Nigerian striker Junior Lokosa will not sign the Bulgarian football champion Ludogorets . There was controversial information about him, as it became clear that senior coach Dimitar Dimitrov wants to see him in action during a training or two-sided game.

On Wednesday, however, the agent of the player said he would not be taking samples but would sign a contract directly. According to the coaching leadership, however, the player in the club, Kano Pilarz, has no level to be a new addition to Ludogorets.

Even the academy boys have a better chance of joining the first team of the seven-time champions. 24-year-old Lokosa has 18 goals this season at the Nigerian championship for Kano Pilar.
His world cup dreams are over. Bring in Henry Onyekuru

That flying Eagles defense is too porous. Even coach Maikaba complained about it. It really needs to be worked on. The Guinea Bissau guys are no push overs. About 9 of their players play in the Portuguese league

Those likely to be on Rohr's list from this lot: Joel Obi, Henry Onyekuru, Dele Alampasu(yes, 5 goalkeepers are in Rohr's plans)
Samuel Kalu and Simeon Nwankwo have outside chances and let me also add Peter Olanyinka.
I'm so excited that Henry Onyekuru is finally back. But can't Kevin Akpoguma and maybe Sheyi Ojo or Ovie Ejaria be convinced? Jordan Ibe and Bazee are serious great options too

Osimhen is injured. Tammy will most likely never play for Nigeria.

Obi, Onyekuru and Alampasu could make the list.

Modified
And maybe Simy. Lookman could be considered, who knows?
Something tells me that Pinnick has met Tammy in closed doors and who knows, the boy could turn out for Nigeria.

This Chris Giwa man had a plan. He waited until the world cup some barely some days to go before he returned back to Supreme court to cause havoc. If Nigeria is banned from going to Russia, make e just go exile.

I will disagree with you a little bit on that...Though the NFF and coach has a lot to do by organising friendlies, scouting, instilling technical knowledge into the girls, and creating an enabling environment for them....but take a look at countries with good national teams in female football and tell which one became successful by depending on foreign based players...the chunk of their players play locally...Is it Japan, USA, England, France, China, Germany, Sweden...pls name one.

And trust me, male football is different from female football, where you can camp them for a few days to a match and get a decent result, female players need time to gel...and for that to happen you need a vibrant league players who are to be complemented by few foreign based players on match days. My opinion though
True talk. Let's improve our league first.

I'm saddened by the way people are just commenting....A team has not played together for a year, they just got a new coach, few top members off the team are not available with several new faces. And then they only had one day to train for this match..,Playing a world champion squad like france.....

The Girls did their best under the situation.....Besides the beauty of the result is that, it puts the coach, the NFF and the girls on notice that there is lots of work to do.....

I hope more tough friendlies are put together for the girls, so that they can get better as a team .....

And kudos to Pinnick for taken responsibility for the failure and given support to the girls
Thank you my brother. If not for this friendly, we won't have known how deficient we were. More Grade A friendlies please

SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by solonnachi: 10:36pm On Apr 05, 2018
I'm just happy that the Super Falcons are now given some attention like the Super Eagles. Hopefully, Dennerby and Petersson will organize more friendly matches for these teams. I see Nigeria playing a friendly game against Sweden or even England. To me the friendly match scores do not matter, what matters is the cohesion, understanding, blending and harmony.

Then please, lets give him a chance with Super Eagles. We need creative midfielders now. All we have been getting is defensive midfielders except Mikel.

Can we have more friendly matches for these ladies. You need to see the turn out for this game. The Falcons have indeed missed ACTIVE national team fixtures. The U20 Falconets also need friendlies before they go to France. NFF GET TO WORK.

Are you guys buying this fake news? Listen, Rohr already knows 99% of his team. Hence, he's not combing anywhere for strikers. If you said goalkeeping, then I will say probably but, right now, any new player who makes the World Cup team has to be an exceptional talent. And we don't have such players right now who isn't already in the team.

O pari
Mr O pari. I get you clearly but if the team that played Serbia faces Iceland, we will be flogged badly. I understand your worries but Rohr understands that Nigerian mentality which says WIN AT ALL COST. He is doing all last minute arrangement to perfect his team, lets allow him scout for more players. We still have DRCongo, England, Czech Rep and another country to face. Allow the man to sharpen his side. The NFF are dangling 'world cup carrots' at foreign born talents. Lets allow him

Lol.... Then that is practically focusing on the "whole team" wink Na only defence you omit. cheesy

Nice to see you again Sir Nachi...
I quoted goalkeeping because, I saw Uzoho's school boy errors and the way he was jumping like fish before that first goal against Serbia which remided me of one Greg Etafia if you still remember? He played in a South African club. Ezenwa, we can manage but Akpeyi is no go area. Why not try out Maduka from the German league?

The defense were overstretched due to poor midfield but Awaziem no try cha cha. I thought Ebuehi could do better but thank God we have Shehu Abdullahi in case

Midfield was without class even with Ndidi and Joel Obi. Ogu only get big body but no skill. I prefer Iwobi in midfield with Ndidi (the sweeper). Join them with Noah BAZEE and Jordan IBE (both at the wings) and you'll see class (in the absence of Mikel and VicMoses)

Do you appreciate Ighalo's play? Because I DONT. Ahmed Musa.... no comment. Iheanacho's absence was felt. Or better still try Samuel Kalu.

Happy Easter to you Mr Supernerd. Glad to have you back from exile. (lol... just kidding)
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by solonnachi:
We would definately miss Asisat Oshoala and Rasheedat Ajibade in this friendly.
NFF should organize more Grade A friendlies for these ladies. They need it now. South Africa and Ghana are active, why not Nigeria?

News courtesy of Sir Tbaba1234's eagle eyes on the Super Eagles thread says Sophia Omidiji have been invited for the France friendly too. A late call up no doubt but it is worth it.

Finally Dennerby gets to assess Sophia. Welcome to the Super Falcons Sophia Omidiji Jnr. smiley

Omidiji gets late Nigeria call-up for France friendly

Ex-Nigeria U20 women invitee Sophia Omidiji has received a late call-up to the Super Falcons for Friday's friendly with France in Le Mans. She will join her mates at the Mercure Le Mans Centre as the team's camp opens today.
I'm happy that this lady, Sophia Omidiji has been given a chance. Her time has been long overdue to join the team. The NFF has been silent over preparation for this match. Na waya oooo. If it was Super Eagles, even social media will hear.

Rohr combs Europe for strikers

Apparently not satisfied with the performance of his players against Serbia last Tuesday, the Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr has vowed to get prolific strikers that would deliver at this year’s World Cup.

The Eagles, after labouring to beat Poland 1-0 on March 23rd, 2018, the team played below expectation in the next match against Serbia at the Barnet Stadium in England four days later. Rohr has since spread his dragnet to search for potent strikers and unique players that could transform his team to a world beater.

In a chat with NationSport when asked if he was looking for prolific strikers that can score goals more easily for the Eagles, Rohr disclosed that he has put the machinery in motion to upgrade all the departments of his team in readiness for the 2018 World Cup

“We are still ready to take someone really stronger than those players we have. Each weekend we are monitoring a lot of players with our
scouting team”, the Franco- German football tactician replied.
