alcmene:You are talking about another thing. Are there NNPC pipelines in Akwa Ibom? Have Niger Delta Avengers been attacking facilities in Akwa Ibom State? where dem lalasticlala dey? this news get socks o, abi na sauce, abi na sores sef. |
Even though Nigerian police is not that credible, I tend to believe this news because I wasn't convinced about this last NDA claims, for the first time and for obvious reasons: 1. I have not really heard of NNPC gas pipeline in Akwa Ibom state. I may be wrong but anyone who knows where NNPC pipeline passed in Akwa Ibom can tell us. 2. Niger Delta Avengers activities are in Delta and Bayelsa. you may say that their sponsors are there, but na you talk that one. Avengers have not blown up facilities in Edo, Akwa Ibom or Rivers State. |
Anyway shaa . . . I have not seen many Nigerians who see opportunity of making N300,000 and decide to give it to others. |
Congratulations to the selected ones. Pls move on with your lives while palm wine drinkers continue debating which tribe is dominating. Don't even mind those of us, we are waiting for government to come and do everything for us. |

Luckylife:You have just highlighted the lack of will there. Let me also put it to you that other former presidents retire to their homes at peace but for GEJ, it is either one cousin is kidnapped or an uncle or kinsman. Apparently he couldn't even secure his own community and we expected him to secure Nigeria. Joke! But personally I had expected those hoodlums they breed to leave his family and town alone, just as a mark of respect for a former head of state. |
The United States yesterday said immediate past president, Goodluck Jonathan, did not show political will in putting an end to Boko Haram insurgency that ravaged the country for several years. The country also revealed that corruption in the Jonathan-led administration denied Nigeria its support in the war against Boko Haram at the height of the insurgency. The US ambassador to the United Nations, Ambassador Samantha Power, made the revelation at the American University of Nigeria, during a visit to round off her visit to IDPs camps in Adamawa state. She disclosed that the US government was monitoring the political will of Nigeria then to tackle the insurgency, but was not convinced of the country’ seriousness due to the corrupt tendencies that were associated with the issue of those fighting the insurgency. She however noted that President Muhammadu Buhari had so far shown seriousness in tackling the scourge. “But, when the Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government came on board, the US recognised his full commitment to stop the insurgency and the anti-corruption crusade. The US has no alternative than to back the present administration. “The US, as part of our new resolve and commitment is now training a battalion of soldiers that will soon return home to face the insurgents headlong. The battalion will be a high performing one equipped with the American terrorism combat and techniques on their return,” she said. She also disclosed that President Buhari had received needed intelligence for the rescue of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls, and commended Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon and Niger under the auspices of the Lake Chad Commission for their collaborative effort in combating the Boko Haram insurgents. “The United States acknowledged the seriousness of these countries in their combined efforts against terrorism and it is paying off now.” While announcing a donation of $40 million to help Boko Haram victims, the envoy disclosed that although the US was investing in the security aspect of Nigeria, it was not involved in combating Boko Haram. Power called on the soldiers to protect liberated towns so as to allow returnees start a fresh life. Recall that top military and security officials that served in the Jonathan administration are currently under investigation for the misuse of funds meant for the procurement of arms in the fight against insurgents. The former national security adviser, Sambo Dasuki, has been in detention since November 2015 for his role in the misappropriation of $2.1 billion. http://leadership.ng/news/520987/jonathan-showed-no-political-will-fight-boko-haram-us-envoy

so nobody knows. na wa o! Indomie generation rocking celebrity section since 1997. Lalasticlala help us with wider coverage. |
According to Wikipedia, "Onyeka Onwenu is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, actress, journalist, politician, and X Factor series judge. She is the youngest daughter of the Nigerian educationist and politician D.K Onwenu." In one of her songs titled "Chibuzo", she was referring to the name as her hero, obviously regretting why Chibuzo had left so soon. The track is actually good by any standard. I have asked and searched who Chibuzo was and the relationship but got no answers. Please, who knows anything about this Chibuzo? |
clueless defence. Obasanjo that saved a lot of money, I guess there were no state governments to demand sharing at that time. if you are weak, don't blame others. |
So in the moment, Ekweremadu is technically the senate president. |
People are tripping into Maiduguri of late. Yesterday was FG delegates, today Aisha. Also heard football clubs have started going to play at Maiduguri (home of Elkanemi Warriors I guess). UniMaid had first convocation since 2010. I think the Northeast is gradually returning to a secured region. Perhaps the old man is delivering some of his campaign promises after all. |
lonelydora:That place is not Ibagwa-Ani but Amogbo/Layout. |
One of those behind Buhari's 2015 election success, even after Buhari jailed the father in 1984. OP didn't include that one. I wish you very many happy returns Lola. |
The level of confidence these western countries have on Buhari is amazing. I don't know how Buhari managed to gain these support, likeness and respect, but it's definitely good for Nigeria. Perhaps the saying that "good name is better than riches". The Europe and America believe he's the best thing that Nigeria needs, other African countries revere him with some using his pictures and change slogan for campaigns. I too like his ways. One thing is certain. With his determination and vision, and international support, Nigeria can only get better. That way, both the APC and PDP, his lovers and haters would all benefit. |
Tompolo, sorry. the current administration is not just ready to leave you like that. Get the fact and submit yourself. Protests, renewed militancy or seeking sympathy will not save you. You have released a statement that you can not wage a war against govt, but actually you may not have much options than not to war. One thing with fighting govt is that people may hail and encourage you but you will be on the run perpetually, abandoning all your mansions and chains of businesses to hide in 'wherever'. If your guys should carry weapons, at the current price how many barrels would you sell to buy sophisticated armour? Govt may suffer military casualties and dwindling revenue but those won't stop gov't from operating. Oga Tompolo, Buhari is mean! Do not dig your own grave. jazz get level o. |
Lauretta Onochie is not Buhari's aide. She organizes Buhari's support organization and is part of APC UK. This Emeka Ugwuonye guy sef. Google him and everything that comes up has to do with criminal activities and fraud. |

can IPOB carry what it is bringing upon itself? |
Decisions are changing often, and I can't get the exact numbers of slots for each category. besides, that will just give you more tension. That I try to avoid. But then HSE is taking "about 2". Much of my last post holds for some other categories. @babacha, I don't think a company will pay you N400k for chilling in classroom for some months, that will rather be too generous. Although the training will be cut shorter that what was planned originally. That is for production, mechanical and electrical/instr., who will constitute majority of the new employees. I am here less often. Good luck guys as you get your offers this month (hoping things remain as planned). |
Well, I don't think anyone will be dropped again. Unless you really fall flat on your face in the final assessment which I don't expect based on your performances so far. That notwithstanding, brush yourself up once again in your field. Recall the qualities and skills that stand you out, show you are on top of your game without displaying arrogance/pride, maintain eye contact. Some people's session may just turn out to be a chat and opportunity to see higher-level people within. You are called because you are needed. Congratulations to those selected! Hopefully this will be much better than where you are coming from, it feels good to work with an operating company. To everybody, do accept my best wishes in your endeavours. |
Unibentested:Where I dey? I dey around, I know you'll be going for interview in the coming days. Congrats to the invitees, you did exceptionally well in the test especially. It's funny to expect I will come to enumerate what the interview will entail. However, get yourself prepared on behavioural-based interview method and what you can bring to the table as a "your position". What makes you different from others, is it your training, design, soft skills, etc? DDE and HSE candidates should expect a more rigorous interview because they are not going to undergo structured training like others but a crash induction. Also there are a few guys from "nowhere" that have joined the competition. So, be at your best! The only situation that will warrant calling more people is that significant number of those invited didn't show up for the interview or do perform very poorly. Best wishes! |
Calm down guys. Anxiety will not draw nearer the next stage, neither will it push that further. You will see, you will know. However, as expected marking is over, approx 200 scripts of mainly multiple choice wouldn't be tough task though. Candidates are being ranked based primarily but not only on test scores. There's a compilation ( don't know if brought to test venue) containing qualifications, bosiet, exp/affiliate, etc. These are weighted with weak bias such that for example Mr A could score 5 points higher than Mr B, but B might be ranked higher for having BOSIET/MSc (for HSE/DDE) or HND for operators/technicians. A couple of guys had PhD though. This method wasn't designed to fail anyone. This exercise was cut out to be highly organized and professionally conducted. Merit is the watchword. Meanwhile, as indications of the indigenous company in question emerged, people who know people have besieged the company directors pushing for their candidates, even those who didn't take test. Hopefully this will not scuttle the process, at least to a significant level. As soon as the parties involved conclude arrangements, highest ranking ones would be scheduled for interview/further examinations. Different days for different categories. Successful ones are expected to start Dec/Jan. I am only privileged to access some information. I do not work for any of the companies and at the same time, I have limitation as to the specifics that I can reveal. These are current standings and one woman/man can stand and turn around the scenarios at will. So they are not cast on stone. Good luck everyone. People will be contacted just soon. |
shots fired in the air, not at the protesters. Op, title is misleading. |
I see |
Hehehe . . . No one is reporting. How far guys? Well, I heard that there were approx 40 candidates that sat for each category and they were given EXAMS to write. Initial quick review of the papers shows that candidates performed extraordinarily poorly. Even though marking has not commenced in essence, a category like drilling engineering might not have up to 5 people cross 35%. Good luck guys. |
You got this message because you applied for this: Indigenous Oil and Gas Company Job Recruitment (5 Positions) Find the advert and recall what you applied for. Meanwhile, I think that Yoruba comes into play for final selection, so don't get too excited yet. |

chukwudi44:Did you also see “At some point, Boko Haram overran 20 out of our 27 local government areas in Borno State. They overran four local government areas in Adamawa and two in Yobe.”? GEJ saw boko haram grow from a 5-man group to snatching over 20 LGAs from Nigeria. Now from 20 to 2 and someone believes we are loosing it. So 2 is greater than 20? I wonder who is a dullard. |
WhiteHat:No, I am not part of the applicants. Just became familiar with the exercise somehow, and stumbled into this thread. |
