The only thing Rohr needs to do is to make them know their role else we experience another confusion as we did against South Africa.

I don't think we have the personel to play the 3-5-2 formation. Victor is out, Ekong out, Mikel out and even Iwobi who can play as a wing back is also out. It will be risky to experiment with untested players else we chop am.

I think Rohr will use the first half to try out the 3-5-2 formation on Seychelles then in the second half, he would introduce Etebo & Onyekuru for the 4-3-3. But I think, Seychelles will not be a problem. They are 188 in FIFA ranking & we are 49. Level pass level

Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr has made up his mind on the eleven players that will take to the Stade Linité (Roche Caïman) turf in Saturday afternoon's 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles.

The German football tactician has made some interesting decisions, one of which is opting to hand new Elche CF signing Francis Uzoho his ninth consecutive start despite his inactivity for his Spanish clubs since the start of the season.

That means Chippa United netminder Daniel Akpeyi has a place on the bench even though he impressed in the Super Eagles training sessions leading up to the game.

Another inactive player, Chidozie Awaziem starts in the right back position, Lokomotiv Moscow's Brian Idowu keeps his place at left-back, while Chelsea loanee Kenneth Omeruo and Leon Balogun start in central defense.

The midfield contains Kelechi Iheanacho and his Leicester City teammate Wilfred Ndidi as well as Eddy Onazi, meaning Arsenal loanee Kelechi Nwakali would make his debut off the bench if he is handed game time.

In-form Changchun Yatai star Odion Ighalo will lead the charge for goals and he'll be supported by Samuel Kalu and Ahmed Musa.

Benin U17 team has been disqualified from the competition for registering 10 overaged players according to CAF MRI test.

Nigerian U17 skipper was also disqualified. We now have 15 outfield players & 3 keepers. Niger too had one player disqualified. Are you sure we can win this competition?

Coach of the Nigerian U17 team Manu Garba has released his 20 man list of players who wil represent Nigeria at the WAFU B Championship, which will serve as qualifiers for the African U17 Championship.

Already the Nigerian team have arrived in Niamey, and they will play their first game against Burkina Faso on Monday before taking on Cote d’Ivoire on Thursday with their final group game against Benin Republic scheduled for Sunday next week.

Head coach of the Nigerian team Manu Garba and four players from the team will join the rest of the team in Niger on Saturday after they couldn’t secure seats on the plane that flew the rest of the squad earlier today.

A total of three goalkeepers, seven defenders, eight midfielders and three forwards were named by Manu Garba in his 20 man list for the tournament.

Igbo proverb " when a little bird (Giwa) has the boldness to dance in the middle of a foot path, that bird has a hidden drummer (Dalung) in the Bush. Giwa will never take that offer, if he does not get it, let everything scatter. We have two options:

1. Federal Government to direct the Attorney General to vacate all cases in court pertaining to the NFF leadership tussel.

2. The National Assembly to immediately pass the NFF bill which has a provision that in case of disputes, all disputes will be settled by FIFA and CAS. Our local courts will not have jurisdiction to handle NFF matters.

I prefer these two options. But right now, the first option is feasible than the second.

Nigeria’s chances of shining at the forthcoming U17 AFCON zonal qualifiers in Niger Republic have suffered a major blow after at least 15 of the 40 best players failed the mandatory MRI age test just two weeks to the big kick-off.

Some feelers have even suggested that the players who failed could even be far more than officials were ready to divulge.

The players affected include four of the team’s star strikers as well as a highly-rated central defender from Plateau State, SCORENigeria has exclusively gathered.

We have further gathered that all the players have since been sent packing from the team’s training camp in Abuja.

Another set of 15 players are now to undergo the MRI scan to replace those who failed.

“It’s a devastating blow, everyone involved in the team is shocked,” an official admitted to SCORENigeria

Last year, as many as 23 players failed the age test so much so that the five-time world champions failed to qualify for the U17 AFCON in Rwanda.

Coach Manu Garba’s team are to begin their qualifying campaign on September 3 against Burkina Faso.

They are drawn in Group B along with Cote d’Ivoire and Benin Republic with only the overall winners of the seven-team qualifying competition advancing to the tournament proper in Tanzania next year.
