I agree with you completely. Two factors are considered to declare who wins a presidential election. Total majority votes (and not who led in a particular state) and 25% of (36+1) states. It is complete trash and an attempt to whip up sentiments by saying that Tinubu lost in those states.

I agree with INEC that IREV is not for collation. Parties should use their copies of Form EC8A from their polling unit agents for collation. This is because it us very possible that not all Form EC8A will get uploaded on to IREV for one reason or the other.

Yes. IREV is not even mentioned anywhere in the electoral act. IREV is just a result viewing portal and not a collation system. Even copies of form EC8A given to police officers on duty and party agents can be used to collate result and declare a winner.

Peter Obi's agents were given the results of all the polling units in the country. All he had to do was collate his own result based on the copies given to his agents and take it to court as evidence instead of looking for IREV result.

Obi did not have agents at the poling booths in core Northern states. That's why he was depending on IReV and INEC. It shows gross unseriousness.
