jeez, I ll keep silent in calling u names, 'cos ur post itself IS ENOUGH TO DO SO. ..tell me something, (even if u were to grade development on road only), why isn't Borno a commercial capital (even only in north)? ...heck, im done wif U here.
what devt does the South has over the north? Nothing much. Probably "better health care and education". They have good roads and water, and are also agriculturally self-sufficient. The price of food is far cheaper in the North. Borno is one of the lowest states in the North and they have more good roads than the SW. Kano state is the commercial capital of the North. |
GUY.. u funny ooooooo. May I ask: are u a northerner? ..cos ur post is SO VOID of reality and evidence as to the status of d REAL Northern Nigeria....and FULL of sentiments
do you travel at all? Disprove what i said. Which SW state can be compared to borno when it comes to good roads and serenity(forget BH).? No,i am not a Northerner. |
LMAO seriously when I saw d pics of some capitals, especially that of SE & North.. I wonder Northern cities fairing better than most cities, even ikeja. ... CANT YA ALL SEE THE OP IS AN ANNOYINGLY FUNNY CHAP (pls dont mind my adv) ..d OP is SWIFT in rubbishing Ibadan where I reside (not my hometown) with the pic, unfortunately that is enough EVIDENCE showing he has never toured round any other SW state, probably except Lagos (sebi Lagos na him fatherland na ).I thank GOD Iv used a whole year in Enugu SE as a corper..If u divide Ibadan into 10 (no joke) ,the whole capital still never measures up to a one tenth. ..and despite d size of a cave, u ll still get villages. ...same with Aba. ...Anyway, brown roofs or not, does it matter when we have things like this: (gdp) Lagos- $33+ B . Oyo- $16+ B . . Imo-$14+ B . . . . . Abia- $9+ B . . . Anambra- $4+ B etc .. I still dey wonder what people with beautiful SE cities are looking at WHILE Ibadan with RUSTED ROOFS STILL DEY CARRY FIRST FOR GDP... LIKE Dk & Eko ile, ME I DEY LAUGH OOOOOO.
The Northern states are better than their southern counterparts in more ways than one.The few states in the South that can compete with the North when it comes to good roads and serenity are SS states. |
ShymX: Nigeria has only one city and that's Lagos.sorry, lagos is not the only Nigerian city. It's even overrated when compared to some parts of the country. And yes,the South talks too much. |
girliegal: John DabiriSo this is what is making you to foam in the mouth? Very impressive achievement, but it is not uncommon. Try harder. |
girliegal: You go hear am now.shut up and get lost. What do you know? You are probably still writing jamb. Small girl. |
They don't have to come back fully. They can operate from where they are and visit regularly as resource persons.
Many of them are already doing so. But it would be better if they actually do their work in the country. |
U235weapongrade: 4 UNN people on this list. Two Lecturers and Two students who happened to have graduated from the agbebi school of Engineering like Myself. You guys should watch out for me...yes,she is P.N okeke's wife. Their family is an assembly of physics and mathematics prodigies. |
those are the kind of people we want back in nigeria...they shud come n work selflessly 4 d development of nigeria.... They have the opportunity now, when their brother is the president of nigerial
True. We need these set of highly-skilled individuals back. The FG have to draw them back one way or the other. |
girliegal: Where are the records?yoruba, number one in engineering? You must be high on ekiti weed. |
Imagine if Nigeria had a platform for these intellectual titans to contribute to the technological devt of this great nation and continent. Many of these people are steve jobs, larry page, bill gates in the making. Lord have mercy. |
Nigeria as well as africans are very naieve. Everything is always a misplacement of priority to them. Smh. India just unveiled their indigenous nuclear powered submarine as well as their aircraft carrier. They also want to go to mars this year. Ironically, india also has more poor people than africa, yet that has not stopped them from investing in highly advanced technology. We should borrow a leaf from india and begin to look to the future and not just immediate gains. |
Ozwald: Hahaha... These people got jokes though.what has the number of people living in Nigeria got to do with the monitoring of crop yield, natural disasters, weather pattern, border, regional and continental surveillance? Both are mutually exclusive. Btw,it will be almost impossible to get the real number of people living in Nigeria due to many factors. |
Litmus: We need now a 100% homegrown one.NASRDA said the next Nigerian satellite to be launched in "2015" will be built and launched in Nigeria. Pretty exciting stuff. |
African should be ashamed of threads like this. Those pictures are just a depiction of the paradox called the "african continent". |
Gbaragbara: I wonder what a country like nigeria that suffers from chronic power outages will be doing with tall buildings anyway. holy sh1t! I have my own experience to talk about walahiMost african countries have power problems yet boast of fanciful buildings. Lol. |
OP,that your hypothesis is faulty. The beauty of a skyline does not necessarily determine the wealth or well-being of a nation. Especially,in africa where there's gross misplacement of priorities. Many poor African countries spend huge amount of money on fanciful buildings to cater for the few wealthy people while the bulk of the masses suffer. |
badbros: ohhhhh I see.it's a huge source of foreign exchange. Btw,india has more starving people than the whole of Africa, yet they are planning to go to Mars this year. |
"Date" or DATA? |
pDude: Ok since na you read bible pass me, tell me what JESUS said about midnight prayers.na you sabi. |
Kgdavid: lol you guys are all wrong on so many levels.he is no longer eligible to play for Nigeria. And i don't think he has any chance of breaking into the german team. |
pDude: No.This is wrong. Go and read your bible very well. And yes,God is not a "winch" but he appreciates midnight prayer. |
The midnight is a period of intense positive and negative spiritual traffic. Most battles are won and lost in the night. It's a disaster if a christian does not master the art of midnight prayer. Intelligent christians don't joke with the midnight prayer. |
Nice. Congratulobia. |
Reese jumps 6.95. Still the count back favours Blessing if she can jump 7.01 in the final round. Just 0.02m...2cm..so close
pls when is 100m coming up? |
Zadokk: Hahaha on my way to Sweden, when am back i will read ur post, pilot Sweden bus stop dey ooo...Safe journey. If dem pursue you,no come cry for nairaland o. |
obi alfa: See wayo people. These british people are real crooks. If staying at your home is that good, why is half of the english not in England? They have been leaving england for centuries forming new countries. Why don't they stay and develop england?why not come back to Nigeria and send the English expatriates away through consistent mass protests. Keep looking for excuses. |
25Calibre: True talk!!! But if only this man really knew about Nigeria, he'd know that Nigeria isn't your typical conventional country, in the sense that Nigeria doesn't function like a country, it's functions more like a crime family.will running away solve the problem? Why can't these hordes of youths stay back and reclaim their country from bad governance? Atleast the Egyptians and turkish don't have two heads. Dey never punish una finish. |
I just dey laugh |
deeptesting: @OP kindly let us know when the construction is completed..meanwhile, tomorrow some people go say Abuja an dem own....na all Nigerians money dem dey use construct am oooooooooooooo.. When will they bring the capital of Nigeria to Niger Delta?. #justaskingMy brother na so we see am o. Very soon, those mallams will start deporting people. |
Niger-delta money be used to develop foreign regions, yet they don't want GEJ to rest. I won't be surprised if the "indigenes" start claiming that usman dan fodio developed abuja tommorrow. We need true and complete federalism in this country. Everybody should develop their regions with their own resources. |
