CelebritiesRe: Oprah Winfrey Declares: "I Will Leave Earth As A Never-married Woman" by solomon111(m): 7:47pm On Oct 08, 2013
This is why i tell my female friends to stop imitating oprah winfrey.
The lady does not have any plans of marrying and so can behave and think anyhow she wants.
It's a tragedy for any lady that hope to have a good marriage to have oprah winfrey as a role-model.

PoliticsRe: Comparing Legacies - Obasanjo Vs Goodluck Jonathan by solomon111(m): 11:55am On Oct 08, 2013
Infact, the fact that GEJ has reformed the electoral system and introduced transparency has rubbished whatever OBJ has done.
I hope Nigerians have not forgotten how elections were under MAURICE IWU.
PoliticsRe: Comparing Legacies - Obasanjo Vs Goodluck Jonathan by solomon111(m): 11:50am On Oct 08, 2013
segzi cres: Your're very foolish for this post. Nigerians have awaken thank GOD. Shed away the dirty skin of sentiments and let's vote in a competent leader.
The only reason why you think Nigerians have woken up is because we are under a democrat who has entrenched the principle of free and fair elections and strengthening of opposition.
Why didn't Nigerians wake up under OBJ?
PoliticsRe: Comparing Legacies - Obasanjo Vs Goodluck Jonathan by solomon111(m): 11:47am On Oct 08, 2013
Nigerians have short memories.
The same OBJ that was a tyrant.
The same OBJ that embezzled $16billion meant for power reforms.
The same OBJ that was not able to reactivate our railway sector and repair our roads.
The same OBJ,under whose tenure the aviation sector was a complete mess.
The same OBJ under whose tenure pensioners were dying off like fowls before getting their pension.
The same OBJ that unconstitutionally witheld the federal allocation of a state for years.
The same OBJ under whose tenure price of fuel was never constant and NLC were always going on strike.
The same obj under whose tenure inflation was in double-digits,e.t.c.
Smh.
The only thing OBJ did well was taming troublesome northern elements, and GEJ will have to learn how to.

solomon111: I know okorocha is a failure, but comparing imo with dubai is a big stretch.
A single airport in dubai was constructed with atleast $800million.
I think i am the one wrong here.
Delta state built the asaba airport with more than $2billion and the airport can't be compared to that of dubai.
Smh.
Corruption.

Owerri better be looking 3x better than Dubai, and no offense, but honestly, I really want to know how this money was spent. This is called lootocracy.. While I still critic Peter Obi, I think I will give him an A+++ for financial prudence.

Apply this logic to GEJ's administration and see how much of a hypocrite you are.

It's time we advocate that the capital returns to the eastern region.

Abagworo: There are more houses in Imo than Akwa-Ibom and when you compare what Rochas has achieved in 2 years with Akwa-Ibom's 6 years, then you'll appreciate how well Rochas has managed Imo's little funds. Rewind time to 2009 and tell me what Akwa-Ibom was like then.

Meanwhile most of the pictures posted by the OP was before or in 2011. And mind you Imo receives almost same amount as Anambra and Abia. It is not a high income State as you presumed.
Imo's little funds?
Abagwaro you break my heart.
I thought you were an unbiased activist for good governance.
This is mediocrity.

berem: expository journalism my foot! Why don't you show also the good development of Rochas too. You want to tell me rochas hasn't done anything in Imo? C'mon don't be so mean! I still advice you to go through the thread.
you are being a hypocrite and you know it.
Whatever "good" rochas has done is not commensurate with the huge revenue of the state.
Imo state should be competing with akwa-ibom by now.

biafranqueen: You are not understanding me Bros I am saying that CEMENT MANUFACTURED IN THIS COUNTRY SHOULD BE CHEAPER!!!!!!
Don't you get it the price has double since we have started manufacturing cement. He made struck a deal with Aso Rock to increase the tariffs and now he increased the price of cement. He is building his wealth on the backs of Nigerians by selling cement at $10-11.00/ N1650-1800 per bag, which is twice the global average for the same size of the product.
what ibeto should do as a shrewd businessman and a rival is to produce locally and sell cheaper.
Dangote would be forced to bring down the price of his commodity.

shymexx: Is this conspiracy theory, or you just made this up? grin

Anyway, why would the price of petrol go up when refinery is built? How much is the cost of refining oil and wasn't the subsidy partially removed because of the irregularities and corruption in the downstream sector? And wouldn't it be easier for the government to regulate the price of petrol when it's refined in the country?

I honestly don't have time myopic conspiracies concocted by saboteurs looking for ways to destroy an empire the man built from the scratch, with his sweat. He's a businessman trying to maximise his profit(s). Tell the incompetent and useless government to do their part in regulating the prices.
Regulating the price of petroleum has been one of the reasons why private investors have not invested in refineries.
Building refineries is very expensive and risky.
Which is why the govt is trying to leave the price-fixing to market forces, which would make that industry attractive to private investors.
