I wouldn't advise that. The forms are updated irregularly on cic site, so you can't be sure you are using an outdated form unless you download from the site. And there are many forms that could be requested for.

For those that will be invited for the aptitude & skill tests/interview, you all should expect this on your profile page in this order.

- Application Received
- Application Under review
- Application in Progress

Note: Application received or under review isn’t a guarantee that you will shortlisted or invited for the aptitude test/interview. Those that have their status “Application received” may also be invited. Your applications would be subjected to thorough screening by the recruitment team.

During your application, you were required to fill the form. When completed and submitted successfully, the system would scan the data provided by candidates and it would reject or accept the application automatically which depends on whether a candidate meets the minimum requirements or not.

If the application is successful, a confirmation mail would be sent to a candidate that met the. If it’s rejected by the machine, the candidate won’t receive a confirmation mail but a rejection mail the same day and status would change to application rejected or not considered.

Those that received the confirmation mail, succeeded in the first stage of screening.
The second stage of screening of would be done by a recruiter(human) as stated in your mails. The recruiter would review your resumes, cover letters and certificates against the questions answered on the application form.
If a candidates provides an answer that doesn’t correspond to what is stated on his/her resumes and certificates, the person would be disqualified and sent a rejection mail for example, on the application form, a candidate chose “yes” for possessing a 2:1 or higher but on his/her certificate or resume it stated a 2:2 or 3rd class. He/She would receive a rejection mail.

Also, the recruiter would check for a candidates date of birth, state of residence (Lagos & Awka Ibom residents will be highly considered), those that possess a higher degree, professional certifications or work experience would be highly considered etc. The moment a member of the recruitment team opens a candidate’s file, the application status would change to “Under Review”. It may not change for some if the system experienced a glitch. Keep checking your mails for invites and ignore the received or under review status.

If you have not received a rejection mail or have your application status change from received to application no longer considered, you are safe.

Application screening takes 3weeks from the date of publication before successful candidates receive invitations.

Some truth in this, however, be wary of this guy. He was, or still is, popular in the DPR thread with different variants of this moniker.

Exxonmobil would never use candidates' residence as a selection criterion. As a matter of fact, in their last major recruitment in 2012, they had test and interview centres in UK and North America. This ensures wider coverage to select the best candidates.

Mobil often takes up to 2/3 months after application deadline before inviting candidates for tests. So, you guys have a whole lot of speculation and projection to make, otherwise relax and wait.

Yes, one can apply for work visa while PR process is on. They call it dual intent (you may check it out).
However, you or your friend should check the citizenship and PR status requirements for such job category. Check the papers or enquire from UN before you make your dual intent known.

My husband is the PA, his age 35 and work experience 4 years (software engineer) isn't giving us a good CRS score (385), the problem is that i don't have a degree(only finished secondary school). even if i take the English test i cant add much value to his score( around 400).

It means your husband is eligible for EE but his CRS cannot meet the cut off point. You people have at least three options thus:

1. Getting a job offer in Canada that meets the IRCC specified job categories (either by transfer to Canada or fresh job offer). This will boost the family CRS to hopefully meet the cut off.

2. Use the PNP route. This is where a province nominates the candidate for EE. There's another thread for that, check it out.

3. Husband and wife getting additional qualifications, maybe just a year diploma. With this and maxing IELTS by both of you, CRS coukd climb to 430s. Other avenues could be explored such as French language test, claiming points from relatives if any, PA applying unaccompanied, etc to increase CRS.

Bonus options:
4. Check the trade skills options if wife has some trade/skills certification.

5. Use the study route by gaining MSc admission in Canada.

6. Forget about canada and look at other countries like Australia, etc.

Really? I know someone who earns close to $17k a month...he's a company man on our Rig. His family is over there in Canada and he does his rotation job with ease. Tell me how that's not cost effective ma'am? His oga at the base does same thing too and he's earning above him...

Only few people are in this category, and 90% of them are not interested in migrating to Canada.
DrMrsCK is probably referring to those who are moving to Canada to get better job, to to make money or to earn a living. In that case, it's definitely not cost effective to spend your earning flying around every now and then.

I thought the requirement is that you have the funds readily available when you submit your application and have them until you land in Canada.

If they need to verify your funds at anytime they would issue an ADR. Where the funds are won’t matter as long as you have it readily available to you. My thoughts

The next draw will likely be between Monday 26th - Thursday 29th November, 2018. While the last two draws for the year will be in December, bringing the cumulative draws left to three all things being equal.
Judging from the pictorial evidence below, I see one of the three draws left for the year dropping below 440, based on the part marked good sign had been cleared by the last draw.
Therefore, the part marked half will be taken care of by the next draw most likely and the part marked asterisk and underlined might happen all things being equal. So let’s keep hopes alive.

Mind you my projections are predicted on the statistics from IRCC below.

IRCC is unpredictable but it's almost certain that CRS would not go below 440 this year. Some also argue that it may never go below 440 in the future.

While I work with BYCT Bank plc as stated in my employment history (December 2012 till date), I have been a part time Agricultural Consultant with GXYZ Farms since August 2012. The farm is a mixed farming business with its major farm settlements in Ogun state Nigeria, I carry out research, render advisory and training services as well as evaluations for the farm from time to time whenever it is required
This was born out of my passion for Agriculture and my degree in Agricultural Economics and Extension. I also have a small mocktails business where I cater for small parties on the weekends when I get orders this is called DETHK Cocktails and it is owned by me and registered as a business name though I have not done much with it. I also have an unregistered Papercraft hobby name REGEG Crafts and I do this freelance for friends and family .
I thought it important to mention all these as they form part of the activities I have engaged in within the last 10 years and I am aware that it is important to mention all activities engaged during this period.
Though this activities/engagements do not form part of the basis by which I am qualified for the Express Entry program, I do not wish to withhold any information from the CIC hence this Letter of Explanation.

CIC is fully aware that side hustles are commonplace in Nigeria, as reflected in some applicants' GCMS notes. They have also described some cash inflows into applicants account as "other sources probably from other businesses as commonly obtained in Nigeria ".

24th May: IP1/ ADR (To upload the right ECA from IQAS). Contacted IQAS severally and finally on 25th of june, found out assessment done for me was Educational not immigration. So i was directed to re apply to IQAS for re assessment and make fresh payment . Did same on the same date ( Iqas informed me it will take them 12 to 13 weeks to release new ECA) so the wait started and CIC kept sending me letters to submit or app will be rejected.
17th October: received ECA from IQAS n forwarded to CIC immediately.
1st November: MEP
2nd November: IP2
6th November: PPR

My question is our POF is domiciled in hubby's account. He wants to get an affidavit to indicate that he is the one sponsoring our relocation and i have access to the said fund. Is this acceptable please. Someone please bail me out of my misery biko.

This is not misery biko.
I believe the affidavit should suffice. But if it bothers you that much, get him transfer the POF to your own account and make the gift deed (gift deed isn't even necessary in this case, just include it in an LOE).

Or is he afraid you'll carry the money and run? (this is a joke pls!).

If one could make it to Abuja, I believe the waiting list is shorter than that of Lagos. .

I don't think this is correct. Prime Medicals said immigration medicals are suspended (for now). No known date for resumption.
