What bunch of rubbish am i hearing from some people? Why get married if you do not find it neccessary to bear your hubby's surname? It seems you people are taking this female independence thing too far.The people you are trying to copy have divorce rates as high as 50% and you people still want to emulate their marital ideologies.WTH. Some of the most powerful women in the world find it neccessary to bear their husbands surname, from the likes of 'michelle obama' to 'hiliary clinton', to the brazillian president 'dilma rouseff' and even the german chancellor 'angela merkel' and e.t.c.Very few women in history match them in intelligence and achievements. These women have all the qualities needed to be independent, but still find it neccessary to bear their husband's name. It is indeed true that empty barrels make the loudest noise.I just hope that majority of naija women dont have the same ideologies with some female posters on nairaland, else it wont be worth flying all the way from Europe to get married to a Nigerian lady raised in Nigeria. |
I think I rate mine an 8.59. Graduated as the best student in the chemical engineering dept and also in the faculty of Engineering as the best student with a CGPA of 4.94. Won €30,000 in a west african Engineering competition as the second best student in west africa. Got three job offers from shell, chevron,& schlumberger. Shell also gave me a masters scholarship in the University of cambridge, United kingdom. So far so good, the future is bright. I hope 2012 would be more pleasant. |
I am indeed surprised by the ethnic bigotry of some people here. The universities mentioned belong to us all. I am indeed surprised that uniben is on that list, despite having one of the best teaching hospital in the country, second only to that of U.I. They remain the first and only west african uni to have successfully carried out a stem cell operation, and the third university in africa. They have consistently had major breakthroughs in the medical field. They have some of the best lecturers in the medical field in the country, and they have some of the best medical facilities in the country.Unfortunately the population thing is not helping matters.Due to the fact that they are the best school in the south-south, they tend to have population explosion, and they are rendered helpless due to the fact that a large chunk of the applicants score very high.UNIBEN have suspended admission into medicine for two years to create a considerable equilibrium between the student and the lecturer ratio. So I think it is just a temporary anomaly that will be corrected ASAP. |
I think it is 99.9% fufilled |
CRY ME A RIVER E be like say you never jam Well it is only on Nairaland we see like of you. All my life in warri ( majority illaje and itsekiris) I have never seen denial. Please and please go research on Iwere state and how it joins the SW. It not I would post something that would blow your mind away about the politics of Itsekiri people and delta. Lastly, there are illaje in dleta state that contribute 10 % of the total oil revenue in delta
your grandiose delusion is outstanding,I must say!.I will repeat that yoruba people have no say whatsoever in Delta state.Could you give me the name of anybody in delta state politics with a yoruba name? That alone is enough to disqualify him/her.Please do not assume too much of the yoruba people.I dont care where the Itshekiris came from, but one thing i know is that they are no longer yorubas. And please the fact the ilajes contribute to our I.G.R do not make them deltans. The igbos in lagos contribute far much more but are not classified as yorubas. Thank you. |
Gadols:Madam,I am a xtian, and wud not join anyone in insulting oyedepo. But your attitude is not helping matters at all.It is very unbiblical to praise a man of God,the way you have been doing. You are disgracing xtianity. It is a tragedy that at this age of your life, your biblical knowledge and mental faculty is almost zero.I am ashamed for you.SMH |
Solomon11 you are mistaken. I'm not from delta state but i've heard of lukumi before now. However, i agree they arent well known and this is probably because they speak more than one language. I believe the yoruba is considered their dialect and they also speak whatever language they consider a lingua franca. But they've been in delta for generations.
Well, your argument probably has a degree of validity, but that dosent mean that the yoruba people has any claim to delta state in the possibility of an event like the 'sovereign national conference' . |
lagcity:It seems your ability to engage in a constructive discourse without insults have been tampered with.It is your likes that 'brand yoruba' people with a bad name.Useless imbecelic pig. |
I am a deltan, and in all my stay in delta, i have never heard of any 'olukumi' community. If they exists, they are probably a small insignificant group,as no significantly large tribe in delta state would claim yoruba ancestry.Even the itshekiris who seems to have a language similiarity with yoruba will vehemently deny any link to a yoruba ancestry.Sorry, the yoruba language or people has no place in delta state. |
Ujujoan:You are very correct. It seems every woman that was termed 'barren' in the bible later gave birth to great men.It is like their womb was preserved or something.A son can be worth more than 100 sons.Indeed,Even Jesus said John was the greatest prophet ever born. |
Are all the replies on this thread not further proof that 99% of naija ladies are broke. All they know is how to receive. They cant even believe the story, because they know they are incapable of giving a guy anything expensive. When someone, now comes here to raise a thread about naija ladies and their broke-a$s behaviour, they would start screaming, "generalization".SMH |
It baffles me when all this muslims come here to cast aspersion on the bible, when their quran is more or less a novel with so many scientific and genealogical fallacies. My fellow scientists usually have a laugh when they try to analyze the quran. This muslims even use the same bible to validate their teachings, whereby xtians do not see any meaningful use of the quran(it is worthless). @mantra It is time you stop looking at the bible with your carnal and unspiritual reasoning. When God said "let us create man",he was talking to Jesus and the holyspirit.I dont know why God would need an athmosphere to talk when he is a spirit and the beings in heaven are spirits. Moreover heaven is not a physical location,it is spiritual. It is not subject to physical laws of physics and chemistry. So trying to sound intelligent when you are not. I am a scientist of first class repute, and I can tell you authoritatively that every genealogical and scientific facts in the bible are proving to be very accurate everyday, following researches being conducted by scientists worldwide on daily bases. You can go online to validate the accuracy of the bible. |
What makes you feel that your religion is better than islam or that the quote about Jesus being the ONLY way is even true. Please, don't conclude on things beyond your understanding. Sorry, any religion that despise the dominion of the son of God Jesus is a mistake. It is written in Acts 4:12;"Neither is there salvation in any other. For there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we may be saved" .It is more than a religious thing, it is a personal decision.Anybody or group of people who rejects the lordship and dominion of the Lord Jesus christ is hell-bound.It is as simple as that, take it or leave it.
|
@denitro I beg to differ. The third heaven is the kingdom of GOD which paul saw.The second heaven is the abode of principalities and powers in high places which was spoken of in Ephesians chapter 6.The prince of persia was part of the principalities and powers that hindered angel Gabriel when he was delivering answers to Daniel's prayers in Daniel chapter 11.They are in charge of nations in the world today. They are largely responsible for the chaos in different parts of the world today. The first heaven is the region that contains the sun, moon and stars. |
@aparche. You are very correct. But still dosent change the fact that God dose not require a physical space to exist because the Bible say even the heaven of heavens cannot contain him. |
@kimberluge When i mean intelligent,i mean seeing the world from a perspective that differs 4rm making love everyday of the week, having unneccessary dates, wasting time in different cinemas in the lagos, wasting money buying blackberries&brazillian hair, spending time talking swt nonsense, instead of investing in their future. As 4 those ladies that play men, their case are usually pathetic because they would have wasted their time playing away the right guys and end up with a moronic douche-bag,who does not know how strategize 4, 2moro and only wants to have fun, at the end of the day. |
michelin89:Yes you are right, especially in africa. But things are changing though. |
michelin89:I am very sorry if I sound like a 'sexist'.That was not my intention. It is just that I have seen more relationships fail because the man was too 'intelligent',even though i agree that it goes both ways. |
I think the reason is that the intellectual has seen that being logical is far better than being emotional driven. His daily activities is a proof that some of the most shallow people in the world are very emotional. He has seen that if everybody were very emotional, the world would still remain where it was 3000 yrs ago.The people that call the shots in the world today are very logical and may have consciously unconsciously surpressed their emotions, which is why they have remain relevant.I have always maintained that the best relathonships are always between two intellectuals, they flow together intellectually,no-one is left behind in their discussions, and they tend to achieve much in relatively short time.Unfortunately very few ladies have an acceptable level of I.Q to have a successful relationship with an intellectually gifted individual(no offence). |
@the_seeker GOD did not kill his son.He only allowed him to be killed by the jews for the salvation of mankind. There was an eclipse, earthquakes, opening of tombs of dead people, all this to show how sad God was when he lost his son temporarily to death. Jesus even told the soldiers that came to arrest him that he could ask for angelic protection and it would be granted him by God,but then our redemption would have been vandalized. Adam brought sin to the world.Adam was a perfect man, that was why it required the sacrifice of a perfect(sinless) man to redeem us.The bible even called Jesus the last Adam.Remember that the Israelites sacrificed animals to atone for their sins,Jesus was the sacrificial lamb. The lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world.By his death he created a direct link to God for us.He became our mediator, our high priest. We can access the heavenly holy of holies(the presence of God) without fear of judgement as long as we remain holy unto the lord.Remember, he did not remain dead,he rose again!HALLELUJAH! |
IYA NGBALI:God is invisible but at the same time,he has a form.We were made in his form.God has hands, eyes, face legs e.t.c.we humans possess this features because God possesses them. The bible is replete with examples of God's out-stretched arms, laughing of his enemies to scorn(mouth),the Egyptians even testified of the finger of God.In exodus 33vs11,moses saw the back of God,but was not shown his face because no one can see his face and live. All this examples only prove the fact that God possesses a form even though he is a spirit,i.e he is invisible. And on your earlier question of where he was before creating heaven; The bible says that God lives from everlasting to everlasting,i.e from time immemorial.Remember that God is invisible so he could have existed anywhere. He does not need a physical space to exist. |
aurenflani:How does it affect the fact that you northerners are heartless? How does it affect the fact that you guys are serial killers? How does it affect the fact that islam degrades women and qualifies them as objects to be seen and not heard? How does it affect the fact that islam is a curse to any people? And what are you doing in lagos, if your people dont want southerners in the north?Go back to your hell-hole,'The north'. |
babagy82:You must be a disgrace to islam for claiming to be educated when all you guys want is the elimination of western education.HYPOCRISY AT ITS BEST!I sincerely hope we do divide this country so that you parasites will know the benefits of the handouts we have been giving to you.You Northeners contribute next to nothing to our economy, are the most illiterate set of people, but want to rule Nigeria indefinitely and enforce your religion on everyone.Could you tell me the usefulness of the north?Pls leave us as soon as possible. As for your hatred for xtianity,I hope you die with your hate, just the way that paedophilic fraud Mohammed(may piss be upon him) died. |
These northeners do not have any appreciation for human life, apparently the fallout of massive illiteracy and grinding poverty which are closely related.Unfortunately the islamic religion which should have been a beacon of hope in restoring sanity is only applying heat to the already inflammable situation. |
Please moderators,I need it to make the home page. |
Hey guys,I have heard lots of stories on the Anti -christ.But I am confused.I want to know more. |
The dude is quite learned, everything he said makes sense.Unfortunately he does not know how to communicate.SMH |
This got nothing to do with Jonathan, what is happening in Middle Belt is as a result of Cursed, Middle Belters are Cursed people, the wrath of God is on them
That is highly fallacious. How did you come about your hypothesis?See,that is the reason why we are where we.Always attributing everything to the spiritual, instead of holding your government accountable. |
This country do not value human life at all.We have some of the most debased nicompoops living in Nigeria.GEJ should stop falling my hand, cos i am regretting the fact that i voted for him. |
@Original poster, This is sickening to say the least. What do you hope to gain from this tomfoolery? Are you trying to be funny or what? You just come here gallivanting through cyberspace, pasting some ugly pictures telling the world how "backward" africa is.So much for patriotism. And tommorrow you will come here screaming "AFRICANS ARE STEREOTYPED".what a waste of space.SMH |
