. Details of the next steps will be given at the end of the demonstrations.
4. The Commission is aware that Nigerians want us to deepen the use of technology in elections. Let me reassure Nigerians that the Commission is committed to expediting the process leading to the deployment of EVMs in elections in earnest.
5. I thank you for your attention.

Sleevia: From all indications, Obaseki has won this election but two things stood out unexpectedly
1. It was generally peaceful
2. There was zero federal might influence.
What do you think is the reason behind this?
I would hazard a guess and I am open to correction.
A: The U.S visa ban restricted federal influence, which Oshiomole, Ganduje and Tinubu were banking on. I was on twitter when I read that order has been given that there should be no interference in the election. This was why, after votes at the PU were done, all security agents, from Army to Police and others LEFT.
B. The Oba of Benin meeting. Before the election, Oba invited both contestants for a meeting where he specifically warned against violence in whatever form. I often read from outsiders that Oba of Benin is just like any oba out there but what majority do not know is the weight the Oba of Benin carries among his people and this election further proved that.
Since the APC took power, this is the most peaceful election we have had...
The question is WHY?
Please join the discussion and I would like to learn from other persons and correct me where you feel I am wrong. US ban oooo |

SecretSpy666: I registered on this platform to tell my story and encourage other Nigerian youths who may have humble background like me, not to give up.
I did one of the craziest wedding in human history. I can’t stop laughing now as God has changed our story
COST OF THE WEDDING IN DETAIL: Statutory marriage (court wedding) – took place in December, 2015
The court wedding was contracted at the marriage registry of Kano State, opposite Emir Sanusi’s palace, Kano municipal. Here are what I spent: 1) Wedding Certificate fee N8,000 2) Wedding ring N1,500 3) Clothes for the wedding for both of us (including sewing) N13, 600 4) Two crates of multina N5000 5) One carton of Digestive biscuit N600 6) Transport for both of us (kake napep) N200 (to and fro)
Total: N 28,900
No reception
Few invitees and no much celebrations
TRADITIONAL WEDDING: I spent about 35,000 including clothes.
HOW IT STARTED
I was posted to Kano for my NYSC in 2014 August, Batch B. I fell in love with this beautiful lady and we had similar historical background. Before I completed my NYSC, I got admission to Bayero University for my master degree programme (march, 2015). I didn’t have what it takes for marriage and there was no help from anywhere. I really wanted to dump her and focus on my study but she never let me go.
She told me she want to go for master too, we hurriedly applied for her during the late application period, she was lucky she got admission to study community health. She took me to her parents who are based in Kaduna but are from Okrika in River state. Her parents are educated and gave me good advice and encourage us to get serious with our studies. The father told me to pay N5,000 as bride price and I spent about 30,000 for a very quiet traditional wedding.
In Kano, we live in a single room (self contain) opposite Bayero University gate, going to school together. I started a part time teaching with Al-Furkaan Science Academy with 18,000 salary and also work it for her to be teaching there too for 15,000 salary. The school management did not know that we are couple. Some teachers there were even trying to talk to her…. After our coursework, as if God was waiting for us to complete the coursework, boom!!! I was called by an agro allied company based in kano for interview. I applied online for the job. I got the job and we were both happy!!!
Three months later, my wife got a job with an NGO working in communities in Kano and Jigawa. Not long after, we moved to a two bedroom flat and got a car. We had a baby boy now and building a house in Otukpo, Benue state.
THIS IS MY TESTIMONY…… Start little and God we increase it… I was so ashamed then and the people laughing at us them are now coming to begg us for money and support.
Now my wife is saying we should do a flamboyant, expensive, and gorgeous church wedding and invite all the people we invited during the low-key court and traditional marriage...and invite all friends, foes and all the people laughing at us at that time.... mhen this is a jackpot |
