Yesterday, I was asking someone a question…

Why is it that humans cry after re-watching an emotional movie?

Not that you haven't watched it before, you have… you already know the end result,
Plus, you understand perfectly that this is a MOVIE and not REAL in essence, it's been acted out ,yet you still couldn't hold the tears.

Ok… I know the fastest thing to say is "one is been emotional" but I don't think that justifies the repetition of tears.

But here's a simple conclusion I can draw…

The brain can't really differentiate between "reality and make believe"

It only processes information sent to it, whether true or not… it only acts upon it.

So that tells you how possible it is to configure your mind to exhibit exactly what you want it to exhibit.

It explains how you can decide your experiences by the information you feed it.

It explains how you can initiate patterns by simply acting in a particular way…

Just today alone, I've gotten so many messages from MTN about some cool data offer, but have been dismissing it,Infact some without even going through it.

You know why?

MTN doesn't currently give a cool browsing experience like Airtel does… The network seems to be weaker in my area compared to Airtel.

And so no matter the fool offer I get, it doesn't get my attention simply because of the network ish.

That tells me something, No matter how cool you offer/product is, if marketed to the wrong audience, it'll only suck…There's no two ways about that. Hence, the reason why you need to position your offer before the right audience.

And something related to that is this, learn to take some time to ask yourself why some things easily gets your attention.

Perhaps,while scrolling through your feeds, you suddenly see something that made you pause…

Take some time to understand "why it got your attention" , ask what it is to learn from it…

Doing this alone will get your brain configured to understand Marketing all the more which in turn will bring you more sales.

But here's a simple conclusion I can draw…

The brain can't really differentiate between "reality and make believe"

It only processes information sent to it, whether true or not… it only acts upon it.

So that tells you how possible it is to configure your mind to exhibit exactly what you want it to exhibit.

It explains how you can decide your experiences by the information you feed it.

It explains how you can initiate patterns by simply acting in a particular way…

So, if you really want a particular experience… all you've got to do is feed your mind with related information. Period.

For there to be a desire to buy your product or get your service,there has to be effective communication in your marketing message

Most times we talk and talk in our sales message without COMMUNICATING

Communication has to be two sided, first party passing a message and the second party receiving/acknowledging the message, but it's lacking in many of the sales copies/sales messages out there, hence, the reason for low sales.

Take for example, there's a difference between writing…

E.g 1
If you're currently feeling headache… I have something special for you that will drive it out

And

E.g 2
If you continuously experience banging head,that even makes you restless and keeps you awake all night, you've used all possible dru.gs but still no change… I have something special for you…

The first gives a particular/generic need to their experience, while the second explains the symptoms/experience itself.

You need to understand,that there are times when your audience don't really know the NAME of what they're experiencing it or why…


But when you take time to bleed out their experience before giving it a name, you get them hooked the more….



Same with this…

E.g 1: If you're currently having financial strain and not having enough to live by… this is for you


E.g 2: You're at a point in your life where there's just barely enough to live by,to get 3 square meal per day is so hard that you can't even remember the last time you had one. Not that you're lazy, infact you currently run 3 jobs just to keep up with expenses, but still it's ever barely enough… if this sounds like you, pay attention to what I'm about to share with you.


Any difference?

Effective communication requires you taking time to appeal to their emotions,and also sense of reasoning…

It requires you getting them to be nodding to waht you say or getting them to agree with you.


Only then, can you get them really interested in what you have to offer and ultimately make sales.

When you are writing any type of advert, always remember to target one person with one goal in mind.

Fix that person in your head before you begin to write. Once you have that person firmly pictured in your mind, Write directly to ONLY him/her.

You must have taken time to adequately profile your audience…

You must have given him a name, and found everything that needs to known about him

His likes, his hidden fears,his greed, his struggles, his pains, his age range, demographics, his hobbies, his income, his location etc.

When you have properly profiled him, then you've got to fix him solely before you, and then craft out your marketing message.

Truth is, if you've taken time to adequately profile him, knowing what to say and how to get his attention, plus getting him to take specific action won't be a problem.

But first, do your homework.

There's something I have noticed about myself…

I find it very hard knowing what movies to see…

If I go through it randomly and I'm not seeing action scenes, most likely I leave it straight up

If the first few scenes doesn't look catchy, I find it difficult going through.

So what I do is simple… when I see people recommend movies, I save the title somewhere, so when I feel like relaxing, I check to see it.

As interesting as money heist was, I remember going through the first episode and dumping it, same with game of thrones,

It looked boring at first to me...

But I was forced to go back and go through it after a while after I saw many people RECOMMENDING it…

I went through the comment section, people attesting to how great it was, those were the things that made me go through,and really I enjoyed them.

Two lessons to pick from there when crafting your sales message/campaign

1.The first few lines/creatives of your marketing message matters a lot, it determines if people will actually pause to pay attention to what you have to say(it's one reason why I enjoyed "the originals" movie, it was captivating right from start)

You want to make sure it's really captivating, no matter how loaded and helpful your product/service is, if you can't do this, it's a waste

2. Social proof/recommendations matters a lot…
Sometimes what you need may just be someone having some level of influence recommending your product/service and then boom… sales yapaa

People love to know people have actually used your service and was awesome…

People want to be sure that what you're saying is really true with social proof from real persons.

Now get back to work.

If a particular gadget is coughing out cool cash for you, how would you treat the gadget?
Recklessly or with care and caution… The answer is obvious.

Your mind that's coming up with ideas, offers and better ways of achieving stuffs, you have to understand that you need to show it lots of care, by feeding it and caring for it… this would also mean weaning it off unnecessary info or junks

You feed your mind with good books, excellent information and you wean it off from stuffs that could affect your mental sanity…

If the mind will never run out of ideas, strategies, then there has to be a continuous feeding of that mind.

Same goes with your body, your mind is as good as the state of your body…

If the body is in pains,the mind is affected, your performance is affected…so don't just feed your mind at the detriment of proper care for the body.

Both the mind and the body has to be given optimum care for peak delivery.

Rejection doesn't have to mean the end of a sale or conversation..

In selling, it's most likely that you'll get more "No's" than "yes"

But it doesn't have to mean, the end… Rejection could mean there's something you're doing wrong, it could also mean you need to try another angle, and it could mean issues from the end of the prospect that you may not have say over.

Taking time to evaluate and decipher reasons for the rejection is key to making sales.

When the reason for a rejection is properly understood and worked on, it can be the reason for the massive approval and sales you get.

There shouldn't be shame in rejection, it's "abnormally normal"... Whichever way, sales has to be made,and until it's made you keep at it.


And one funny thing is that, it just takes a "yes" to make up for all of the "No's"...

Try - fail - learn - retry

That's the flow. In the journey of massive sales and success, it's part of the package.
Use it wisely.

There are just some things you'll never understand/appreciate until you start implementing.

There's always a key difference between someone who has the knowledge of something compared to someone who's actively involved in the experience.

And that's the reason why, there's usually remarkable difference between someone who supppsedly knows the A-Z of a business and someone who's into the business already. They'll explain it to you differently.

As good as getting knowledge is, you have to be careful from where you're getting the knowledge/information from.

You've got to be sure, it's from someone who doesn't just understand the nitty gritty of the business but who's actively involved in it, someone who's far ahead of you.

Don't just be after "less price" but after "quality"

The kind of wisdom you will glean from someone who is actively involved, someone who has made mistakes and learnt how to be better is unquantifiable, it's just priceless.

When you hear someone has done millions of dollars in a particular business, that's someone to learn from…

The point is, pay the price to really learn from an expert and stop seeing the price to pay as an EXPENSE but as an INVESTMENT. It definitely will pay off at the end.

Something happened to me yesterday,

I took a public transport, the price was fair,on getting to my destination,gave the rider cash expecting to get my change, it was then he told me he had no change.

At that point I was already in a hurry to wait around while he finds it, so I left it with him, now that was me paying twice my tfare, but at the same time I couldn't wait any further.

And you know what?

A part of me felt cheated… Not because I couldn't spare the cash, or if I had taken Uber wouldn't have paid far more than that.

But still, I felt cheated because I already knew the price charged for such, paying more for same distance wasn't a good deal to me… it took a while to waive the feeling.

So here is the morale…

"Your prospects aren't so much after lowest price, but they are after what is perceived as a good deal"

It's all about perception…
No one loves to pay more for same thing unless you supercharge the offer

The amount you get a designer shoe in aba or around isn't the same price in a cool supermarket and still people patronize the expensive one.

So before putting a price tag on your product or service,take time to supercharge the offer, dissect and analyze the benefits.

Your prospects always love to FEEL they ripped you off and not them feeling you ripped them off.

Make the offer perceptively good and see more sales pour in
