Thanks wislet!
I have actually dedicated a week to carry out the test you recommended.
I am confident of making a headway in this situation.

@jaybee
I am 25 actually.My dad has been over-protective of me right from my boyhood days.I think it is due to the fact that i'm the only male child he has.
I have told him countless times that I can make my own decisions,but he would end up telling me that he knows what is best for me.
He is a very disciplined man and he expects his children to respect him.That was the way we were brought up.
I think I know what to do.

I think I would do as you say.
@pendo

@marc anthony;
Thanks!
You know as the firstborn,your marriage is taken rather too seriously.I think i will have to seek my mum's help in this matter.
About our political discussions;
I tend to get pissed,when diasporeans try to enforce their views about Nigeria on us, without having a feel of the latest happening in Nigeria.
I know I sound like a hypocrite right now,but that was just how I felt at that time.
I apologise for my unduely harsh behaviour.

Well,I am sorry for the seemingly unneccessary academic 'stories'.I felt it was neccessary,to depict how much of a help the lady has been to me.
@lola.luv
my father just told me about his decision last week.I never knew about it until last week.(probably due to the fact that i was travelling abroad)
@vikin;
you can believe whatever you want to believe.That is irrelevant.
All I want is your advice,since you have a knowledge of 'mathematical solutions to romantic problems'
Romance › Torn Between The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea:what Do I Do? by solomon111(op): 11:36pm On Jan 08, 2012
I'm really confused right now.
I am the first born in a family of 5,and my father has warned me not to get romantically involved with any woman outside the delta-igbo, or other igbo groups.We are delta-Igbos.
I happen to be a chemical engineer,and on a masters degree scholarship to study at Oxford,sponsored by shell,as I am a first class graduate(The best graduating engineering student in my uni actually).I have this yoruba lady whom I have been dating right through the university,and
she has actually been the pillar behind my academic success as she encouraged me to take my studies dilligently,even when I was busy partying away on campus.
She singlehandedly bought me a West-african Engineering competition form for #20,000,in which I actually did well & came out as the second best engineering student in West-africa with a price reward of €30,000.
I have actually wanted to propose to her,but I Can't due to my father's threat of dis- owning me.
I am scheduled to go to England this year,and she has been longing for me to make the relationship more concrete.
Now, i have other Igbo female friends who are equally beautiful,intelligent and sweet,which I could fall in love with easily,but I dont want to hurt her.
Should I call my father's bluff?(I am dead,if I try this),or should I break up with her?(guilt would kill me!).
I respect my father alot,but i also love my woman!

@9jacrusader
you are very wrong,if u think the SS will suffer if Nigeria splits.
The only states more developed than Delta, rivers,and akwa-ibom in Nigeria is lagos and abuja.
Infact due to their small population, there will be rapid economic growth.
Almost every mineral resources you can think of, is in the SS,especially delta state and not only oil.
Some of Nigeria's best minds in all fields of human endeavours in Nigeria and the diaspora are SSerns.
The likes of GEJ will not rule us again,as we have learnt our lesson,and will only happen if the likes of TINUBU,BODE GEORGE,OBJ keep ruling the SW.
Lastly,the only SSers with yoruba heritage are the Itshekiris and some Edo tribes.

She passed through Lagos because the airport officials are more interested in bribes than they are in screening for drugs. Bribe those pricks and you can even carry a bomb unto a Nigerian airplace.
Nigerians are too negative,despite the fact that lots of drugs mules have been caught.She was caught by the same people you are trying to villify.
Drug mules infilterate the U.S airports on daily bases,but their airport officials are not being crucified.

I know Nigerians ladies are very money conscious(who in the world isn't).
But i respect a lady who knows how to sacrifice monetary gains for somethings more important.And I assume that she is one of those few ladies i respect.

@ topic, that's unfortunate.

South African women or THIS South African WOMAN? Seriously. Quit with the generalizations and ignorance. There are a lot of desperate Nigerian women who are selling their bodies abroad and home not to mention some who have/do use themselves as drug 'mules' but do you see me labeling ALL Nigerian women? No, that would be well. . .reetarded tongue.
Please stop censoring people's words.Are you south-african? And What do you know about south-africa?
And who says Nigerian women are not desperate nowadays?
Pls this is not the romance section,intellectual discourse takes place here.

I am from delta state.I dont think anyone in delta state want war on our land.We dont want our state to become another maiduguri,after years of accelerated devt.So I think the blast was carried out by some islamic fanatics and not deltans.If there will be war,it should not begin in the Niger-delta.
We are simply too advanced,militarily,politically,economically,and socially, to make such a mistake.

financial stability cannot be substituted for physical presence and attention.not ever!

As the medical doctors would say,'you cant eat your cake and have it'.
If you want to have the comfortably life you ladies dream of, then you got to make a little sacrifice.
Besides the travelling thing is only temporary.All things being equal:The longer time he works in the firm,the faster he climbs the company ladder,and the less frequent the travels.

Stop displaying your ignorance.The name that the Israelites called God is 'YAHWEH'.
It is only arabs that called their god 'allah',and the jews are not arabs.If there were arabs,then the chinese are arabs too.
Politics › Re: Boko Haram Spokeman - Nigeria Belongs To ALLAH by solomon111(m): 9:59pm On Dec 27, 2011
There is no similiarity whatsoever between Jehovah and allah.
I have studied the bible in Hebrew,aramaic and greek,and allah was never mentioned.
According to Archaeological and genealogical proofs which emanated from the study of ancient arab,allah was a term used to denote an ancient arabic idol.
Contrary to beliefs on NL,the jews had no relationship or connection religionwise with the arabs,infact they considered themselves God's chosen people and saw everyone around them as pagans,so they was no possibility of islamic similiarities with the jewish religion or with xtianity.
Scientists and archaeologists have tried harmonising both religions,both failed woefully.

my present boify is an engineer.
Though he earns quite much,he travels a lot and its not fun at all.
His is not the kind of job i want for a partner.
True,some Engineering jobs can get you to travel alot,especially off-shore oil exploratory engineering,and civil engineering and some other engineering field.It also depends on the type of engineering firm he works in.
But all in all engineers are fun to be around with due to their exposure,charistma and confident,though they can be too analytical sometimes.
Just take his travelling alot as a sacrifice on your part for a life of financial stability, that is if you can.

Christianity Etc › Re: Who Says Virginity Lost Can Never Be Regained? by solomon111(m): 5:32pm On Dec 25, 2011
Believe it or not,virgins are special, not only to man but also to God. I know of ladies who were virgins and served the lord with everything they had,and it turned out that they never really spend too much time praying,before receiving answers to prayers,at least the ones I know.It was like they had a very unique bond with heaven and were God's battle axes.They are vessels unto honour,just because they refuse to be victims of fornication,which is a defiler of the temple of the holy-Ghost.Indeed the spiritual benefits of virginity makes it imperative for people to keep their virginity.
