I would like to see how Ahmed Musa can hold the no 9 position in the absence of Ighalo.
Thanks to Rohr for giving Joel Obi another chance to shine. I hope he seals his world cup place.
The Oyibo wall has been diluted with Awaziem. Let's see what he can do.
Iwobi must learn to dominate games & not get swallowed up like that of Poland.
Goodluck to the Eagles.... Sorry, Buhari to the Eagles |

TheSuperNerd: Coach Rohr's post-match comments
Coach Gernot Rohr: "We were lucky to have won this game against a very solid Polish side. They created some big opportunities to score and were dangerous from set pieces that we found difficult to cope with but I praise my team for their victory."
"This team is a young team but also a team of leaders. If we stay humble & continue to work hard to improve our play we have huge potentials, but beating 2 FIFA top 10 teams in friendlies doesn’t mean we are now World Cup favourites."
I just love his choice of words. Baba Rohr. Chai.... I just love you and your wise and humble comments. Other coaches would have called it a almost perfect team. Thumbs up!!! |

I noticed some few issues in that match. Congratulations though to the Super Eagles: 1. Victor Moses is skillful but selfish 2. Joel Obi is talented, tested and trusted 3. Alex Iwobi does not tick in every physical game. Even that against South Africa, he was lost. The Polish team were too physical for him. 4. Wilfred Ndidi, Shehu Abdullahi and Troost Ekong are both rock solid. 5. Francis Uzoho needs more friendly games to boost his confidence. Maduka Okoye should also be drafted in too. |

Magink: So I just saw on Twitter(@bundesligavibes) right now that Jordan Touringha through his agent has informed Rohr that he will wait for Germany's call up Why this pressure all the time. Tammy Abraham was in the same pressure from the English press & coaches now this. Jordan Ibe is also in the same dilemma. This Jordan Touringha boy should just go abeg! |

https://i1.wp.com/owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/IMG_4320.jpg
Owngoalnigeria.com has obtained details of how the Super Eagles of Nigeria lined up in their evening training session yesterday which was supervised by coach Gernot Rohr.
The team had a practice game with coach Rohr separating the players into two teams for a practice game which ended 3-1 in favour of the team that looks likely to start (Team lineup A).
Ikechukwu Ezenwa had his first session with the team, and he was in goal for the team many believe is the B team while Francis Odinaka Uzoho manned goal for the A team.
The shock inclusion in the A team was Brian Idowu who started as left back for the team that had lost of the likely starters. His selection ahead of Elderson Echiejile and Ola Aina was the only major change in the team A.
Line Up Team A:
Francis Odinaka Uzoho ( GK)
Shehu Abdullahi
Brian Idowu
Leon Balogun
William Troost-Ekong
Wilfred Ndidi
Ogenyi Onazi ( Joel Obi)
Kelechi Iheanacho
Alex Iwobi
Victor Moses
Odion Ighalo
Line Up Team B:
Ikechukwu Ezenwa ( GK)
Ola Aina Elderson Echiejile
Chidozie Awaziem
Kenneth Omeruo
Uche Agbo
Joel Obi ( Eddy Onazi)
Moses Simon
Ahmed Musa

AllforJesus7: You can allow this matter to rest. think he is now in camp. What matters now is to focus on the friendly games and improvements.
You all forget that Mikel had an even worse attitude towards the NT just some years back. And as it usually unfolds they all grow and mature beyond such shenanigans. Mikel today is very dedicated. He even undermined the chance to seal his place at Chelsea just to be with the Olympic team.
Moses will grow too. Mikel only grew in maturity because he was made the captain. I bet you if he wasn't captain, he would have done worse. Thank God for responsibility. We can do the same for Victor Moses; make him deputy captain & he'll be number 1 in camp. |

TheSuperNerd: Hertha BSC, Germany Coaches Tell Torunarigha : You Have A Future With Germany Not Nigeria
https://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/football_pics/98982Jordan.jpg
The German Football Association are prepared to do battle with their Nigerian counterparts over the services of highly-rated Hertha Berlin central defender Jordan Torunarigha.
Germany U21s manager Stefan Kuntz and Hertha Berlin coach Pal Dardai hope he refuses the offer from the Nigerian Federation to represent the Super Eagles at the 2018 World Cup, and added that he has a future with Germany's senior national team.
''Jordan is a top player, who absolutely convinced me. He has a great left foot and his development is far from over. I did not nominate him for nothing again,'' said Kuntz, who invited Torunarigha for the upcoming games against Israel and Kosovo, to German newspaper B.Z .
Pal Dardai is on the same page as Kuntz, and said : ''The World Cup is certainly a great opportunity for him.
''But maybe it is better for the development, if he goes through the U21 at the DFB. Maybe then it works with the German national team.''
Jordan's father Ojokojo Torunarigha played twelve matches for Nigeria's national team.

Russia 2018 WC Countdown: 89 days 4 hours to go I pray this guy agrees to play for Nigeria. He is top notch. The Germans may want to cap-tie him but I pray NFF will be smart and discrete over this issue. Pls someone should tell PINNICK not to turn this issue to a global PICNIC. |

Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by solonnachi: 7:48am On Feb 08, 2018 |
I'm concerned about our Flamingoes. This may be our first time to miss an U17 FIFA Women competition if our football authorities don't take this return leg serious. Thomas Dennerby should be instructed to take over proceedings now b4 it is too late. |

Anyway, You are welcome Sir Solonnachi. We will keep doing our best to fly the flags high even as we all pursue our real lives unto excellence too .... Welcome to the team Man...... Welcome.... You are welcome Sir Supernerd |

TheSuperNerd: Thank you for the updates Sir Schemerkhiz and Sir Solonnachi..... You guys are true MVPs. Thanks so much. I appreciate it.
The result is not a good one really but we hope Nikyu and his crew come up with some magical turnaround. A goalless draw in Cameorun won't do... A 1-1 draw also won't do... Our girls have do a mission impossible. Going to Cameroun and beating that dangerous free scoring Cameroonian team. Wish them the best shaa but this is so not encouraging.... Thanks Sir Supernerd for your patriotism. Hope the Flamingos will perform a miracle in Cameroon |
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by solonnachi: 6:31pm On Feb 03, 2018 |
Daejoyoung: You could see what the coach did with the previous u17 team, they weren't at their best in that world cup, and now this! Whatever happens in a fortnight, l'd say the coach should be fired, maybe his approach is just too negative or not daring enough, hence not suitable for a typical raw Nigerian female soccer team. I second this motion. This is the point Thomas Dennerby should come in. |

TheSuperNerd: Mehn.... I won't lie to you... I was kinda concerned shaa about this game because of Cameroun's goals form against Algeria.
Against Ethiopia, our girls struggled and I expected Bala Nikyu to fix those frailties but now this..... Make we dey see shaa That's the Nigerian mentality. We saw the handwriting on the wall but did nothing. If we eventually qualify, this team should be completely overhauled starting with the coach. |
